There is now another restaurant there. It's called Beyburcu and this place with Kavi Bistro doesn't exist!

There were three of us eating and we didn't make a reservation. We got a table in the back room. Unfortunately there was a foul smell coming from the kitchen. A menu only is offered for €29.00; you cannot order dishes individually. We were looking forward to visiting the restaurant because Kanaan was recommended by “With pleasure”. The cuisine is said to be Israeli-Palestinian. So we expected fine Levantine food and were disappointed. The beetroot was not fresh and completely tasteless, the cauliflower was overcooked and watery, the coconut milk dessert also tasted watery. There was little good in this “menu” worth mentioning. In short, tasteless food for too much money. The very friendly service was positive, although - as in Mitte - they only spoke English. We were asked if we enjoyed the food. After we politely said no, the price for 1 menu was waived.

Very good food in an interesting place

a wonderful place with wonderful people and a wonderful concept. This is how integration works! The food: a dream. Every dish. You can't go wrong here. The wines are excellent. And the service is very friendly. We are regular guests here and it is an absolute pleasure every time!

It was a quiet evening, but I know it can be crowded and loud. Food great!!! Service was okay, could be a little more behind, but always friendly and there when you called them.

Service didn't even talk to me and handed me a Falafel for 6€ thats normally like 4€ everywhere. When I asked why they said that Sauce (Hummus) was 1€ extra, they just put it in there without asking though. Don't go there.

I have a heart for unpretentious shops with traditional food that you rarely find anywhere else. For example, this shop offers Molokhiyah, which is rarely found elsewhere. It would only be nicer if the quality of the food was actually good. I thought I would make a safe choice by ordering the bamieh (okra) with lamb instead of the fancier dishes. However, the dish was already old and had been reheated several times, which was evident from the strong taste. Possibly To disguise this, it was also salted quite heavily. I would probably have been better served with a grill plate; both in terms of freshness and taste. I was only able to eat half of my meal and I still probably got mild food poisoning afterwards, which made it difficult for me to go about my everyday life. So, terrible conclusion for the traditional dishes here. The stars for service and food are there because the grill plates are OK and the starter plate is delicious and generous.

The shawarma tastes really good and the staff is very friendly. I give 4 stars because you can find even better shawarma in Berlin.

It was a very entertaining and entertaining evening with really great artists and delicious food.
