Lasan Restaurant in Berlin

The atmosphere was really strange. I was there with my boyfriend and we felt very uncomfortable. The staff kept staring at us and making comments in Kurdish. It was hurtful to my boyfriend, and I will avoid this restaurant from now on, which is a real shame.

A truly admirable restaurant. The meat is of exceptional quality and fully justifies the price. The side dishes and service are also very competent. The beautiful traditional pictures and decorations create a very inviting and cozy atmosphere. Bro, just go there, trust me! 🙏

I love this restaurant! My favorite dish is the spicy/sour chicken wings. Oh my gosh, they taste soooo good! And then there's the mixed appetizer platter! I can't get enough of them! You guys are the best!

I usually ho there twice a month to have "mahshi kebab" there. I like the restaurant very much. The staff are nuce and the kebab is fresh and tasty. It may not be a good place if you look for a cozy and calm place. But, you should already know how crowded could be a restaurant un heart of Kreuzberg close to a police station!

Very delicious food! Our companion from Northern Iraq confirmed it – very authentic cuisine! We all enjoyed it very much. The lentil soup with the delicious sesame bread was excellent! The grilled meat was a revelation. The meat was super tender and flavorful. The biryani rice – simply delicious! The service was unfussy but polite. The area around the restaurant at Kotti isn't so nice. Nevertheless – Lasan is definitely recommended. We'll be back!

Very good Kurdish-Iraqi food at fair (cheap) prices – good portions too, including a bonus starter (soup and bread). The bread is a particular highlight, as it's baked fresh in the oven. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, the service doesn't match this high standard: Some employees seem unfriendly and uncommunicative. Drinks and food are placed on the table without a word; a smile or a brief "You're welcome or enjoy your meal" is completely missing. Especially in such a great restaurant, it would be nice if the atmosphere were complemented by friendlier service. Today without any love, and I waited 15 minutes until I got a menu. And the food was simply thrown at me by the light brown haired waitress, without so much as a "please" or "bon appetit".

The Kurdish food Quzi was very interesting to me. The lamp was well cooked and tender with tasty sauce and side dish with Aubergine. It could be less salty by the way :)

Wow. I was in Bashur (Kurdistan) for holidays and thought I‘d never have kebab this tasty ever again. But here I am, eating at Lasan. It tastes sooo good! I know it sounds pretentious and made up, but I literally stopped for a moment when I took the first bite because it was ridiculously good, I couldn’t believe it. 🫡 The kebab was amazing, the bread could have been bigger/a bit softer, Ayran wasn‘t my favorite (I‘m very picky though) and neither was the biriyani (a hint too sweet bcs of the dried fruits), but the lentil soup was delicious as well. I’ll come back. سوپاس ✨

For the price, the portions were quite small and, above all, bland. The kebab is very good, the lentil soup that always accompanies it is also fine, but everything else is average at best. My companion's vegetarian dish was almost unseasoned, a cardinal sin when it comes to vegetarian food. The cheap olive oil was very noticeable in the hummus, and the black tea (free, after all) had been in the pot for a very long time. The main course arrived very shortly after the starter, so one of the two inevitably had to be eaten cold. And the bottle of water for 5 euros was a Spreequell plastic bottle that had simply been placed on the table. Sorry, but good service doesn't work. It's not the restaurant's fault, but if you sit outside, you can expect to be visited by 5-6 not-so-pleasant guests at your table, which is unfortunately normal at Kotti. A year ago, the prices were about half what they are today; unfortunately, someone got greedy.

Excellent biryani (more like plov), as were the two accompanying soups (esp. the eggplant). Fresh naan and a glass of ayran made in house make for a great meal. At the first glance I thought there is no way I could finish it all. Lo-and-behold - ended up "cleaning the dish". Service takes some effort to flag down but the food is worth it. Edit: visited a few more times since. Food still very good, but prices are getting a bit too high and portions - smaller. So - 1 star off unfortunately.

Since then, the prices have risen significantly (in a way that's incomprehensible), so you pay at least €10-15 more for the same thing. The food is still excellent, but you can now get just as good food elsewhere, but much cheaper. Very disappointing.

One of the tastiest food in Berlin! You start with a complementary lentil soup and proceed to the amazing meat skewers. They have a tandoor oven which makes the best bread 🍞 prices are also reasonable!

When I arrived I first went to the toilet, which was clogged and the sink was also under water, which wasn't the restaurant's fault but still wasn't exactly nice Then we ordered at our table, which wobbled so much that you thought you were on a seesaw, but it was the only one that was still free outside and we fixed it with cardboard... we ended up with 2 kebab skewers, 1 chicken skewer and 1 small piece of rice The soup arrived wasn't to my liking but it wasn't disgusting either so I ate mine and my daughter's because she didn't like it at all and I'm not a fan of throwing food away. I was barely halfway through the soup and the skewers arrived. I was so disappointed, no seasoning, nothing, so I got better seasoned meat or chicken myself from the supermarket and had to wait after rinsing because we weren't offered any drinks nor was there anyone there where you could order because everyone was rushing past you. I couldn't even pull out the homemade bread, which had so little taste - I've had better ones. My husband then ate the skewers but it was more out of hunger and politeness that he didn't like it either. Until then it's all just a matter of taste. Afterwards we drove home for 5 hours. I was constantly throwing up. My husband didn't eat his soup and we didn't get anything beforehand. I'm pretty sure it was because of her. I was feeling great before. We don't even have to talk about the prices otherwise it will come back to me straight away.. in our opinion 0 to recommend I don't know before these good reviews come, we followed that and were bitterly disappointed!

Honestly, the waitress... has no knowledge or understanding and needs to be educated. My regards... I would prefer that the restaurant be Kurdish-Iraqi, with Iraqis in the shop, not Afghans, and tell me this is Germany. If you don't know German, don't order. The restaurant was excellent a few years ago.

We went to this Kurdish place during a office lunch. In Menu they have lots of options to choose from. They start with a big flat bread and a soup as an Appetizer We ordered day special food and , tandur chicken ( seems costly) and lamb maheshi Overall it was good. Cost wise not so worth.

I drove more than 40 minutes to reach the restaurant. The food was not good and the price was exaggerated. There was no salad or appetizers and the biryani was not eaten.

I am extremely satisfied with the food and service. Very professionally decorated. The taste was incredible, it was delicious. Visually with design, it was also served very nicely. Everything was fresh... I would love to come back.

Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen türkisch/arabischen Imbissen in der Ecke nett zum Sitzen, Personal freundlich und sieht alles hygienisch aus. Fladenbrot wird direkt vor Ort frisch gemacht und lecker. Das Fleisch wird am offenen Holzkohlengrill zubereitet. Leider war mein Lamm-Spieß ungewürzt. Ebenso die Auberginen-Paste kam geschmacklos daher und hätte Würze und Pep vertragen. Humus war gut. Fazit: Kann man machen hungrig am Kotti geht aber auch deutlich besser. Zumal einem nichts geschenkt wird.

After nine years, I'm giving up my regular guest status because not only have the prices increased again at the turn of the year (which has happened at a galloping pace in recent years), but in addition to the price increase, you now also have something off your plate at lunch taken and another halved in quantity. So, you now get less at increased prices. I've been through everything in the last few years: that the bread and falafel balls have become smaller and smaller, that you now have to order the salad separately with the kebab, that a small minced meat skewer now costs twice as much as it did 4 or 5 years ago. But now the price-performance ratio is completely out of control and I just feel ripped off. Continue to have fun maximizing your profits, you will find enough idiots in Berlin who will put up with any rip-off.

Unfortunately our visit to this restaurant was a complete disappointment. We, three women, just wanted something to drink and were immediately rejected. The reason? We were rudely told that this was not a shisha bar, but a restaurant. Such unnecessary and dismissive comments leave an extremely bad impression. To make matters worse, before we even received this rude rejection, we went to the bathroom. Instead of politely pointing out that we should perhaps ask first, we were addressed in a condescending tone. The treatment was disrespectful, unprofessional and completely inappropriate. The way we were treated was simply insulting. Such behavior - especially in the catering industry, where friendliness and service should actually be the priority - is unacceptable. I cannot recommend this restaurant based on this experience. We wanted to sit outside and it was really EMPTY outside!! not a single customer.

Yesterday we were there for the first time with 6 people. Table was reserved in advance. Unfortunately not taken into account on site. So there were 6 of us sitting at a table for 3 people. An effort was made to get a larger table, but this was not possible because everything was full. The food or the starter soup (cold lentil soup) came very quickly. You couldn't even finish these because the main courses came. If the table was a reasonable size it wouldn't have been a problem, but we had to play Tetris and everyone actually had their food in their hands or on their laps. Since the dishes were not hot but only lukewarm, the pans were easy to hold in your hand. The waitress asked if everything was OK. We said no and all they said was "great, bon appetit" which was cheeky...

Fui a este restaurante con algunos compañeros de trabajo mientras visitaba Berlín. La comida era fresca, sabrosa y de buena calidad. Me gustó mucho y volvería de nuevo.
