“We have been visiting this restaurant regularly for two years now and we always enjoy it. The food is always excellent and has never disappointed us - the quality and taste are simply fantastic. The service is friendly, attentive and always makes you feel welcome. No matter what we try, every dish is a delight and the attention to detail is noticeable. This restaurant is definitely worth five stars and is our absolute favorite in the city. We look forward to many more visits!”

Quaint Italian restaurant with good service and delicious food

Nice cafe, cozy, smells delicious, delicious food! Went in to eat and warm up. Friendly waiter. Prices are average, affordable, music plays, there is a shared toilet, a bar.

Cosy, family character. Limited menu but the quality is very high. They only use high quality products. Price-quality ratio is very high. Large aperitif board with aperol, main course, a glass of wine and large bottle of sparkling water for 2 people €84.

Best pizza we had in a while. Basically no waiting time the staff wasn’t just super friendly but also really quick. The great service and food was only topped by a fantastic espresso, honestly would go back just for that. Can only highly recommend.

Delicious food, funny waiter whose humor may not be for everyone.

I go relatively often after the VHS courses for lunch or evening, the food tastes good, I've always been satisfied.

Unfortunately, the rustic restaurant Pizza&Gusto no longer exists. From December 1st, the “Diazo” system catering service will be active here. The reviews of the other locations in this chain leave something to be desired. One can only hope that things get better here.

Great food and very friendly service. The wine list is impressive. However, it is surprising that for wines up to around €5,000 per bottle only cash payment is possible.

The food was good. The service without words, the waiter pulls your plate away from you without asking if you're ready. You don't get a bill and try to charge for drinks that we didn't have. Not a single Italian in the shop, why do they do things in Italian!? Not again!

We had the prawns as a starter and then the fried chicken - both excellent, the potato salad could have been lukewarm. But everything was great, the service was pleasant and very attentive! Really good in winter! We're also looking forward to summer by the water!! A great discovery!

My friend Majid...we've probably known each other for more than 30 years...is the best chef I know...I always eat the sea bream baked from the oven in his restaurant...

The irritation began at reception when we were called by our first name without being asked. Not that I have anything against being on first name terms in principle. But for people almost twice as old, unasked means disrespectful. On the few meter walk to the table we were asked if we wanted a bottle of water. After sitting at the table for a few seconds, waitress number two came and asked, even before we had seen a menu, if we wanted a bottle of water. Is this attentive or intrusive? I call it the pusher mentality. As a starter my wife chose Insalata Ceasar alla IL Calice for €11.50. The salad essentially consisted of halved romaine lettuce and coarsely shaved parmesan. The sourdough croutons advertised on the menu, like the Caesar dressing, were only available in homeopathic doses and were therefore difficult to find. The criticism that my wife expressed to her friend (“The salad was dry and uninspired.”) was dismissed with the unreasonable objection that this dish had been one of the top sellers for years. As if it would change anything about the poor quality. For the main course, due to the lack of acceptable vegetarian alternatives, we opted for Spaghettini Putanesca Style at a price of €22 each. The poorly cooked pasta (advertised on the homepage as “delicious home-made pasta”) gave the impression that the chef had taken it from a pasta package from Ja! poured into the water and taken out too soon. Background information: We have been making pasta at home for more than 40 years and know about taste and consistency. Conclusion: In my life, while traveling as a specialist editor, I have gotten to know countless exclusive restaurants in more than 20 countries on three continents. Il Calice is clearly not one of them.
