Il Padrino is ideally located at the Isar. Ensuring a lovely setting certainly if they install a big screen close to the river, so you can watch sports games while eating / drinking on the terrace. Their gastronomical concept however is a riddle to me. It is something between a biergarten & an Italian restaurant without a proper range of beer or pasta and they service something in between a panini & pizza. 🤷‍♂️

Really nice and casual Italian place with Italian music and Italian staff. The menu is compact but covers most options. There is a very big wine selection including regional options which was tasty. The service was good, fast and friendly. The space is more like a bistro so good for adults, couples or groups.

Great little restaurant...with great service...you always want to come back...it doesn't always work out. ..it would be great..if you were open on Sunday!!!We are waiting for the summer terrace to open..thank you for your hospitality...homemade noodles, wood-fired pizza...We will come back to you!!!

It all takes a long time... but the food is great

The dishes tasted absolutely amazing. I was particularly happy about the homemade kombucha. Finally a tasty and fresh change from the usual soft drinks.

I went to eat at this place because a German friend who spoke well about it invited me. I am from Padua (clarification for the owner). However, food has very little to do with Italian cuisine. The managers are not Italian and therefore in my opinion they do not know Italian cuisine well. I ate the baked tortellini which is a dish that practically does not exist here in Italy as well as the Hawaii pizza. I was sick all night. My friend ate a pizza that was practically raw. The dessert, a simple tiramisu, was normal, that is, what you can make at home with a little effort. The staff slow but kind. The cook, perhaps the only Italian in the restaurant, seemed very stressed. The prices are exaggerated for the quality offered, even considering the location. My friend was also disappointed. Not to be repeated. I advise the rude owner to come and eat in any restaurant in Italy to get an idea of ​​Italian cuisine instead of writing nonsense. As for tortellini, it is useless to explain to him how to prepare them because he lacks the basis of Italian cuisine. Although it is not a well-known recipe, it is quite easy to prepare if you have minimal knowledge of Italian cuisine.

Wir saßen draußen an einer ruhigen Straße. Restaurant selbst ist im Souterrain mit wenig Tageslicht. Essen war sehr lecker, 2:1-Gutschein kein Problem. Wir würden wiederkommen.

We stumbled upon this lovely restaurant after missing our tram. The very kind host welcomed us even though the restaurant was busy and we didn’t have a reservation. They even kindly let us leave our big suitcase in their small lobby. The food was amazing. We enjoyed delicious pasta. I wish we had room for the toblerone pannacota! I would love to return when I next visit Bonn.

Great value for money and yet I've already been to better Italian restaurants: We got the last available table without a reservation. The starter (fried mushrooms with pizza bread and garlic dip) was fantastic. Afterwards we unfortunately had to wait a long time for our main course (vegetarian pizza and pasta with 4 cheese sauce). As we found out afterwards, this was due to an internal communication error and we were ultimately offered something on the house. The pizza was delicious and unfortunately we were missing salt on the pasta, which is not on the table for seasoning.
