This restaurant used to be an institution, but unfortunately the quality has declined significantly in recent visits. The food is still okay, but no longer outstanding. The mango lassi has completely changed in taste and now tastes completely different - unfortunately rather disappointing. The service also leaves a lot to be desired, the service is often quite slow and you have to wait longer to be served. Recently the smell throughout the restaurant was unpleasant, there was a strong smell of drains - probably an exception, but still very annoying. The prices are okay, but probably not really avoidable due to inflation. Nevertheless, compared to before, the restaurant has significantly lost quality. For the price you get simple cuisine, but it doesn't really stand out. Overall, I wouldn't go here again. There are definitely better alternatives in the area.

I'm so sad that you're closing. You had a really nice and friendly team. The food was amazing, and the portions were huge. Hope you reopen sometime. Best wishes, Dorit Witte-Soliman

Friendly staff, very relaxed. If you don't have time, you'll get irritated, but. The food is good.

Hello? There is no shop here, let alone a restaurant!

As tourists from northern Germany, we were looking forward to the Anand in Berlin. But the disappointment began with the first drink: The glass of sugarcane juice was only half full. Filled with ice, hardly any juice. When we asked why so little had been poured (even though we had paid in full), the staff responded rudely: "I'll refill it for free now." Excuse me? We paid for a full glass. Refilling isn't a courtesy, it's the bare minimum. Instead of understanding, we received only a rude response. Unfortunately, the food couldn't save the day either: lukewarm to cold, and that at €80 for three people. Many reviews address precisely these problems, and the team reacts to criticism with a bad mood and defensive attitude. You almost feel like you have to justify even finding fault with anything. Too bad, this has nothing to do with true Punjabi hospitality. So, in the end, all that remains is disappointment. About the ambiance: Beautifully located, beautifully furnished, but that alone isn't enough.

Waiters prefer to talk on their AirPods. Dishes are getting smaller and smaller. They taste okay, but unfortunately the prices are really high. I've always enjoyed coming here, but recently I unfortunately had an incident where I wanted to pay with a card and then realized the waiter had tipped himself. I basically just typed in 2 euros more. I noticed it because I had paid with Apple Pay, and when I confronted him about it, he tried to talk his way out of it and then wanted to give me back in cash 😂 Everyone can decide for themselves whether to tip. Too bad...
