We found this place via the Find Me Gluten Free app, and we weren't disappointed!! The food itself was absolutely amazing and the staff were very helpful with explaining what my coeliac partner could and couldn't have from the menu. We would happily return for more of the same.

Best authentic Indian food in the city

We had reserved a table. My impression was that since something was free, people weren't interested in it. The reference to the buffet was mumbled incomprehensibly when the card was handed over. We ate a la carte. The buffet seemed small to us. Food was very tasty. However, after a few bites it was spicy, which wasn't what was on the menu. For me the service could have been more attentive. For drinks we would have to look for the waitress. There was no question as to whether it was tasty and there was no invoice, no proof of payment after card payment and no question as to whether this was needed.

I think the food was very tasty, especially the curry sauce and the chicken was very tasty. You can also eat vegetarian food very well, my mother was enthusiastic about the tofu dish. There were also large portions.

Amazing Indian restaurant. Best paranthe in Berlin. Must try if you are craving Indian paranthe. Also they have amazing assortment of sweets.

Choosing Anand Catering for our wedding was the best decision! The service was impeccable, and they went above and beyond to accommodate our guests’ dietary preferences. It delivers the essentials well, the flavors are original and adapted to European tastes. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a single smile from the staff ;(

Located in the middle of the city with ample seating, great staff and lip smacking food, the restaurant is value for money in berlin and the owner and his daughter are super friendly! Will come to berlin just for Anand ka khana again! Must try their paneer parathas, buffet and chole samosa.

**Not recommended – Overpriced and disappointing!** I bought an Indian sweet (Pink Rasgulla filled) from this restaurant and was absolutely disappointed. The quality was poor and the price was way too high. In the restaurant the goods are supposedly offered fresh, which was not the case! In a normal Indian shop I get the sweets **fresher** and **cheaper**, even though they are packaged there. Here it was just a **rip**. The taste was old and stale - definitely not what you would expect from an Indian restaurant. I cannot recommend anyone to buy candy here as it is a **brazen** rip-off. Very disappointing!

Furthermore, your answer did not address the fact that your employee welcomed us in an absolutely unfriendly and rude manner. By the way, we didn't receive an invoice either. Nevertheless, we can of course come to your place with the package that says “Anand Restaurant” on it. That should be more than enough evidence.

We drove so far here with great excitement because the daughter and father post so many advertisements about their shop and the food. When we arrived, neither of them were there, there were two ladies serving us, one lady really didn't feel like serving and brought the food over like that, so eat it now. Have a good appetite or if you enjoyed it, would you like anything else, NOTHING AT ALL. Unfortunately the food wasn't tasty, I was hoping for much more. THE BOSS has to look after his staff, or at least stay in the house. We took Rassmalai home with us, the next day I wanted to eat it and it was SOUR. I learned from this visit that when people advertise their business, it doesn't seem like it is. They've made their money, they don't care about anything else. This is a tourist trap.

If you want to eat rice in Berlin, you really need to find an Indian restaurant. It’s not expensive and there are many of them.

We didn't have a good experience here. Came here after seeing good reviews and rating. We waited excruciatingly long for our food while a lot of people ordered after us got their food. The taste was not worth the wait. Also, we didn't get the food we ordered as well. Our evening was kind of spoiled. Never again(!) and not recommending :)

If you are craving for Parathas...this is the best place in town..the motichur laddoo is also pretty good for dessert.

I went there so hungry and it was like 5 mins before closing but they served me well and the food was on god so yummy. I would recommend the chicken fried rice like 10/10

The food was phenomenal. They have a decent vegan menu and a huge vegetarian one. Usually tofu dishes don’t *wow* me, but it was again, phenomenal. It’s affordable and delicious. The food also came very quickly. Would recommend 100%!

I saw your so many videos on Tik tok and thought to give a try. 5 of us come from Köln to vist berlin and went this restaurant last Saturday for Buffet lunch [17 euro]. The food was not fresh at all. Tandori Chicken masala <if remember the name correct >was old. Mix veg more zucchini then Panner or any other veg. Smasa te pakro v old c refried Jalbi like left over they put in Buffet. Nan te Butery were fresh Serice is very good. It's an avrage restaurant

I thought it was ok but nothing more. The food at Anand's is good, although I would have generally liked a little more spice. Otherwise everything is very rich and you will feel full. The Mango Lassi is 100% bought and not homemade. But maybe that's common practice here. I didn't think it was that cheap if I'm honest.

Their food is really good. If you are looking for authentic indian taste, this is the place to be!

Never ever had such worst experience. I went for afternoon lunch Buffett. I couldn't imagine why such a low quality for 13,99 euros. The staff was so rude that she preferred not to fill the curry when it was empty. When still one hour of the buffet time left. I gues no more visit to this place. There are very good indian restaurants if you want to taste good food and better hospitality. None can you expect here!!!!

Today I was in Berlin with my family of 3 people on a trip from Hamburg. From Google we chose the Indian restaurant Anand. First of all, the service force was okay. After ordering everything, nothing came together! One after another, mostly cold, main course comes without any side dishes!! I ordered a butter nan it comes too late when the chicken tikka plate is empty, we said before ordering please serve everything together, the ladies messed everything up without paying any attention! Don't apologize either. We also ordered some food. She honestly says it takes a long time. We are of Indian origin. We ordered all the food Indian hot. The waitress forgot everything because I asked for green chili?! She had also forgotten and attended Andren's table…. We left our entire lunch time dissatisfied 😌 Scade, the food was good but service was zero

We were at Anand and realized that it is not suitable for families with small children. All main course; even what is marked as not sharp. Even when asked, the waitresses were unable to recommend or provide food for our three-year-old daughter; We then went to the bakery around the corner.

We tried an afternoon buffet. It offers decent varieties of indian dishes with 3 veg 3 nonveg options including achar, papad, salad and sweets. Friendly staff and good atmosphere.

Unfortunately my experience here was way below expectations. I had ordered the Chicken Biryani and it was awful. It was basically soggy rice in a chicken curry bowl. Paneer curry was edible. Staff and the service were decent. All in all I didn't quite have a pleasant experience. Would not recommend if you are looking for actual quality Indian food. Sorry for leaving a bad rating - but that Biryani you served was abysmal, so not sorry.

I had a great time at the Sunday buffet at Restaurant Anand. The food was affordable and delicious, with lots of tasty Indian dishes to choose from. Everything was full of flavor, and the Samosa was sooo tasty! The place has a cozy vibe, perfect for a relaxing Sunday meal. The staff was really friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely recommend if you're in the mood for some good Indian food!

Portions were small and the food was prepared more for Instagram and photos than for the stomach. In any case, I was pretty disappointed because the reviews were all positive, but apparently you can't trust them and the negative comments were deleted. So the taste wasn't something that would have blown me away. I missed the strong aromatic kick of cumin, turmeric, garlic and ginger and spiciness.

We went there for dinner with a friend. The service was reserved and unfriendly from the start. But I didn't attach any importance to this fact. The food was ok to good. I would give it 3.5 stars. However, the reason for my review is the payment process. I wanted to pay the bill of around 50 euros in cash with a 100 euro. "That's not possible, I can't change" and I have to pay by card, which is what we did. When our friend wanted to pay his 25 euro bill: "That's not possible, I can't change," he should pay by card. But he didn't have a card. When she asked her to change, all she said was "that's not possible". When asked what to do next: "Wait, maybe later." After about 15 minutes, our friend was able to pay with the waitress's rude behavior. Unfortunately not recommended...

One month ago I visited there for buffet but food was not fresh and tasty but I thought maybe it's just my opinion but yesterday I went with my friend same happened again food was not fresh taste was clearly saying it's couple of days old also naan was burnt when I complained to the waitress while paying bill she said if you said before I oder for new naan seriously you are putting at buffet burnt naan and saying if you say before I oder for new then why you put burnt naan there not only one time so I wanna recommend that never go there for buffet they give people old food at buffet not worth at all Not Recommendable at all

Very small buffet that it's nearly non existent, for a very high price considerably every other open buffet ever in Germany , I get it's hard to make an Indian open buffet but this is a joke, they had only 2 two types of dessert? And they don't have all you can drink offer? On top of that tap water costs money too?

This restaurant is fooling Europeans in the name of Indian food. I had recently been there for the buffet lunch and the food was really bad. They served Chennai Rasam like it was tomato soup made with coconut milk. It was literally light pink in colour with no tempering and no spice at all (not even exaggerating)! The curries were made like it was made with sugar and they forgot to add chillies in it. In the desserts menu they had broken pieces of Jalebi with oil soaking in it. Some sweet bajji which was also soaking in oil. No, I am not confusing it with sugar syrup. It was oil !!! The papads where kept out in open air, which made them all soggy. The Naan tasted like PITA bread. The chicken and mutton was tender in the curry which made it all edible. I would highly recommend NOT TO GO here if you want to eat good Indian food

We tried the buffet and were very enthusiastic about the food available. It wasn't very varied, but there was something for every taste. There were two different starters, 3 vegetarian meals and 3 normal meals. There was also a trolley with dessert, but we stayed away from it because it was half on the sidewalk and there were already animals in the form of flies etc . have collected. The women who served us had different “moods” and I thought to myself that she wasn’t really happy about working there.

Very good Indian food, with a good balance of sweetness and spiciness. Meat nice and soft and tasty. Garlic Naan goes very well with our Chicken Korma and C. Tikka Masala. We'll be happy to come back on our next visit to Berlin! LG

We were in the restaurant during the week and took advantage of the lunch buffet offer. The food was very tasty, especially not so heavily Europeanized. Good value for money, very friendly service. If we are in Berlin again, we would be happy to do so again.

Very expensiv but unfortunately no Taste. - dal makhni was just tin brown linzen from ja! Rewe 😂. Zero taste. -Biryani? Those were chicken rice not biryani, please change the name of dish. And quantity was very very less according price (200 - 250 grams for 14 euros. - 3 very small Roti and 2 very small Naans for 17 euros 😂😂. - Mutton dish only 200 grams for 17 euros 😂🤣😂🤣. - chicken jalfarezi was good in taste but very less in Quantity and very expensiv.

This restaurant tries to scam you by double charging your credit card. If at all possible, please pay with cash. Even before I asked which mode of payment was preferred, the waiter approached me with a credit card reader. I unassumingly paid with card, only to have two of the exact same charges on my card. Please pay with cash, or else you will most definitely get scammed. The waiter will try convincing you that it was an “error” on their end, but it most definitely is not—both transactions were approved and I was double charged. Don’t make the same mistake if you dine here.

They had very good chats, sweets (we tried gulag jamun) and dosas. It's not costly and the chats are must have.

We ordered Madras Rasam and Chicken Biriyani from this restaurant and both dishes were disappointing. I understand that the taste would be adapted to suit European taste buds, but we specifically asked for spicy and what we got was not spicy but rather quite bland. Also, Madras Rasam has lentils in it! I would say definitely not authentic Indian food.

This is my first buffet experience in Germany. Overall it was worthy for the price but the taste was not top notch. I could only suggest if you're a North indian. If you love to eat spicy food like me, this is not the place.

This is the most authentic Indian food you can get in berlin ....They make the dishes perfectly like you want..And they have very good variety of vegetarian food which gives them the extra brownies points ...All indian dishes need not be overtly spicy always and they know how to make the best indian food ...Kudos to their service....

We were impressed by the reviews for this place, so booked in advance as we fancied a break from Currywurst. Wish we hadn’t bothered. Certainly wasn’t nearly as good as a decent Indian in the UK. Naan breads were floury and limp. Chicken in my jalfrezi looked like lumps from a frozen packet of chicken nuggets. Sauces tasted mainly of chilli and salt. Would not revisit.

I was eating at a restaurant with two friends. We were able to reserve a table quickly and easily online. The restaurant has a very large selection of different dishes and also offers a buffet. The food itself was okay, but it didn't really impress any of us. The food was really very spicy, even though the dishes didn't explicitly indicate an increased level of spiciness. The salad that was served also seemed rather bland. Overall, we were unfortunately not impressed with the visit.
