Yogi-Haus Lichterfelde in Berlin

Ordered the food very tasty based on a recommendation. Service attentive and also chatty. Ambiance cozy. We were there yesterday in the middle of the week and ordered a table and that was a good thing. Always happy.

Had a great meal there today with the girls, great service, any time again!

Actually, the Yogi House was always my favorite Indian place, but I've been here for a while now and unfortunately things have changed for the worse. The recipes have been adapted and my favorite dish, Chicken Korma, unfortunately ended up containing raisins or something similar (in my opinion, that wasn't on the menu either). Additionally, the amount of meat has been reduced while prices have increased. Too bad! Luckily my highlight remained the same, the bathura still tastes delicious.

Yesterday I ate here again for a long time and was very impressed with the food and the service. The food was incredibly tasty and the staff was friendly and considerate. I was there for the first time today with someone, i.e. the two of us. The service was quick and very friendly. Everyone had their own meal with rice and a salad each. We were surprised that we were only given a salad. When we asked where the second salad was, we were told we had to share it. No reason was given and the request was not answered. Portions quite small. I ordered a meal that was very spicy, unfortunately that wasn't the case.

That used to be our favorite place. We still eat there, but less often. Like almost everywhere, the prices have risen or remained the same but the portions have shrunk. The bowls are full as before but the meat has become significantly less and the glasses are overloaded with ice cubes. Of course everyone has to see how to get along. Please don't misunderstand this, everything really tastes very good. It's no longer lush. I can confirm what some people have commented on here, with milky glasses etc. There are boxes in the back of the restaurant and it's cluttered. We were there with a child and the child's mouth made the truth known, it said: it stinks here! It was a mixture of smells from the kitchen and a far too large amount of incense sticks or something similar. But people are nice and attentive, at least that's what we think.

We love this Indian... We only noticed that the owner had changed because of the new menu. Food is still great. My clear favorite is the vegetable soup and the garlic naan. Absolute hammer. Of course, papadam is a must, with the incredibly delicious mint dip… I love it. Service is great. Prices are moderate, so that's perfectly fine for us. Keep it up… we’ll be happy to come back Oh and by the way... opening times are from 11:30 a.m.... we're always there shortly after eleven and still receive a warm welcome. Chicken Channa, Bhuna Ghoost, Pakodas and Indian Ice Cream was the order of long lunch and the best I can say is “Wow, what a lunch!” The Pakodas were crisp and tasty with herbs and fresh chutneys. Tender chicken and chickpeas in a thick spicy gravy are chicken channa, while bhuna ghoost provides tender lamb pieces in a smokey robust flavor. The Indian Ice Cream was very rich and smooth making the perfect end to the excellently crafted meal. I must mention that every single dish was prepared in great detail and that every one of them left an indelible impression.

We have been ordering from Yogi Haus since 2022 and originally had many good experiences. Unfortunately, we have had negative experiences with the last 3 orders and were INTENTIONALLY LIEED TO TWICE. Customer service is different and unfortunately we can no longer order from Yogi Haus because of these moments. 08/18/24: (via Lieferando) We have been ordering a certain vegetarian soup for a long time - AS VEGETARIANS. As I eat it, I notice that it is a piece of chicken. When you complain over the phone, you first apologize, but no new soup is sent with the information that Lieferando is to blame because they haven't adjusted the menu for months. 08/22/24: (on site) When paying in the restaurant, my partner wants to pay with a credit card and the waiter almost urgently persuades him that he should really use the debit card. This in itself wouldn't bother us if it had been asked in a more neutral way. 08.09.24: (via Lieferando) Today the situation has worsened again. After a hot day, we ordered the vegetarian platter as a menu with **Lassi and Indian ice cream**. On arrival only the warm food arrived **without any further information** as to why neither had been delivered. Here too we call again and the same story is told as on August 18, 24. It's Liederando's fault and they haven't updated the menu. [I also worked in marketing for the food platform and knew this was a lie. Lieferando definitely doesn't need more than 3 weeks to adapt a menu.] When my partner goes back to the menu in Lieferando, we see that just minutes after our call, the price of the vegetarian platter has been reduced and the ice cream has now become a dessert. Conclusion: For me, this represents INTENTIONAL DECEPTION. The employee had access to Lieferando's interface and was able to adjust the menu the entire time. How is this not a scam?

I have been to Berlin in recent summer vacation and found this restaurant while wandering..I was not much hungry but smell of food was so good which forced me to eat there Just like food atmosphere and services were on top too I would definitely recommend eating in yogi Haus👍

Good food, nice staff. and nice ambiance.

Unfortunately I have to change my rating because the food came before the drinks, which came after 15 minutes. I would have to pay extra for the rice. We have been good guests for a long time... But if the owner has changed and the new one has no idea, then we would never come back... The atmosphere is still the same but the children's chair was dirty.

The food was very nice and my opinion not so spicy hot as would be in the UK. I was a little disappointed with the size of the portions. The service was friendly but slightly clumsy. We eat outside where there is a large cover for bad weather. Made it more cosy. Parking on the street but you should easily find a space but it is 2 minutes walk from the Sbahn.

Used to be one of my favorite restaurants. But today was the negative peak. Mistakes happen, especially when training new staff. Apple juice became apple spritzer, the special came without carbonation. Even the Pellegrino from the bottle didn't taste good. Was complained about. The second speci wasn't any better either, what with "You have to complain to the Cola and Fanta makers." was commented on. They then let them go back when they were very upset. The mood was already in the basement. The food - chicken or lamb curry and chickpeas with potatoes - was spicy, but somehow bland. When we ordered more rice, we explicitly asked whether it would cost anything. Four months ago, my team was charged €3 for each additional bowl when eating together. Supposedly it has always been refilled free of charge. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is no longer nice either. The wooden terrace definitely needs to be repaired in several places. These are significant sources of danger, especially for people with walking or visual impairments. Unfortunately there were used cloths on the floor and the glasses looked very "calcified". We are super disappointed with this development and are avoiding the Yogi House from now on.

Not recommended, even though there were hardly any guests, but there was still a 30 minute wait for the food. You order a naan, according to the menu, but you get a Bhatura (Indian BREAD). A tiny little bowl of rice, supposedly for 2 people. You have to reorder rice for 2.50. EVERYTHING is served in a lot of sauce, but you can search for the contents (meat, paneer...) The best thing is, after an equally long wait, the waiter comes without a bill and speaks the amount in your ear. Prices are okay.

Service really incompetent and very slow! The 2 rice took a good 10 minutes and the food was then cold... The drinks had no carbonation at all and even after asking to bring new ones, they weren't really any better! The atmosphere was very pleasant and cozy and the food was ok. Unfortunately, the chef can't help it if the service isn't clear :( But still won't come again! A pity

Delicious Indian in the south of Berlin. If you like Indian food, this is the place for you.

This was our first time in the restaurant and it wasn't the last time. Food was very good, finally really hot food, thanks for that.

We spontaneously visited the Yogi Haus for the first time on May 27th, 2024. On a Monday evening there were only a few tables on the spacious terrace; We had a free choice of seats and were allowed to sit at a table for four. We ordered two starters, a soup (chicken soup with mango - very tasty😋) and a main course, as well as tandoori bread. The dips served as amuse gueule were amazing, so delicious 🤤 The chicken curry with vegetables & fluffy basmati rice was tender and juicy. Interior inside and outside very nice, toilets clean. Service is nice, attentive and funny - sometimes with “southern calm” 😉 EC card payment was possible, but their EC device doesn't have a tip function yet, so we gave tip in cash... People who work in the catering industry like me prefer tip in cash anyway 🙂 With a bill of just under 43 euros (moderate prices, by the way), we gave a tip of 10 euros... so over 20%! , this was received relatively without comment by the boss, head waiter? No idea … So if I get a tip from my guests for a relatively short stay and a bill amount of over 20%, I react differently. ... maybe it's due to a different mentality 😬 ... regardless, it gets full marks because in the end it was a well-rounded, successful visit and it tasted absolutely delicious. At the end there was a “non-alcoholic mango liqueur with rose water”… also delicious. Let's see how everything runs smoothly when the store is completely full 🙂 Conclusion: clear recommendation for delicious dishes that are well seasoned and served attractively 👌

The Yogi House has had a new owner since March 16, 2024. Staff was completely replaced. Let's see how it turns out. So far everything has remained almost identical in terms of the food and drinks and their quality. Staff a bit “worse”, as they are not as confident and nice as before, as some of them don't speak German, but that can still be the case. Original review from 2020: Delicious food, finally I don't have to go to Schöneberg anymore. A few things are different, but it's a different chef :-)

New management. Unfortunately the service and the food have deteriorated significantly. The staff was friendly but unfortunately clearly overwhelmed. Not just at our table. Unfortunately, the beer wasn't cold and the food was ok but nothing more. It's a shame, the yogi house was always a good address. Unfortunately there is less of a good restaurant in Lichterfelde.

Probably the best Indian food i had in Germany in a long time. The Vegetarian as well as Vegan options, i had, where delicious. The service and staff treated everyone so nice. One of the my favorites.

We were very happy with your meal. The place is pleasant. As far as the prices are concerned, they are a bit excessive. Especially when the bill came and we had to pay 2.50 for a repeat order of rice. Aslant. Also because the prices for all the food here have been going up for a long time anyway. The food here is also more expensive than in the Yogi Haus Schöneberg. I recommend the Murli Wale in Hedwigstrasse/Friedenau! Service great, price-performance ratio great and the food really Indian.

Because of the many good reviews, we went to this previously unknown restaurant. Our expectations were more than met. We ate excellently. We enjoyed the lovingly prepared dishes wonderfully and the service was very attentive and friendly. A great restaurant that we would love to go to again!

I recently visited this restaurant for the first time and honestly the experience was really great . The owner of the restaurant was very friendly. He even was asking us frequently that is everything ok. About the food, it was one of the best Indian food in berlin . The cocktail over there were really trasty , even the waiters were very friendly and welcoming. Overall my experience over there was really good . I would love to go there again for some delicious indian food .

Very stylishly furnished establishment, designed for immediate comfort. Not only was the service extremely friendly and attentive (despite admittedly numerous special requests on our part), but the dishes and drinks were also excellent, extremely enjoyable and appeared quickly on our table. We would be happy to visit this restaurant again. See you next time!

Wonderful restaurant, will come back with great pleasure for food and drinks

The food in the restaurant is quite good, but our waitress was unfriendly to us. It spoiled our mood.

Yesterday we went out to eat again and had the problem that we had reserved the table days ago and at the reception we found that the waitress couldn't find an entry. It was really bad but luckily we got one when we ordered We experienced something that wasn't possible at all, the waitress wrote our order on the palm of her hand ✋🏻✍🏻 I've never experienced anything like that and the waitress didn't really understand us either. I ordered a Hefeweizen and was served 2 straight away and the waitress didn't want to take the 2 Hefeweizen back. Only when I explained to him in a friendly manner that I had only ordered one. What's going on in the Yogi House????? After this experience we will not eat there again until the service improves again. So everything there has to be enjoyed with caution and you can no longer pay with a card!!! LG Andy

We stayed at Yogi Haus with the family two days ago and couldn't have been happier. We were warmly welcomed and the food is really indescribably good and very attractively presented. We were actually able to pay very easily via Paypal. We'd love to come back!

Everyone was very nice and I had a really great birthday there. I can only recommend the Yogi Haus. The prices were good and the food was great.

We were there again after a long time and were disappointed, there are no more papadums and there are far fewer dishes on the menu, at least the food we got was still very tasty. It's a shame that used to be our favorite Indian, but unfortunately it's no longer!

I had dinner with my wife today and it was simply delicious! We had a “Bombay Platter” for two. What can I say? First there was mango lassi, damn salad and bread with such delicious sauces that I would like to have buckets of them. Then came the main course. 3 different dishes with rice and bread. We then treated ourselves to 2 cocktails and schnapps was also included in the menu. The waiters and the boss were very attentive. We didn't lack anything. Full of food and happy, we left the restaurant and paid around €63. In my opinion, the price/performance ratio is definitely good and we can only recommend it.

To date the best Indian restaurant I have had in Berlin! The food is good and tasty, the service is top notch and the prices are very reasonable for a capital. I recommend if you are in this part of the city...

Durchschnittliches indisches Restaurant im Herzen von Lichterfelde. Vernünftiges Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Gehe hier schon seit Jahren gerne hin. Die Bedienung ist flott und sehr freundlich Im Vergleich zu anderen deutschen Indischen Restaurants ist das Essen kräftig gewürzt. Das Hühnchen war bisher immer super saftig auf den Punkt gegart. Die Cocktails sind schön groß und haben ordentlich Bumms. :) Tipp: unbedingt die drei hauseigene Dips bestellen - passt perfekt zum Bhatura. Nur die Innenausstattung wirkt etwas alt und könnte gemütlicher sein.

Hatte ein Entengericht laut Karte mit sehr scharf beschrieben, was es leider nicht war, da könnt ihr euch noch etwas mehr trauen, werde ich beim nächsten mal aber erwähnen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Restaurant hatte ein nettes Ambiente.

Immer freundlich, gleichbleibende Qualität des Essens. Preise in Ordnung. Wir kommen immer wieder gern her.

Autentische indische Küche, freundliches Personal und ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

Wir waren am 05.11.23 im Yogi Haus. Das Essen war soweit Okay nur mein Nachtisch, was in einem kleinem Töpfchen serviert wurde war leider ohne Geschmack. Es sollte nach Vanille und Nuss schmecken aber das war keine Vanille vorhanden und die Nuss ist auch nur vorbei gelaufen und es war steinhart, holt das Eis doch einfach 10 Minuten vorher aus dem Froster, dann schmeckt es vielleicht auch besser. Die Hauptkritiken am Abend gehen mehr an die Kellner. Wir wurden so oft von den Kellnern gefragt ob es schmeckt, so das wir uns belästigt fühlten. Dann Empfand ich das Timing einfach nur schlecht. Ein Restaurant in dieser Größe, sollte in der Lage sein. 5 Essen halbwegs gleichzeitig zu bringen. Mein Essen kam erst mit 10 Minütiger Verspätung und das gleiche hatten wir auch beim Dessert. Zudem war die Musik viel zu laut und als wir den Kellner baten die Musik etwas leiser zu machen, wurde sie komplett ausgemacht. Ganz ehrlich, wenn man als Kellner in so ein Situation so reagiert, sollt er sich überlegen ob er richtig in diesem Beruf ist.

Sehr gutes Essen, nettes Personal - bloß sehr eng und laut

Nette Bedienung, leckeres Essen, kommt schnell, kurze Wartezeit. Auch haben wir uns schon liefern lassen, was richtig schnell war, gut verpackt. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Nettes Lokal mit Aussenbereiche. Leider an einer stark befahrene Straße. Schnelle Bedienung.

сервис быстрый, реагируют активно. еда адаптированна т.е. специи не выражены. это заведение подойдет тем кому нужно гдето сесть и за коктейлем поговорить. вобщем индия не зазвучала.

Tolles Restaurant, gutes Essen freundliche Bedienung und gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältniss.

Wir sind bei diesen Restaurant jeden zweiten Montag mit einer Gruppe in dem tollen Restaurant zum Abendessen. Es macht Spaß und Freude dort als Gruppe oder auch alleine.

Schade schade... eigentlich ein gutes Restaurant. Aber Lieferando ist zum Mass der Dinge geworden und die Gäste im Restaurant werden erst danach bedient. In Hochzeiten von Lieferando-Bestellungen wartet man im Restaurant über 45 min. aufs Essen.

Haben bestellt, der Reis war ok gleich mit dem Salat, aber das Brot war viel zu fettig und das Hähnchen wie Gummi, meine zweite indische Bestellung innerhalb Lichterfelde und bereits das zweite mal Gummi Huhn, wollte eigentlich mal Vorort hingehen kann ich jetzt wohl streichen...
