Maharaja in Berlin

Yesterday I visited with friend 2nd times the food was ok but they charged us more than actual price and when we ask for the bill the waiter said our system is not functioning properly something is wrong. He charged us around 81€ but he give us the bill 71 €.Even we said add 10€ for the tips. First time we ignored this but second times they also charged more than actual charged. It’s worst experience. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Worst worst experience

Unfortunately, the Maharaja has slacked off a lot. From what was once the best Indian in town to an average restaurant. Good value for money.

Have been here for lunch several times. They have a “Day Menu”, served until 5pm, which is excellent and great value. You get a delicious soup as your starter and your main can come with rice or super freshly cooked paratha. We usually have one of our mains with each and share :-) It’s great to sit at the tables outside on Goltzstrasse and people watch :-) Extensive choice of veggie food and the service is always lovely.

We had lunch here today and had a great time! Food was very tasty, service was very good. What struck us most was how attentive the employees were as the marquise continued to move out. Gladly again!

Great food for many years, never regretted it

We had the Indian dish, with soup, bread, several dips, main course and dessert for around €25 per person. Everything was very delicious!!! We'd love to come back

The food tasted very tasty. The staff and owners are very nice and attentive. The restaurant has a very nice and welcoming atmosphere. The flair of the beautiful Goltzstr can be enjoyed here. It wasn't my first visit today and definitely won't be my last. Highly recommended!

It's not good! I don't advise you. An Indiana tea looks like colored water and I created an Espresso Macchiato with just milk with a drop of coffee. 😐

tasty! Big portions! The business lunch on weekdays is very cost-effective. A set meal comes with soup and salad. The main dish can be rice or Indian bread (highly recommended), and the price is about 10 euros. Drinks are not expensive and there are several flavors of lassi to choose from. The food is served quickly and the restaurant is spacious. Frequently visited restaurants in the community👍🏻

Finally an Indian from the good old days. The food tastes great, there is always a small salad, the portions are quite filling and in the end the bill is right. The service is particularly attentive and customer-friendly. The menu offers a wide selection of main courses, with either rice or bread as a side dish. This is no longer a given these days.

I'm not indian, but I can definitely say that the food stuff rved here is not indian at all. Naan was terrible, other dishes have nothing in common with Indian recipes. Waiters were very rude. Atmosphere inside is nothing but uncomfortable.

Very outdated, shabby establishment. A lamb dish was eaten, everywhere else a dark meat (since it comes from lamb). Here the cut cubes were noticeably small... shouldn't they be cut up again before they end up in your mouth? I did it anyway - light beige, almost white flesh emerged. Chicken? Afterwards it didn't taste good. What then? My companion and I were at a loss. I called the waitress, expressed my concerns, and asked what I had been served. She replied "lamb". I had the chef inspect the dish in the kitchen. Up to this point I would have let the matter pass as a case of mix-up. Roasted/braised LAMB MEAT is never light-colored, grayish-whitish; It is not without reason that it is one of the “red” types of meat. The same dish (the one I ordered) came back from the kitchen with the comment that this was lamb. From that point on I had to assume that there was a deliberate attempt at deception. Suddenly, my appetite and desire to continue being the victim of a malicious deception without complaint disappeared. My companion, a clever cook herself, couldn't stop shaking her head. This restaurant sells unidentifiable meat as lamb, a business practice that I can only describe as deeply suspicious and dubious. My first and last visit there. Two tables away, ragged figures that were somehow part of the juice shop watched me with puffy eyes and didn't brighten my suddenly dark mood one bit (torn like the ragged, rancid upholstered furniture and the dent-producing, greasy carpet). The best days of this Ranzhütte have clearly been over for decades; At least they should be!

Meine Hühnersuppe war mild gewürzt und sehr lecker, der Behälter allerdings nicht voll gefüllt. Die "Ente Chili" war das einzige Gericht, das auf der Speisekarte des Restaurants als sehr scharf deklariert wurde und mich aus dem Grund gereizt hat. Die Erwartungen wurden voll erfüllt, neben dem Schärfegrad stimmt auch der Geschmack und die Portion hat satt gemacht. Die Lieferzeit lag an einem Samstagnachmittag bei ca. einer Stunde, die Preise bewegen sich auf dem ortsüblichen Niveau.

Wir waren gestern spontan dort. Wurden direkt freundlich empfangen und den ganzen Abend auch sehr aufmerksam behandelt. Essen kam zügig und war sehr lecker. Wir sind satt und glücklich wieder abgedampft und kommen gerne wieder!

Sehr leckeres Essen. Portionsgrößen sind auch ganz gut. Bei einem Gericht sollte Brot mit dabei sein, wurde dann aber vergessen. Preise sind aber recht gut.

The first time I came here they gave me the best yogi tea I've had in the area. Second time it was not as good but still enjoyable. As per the food, everything is delicious: the soups, the vegetarian dishes, the chicken... The mutton flavor comes a bit strong which I love, some people may want to go for something milder. I tried options on levels 1 and 2 of "scharf". They are tasty and for sure spicy for the normal local taste. Pretty sure even at level 3 it will still need some extra spicy sauce, which most likely they will have around and gladly provide because the service is extremely nice and deserve high praise. Great place for a nice bite!

lunch is cheap there but that's the only good thing about it, cheap does not have to be bad . here, the quality of the food is really not good, The chicken breast that my friend ate, or actually after trying it, did not eat, was very fibrous and inedible. I got later on an upset stomach, and since it was the only thing I ate, I know that it is from there. it is not the first time that we go there, we were there in the past and still, we gave it another chance after a long time that we haven't been there, unfortunately, nothing has changed. the service is fast but unkind, the whole place is loveless. cheap can be good, this is not the case in this restaurant and we will definitely not go there back again.

Nettes Personal und das Essen schmeckt sehr gut. Auch die Portionen sind mehr als genug groß. Ich esse dort immer Fisch Sabzi. Sehr lecker.

Freundliches Personal, sehr umfangreiche Speisekarte, gute Beratung durch die Bedienung , alle Speisen waren heiß am Tisch. Jedes Gericht hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Vorweg gab es eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit mit drei verschiedenen Soßen , Vorsicht bei der dunkelgrünen ( sehr Scharf ). Zum Abschluss gab es noch ein kleines Getränk aufs Haus. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und werden wiederkommen

Das wichtigste, absolut leckere Speisen mit großer Vielfalt in schlichter, angenehmer Atmosphäre und überaus sympathischer Bedienung!

Wir gehen hier schon sehr lange immer wieder gerne essen . Es ist ein sehr Kinder und Familien freundliches Restaurant . Können wir nur weiterempfehlen. Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es leider in der Golzszrasse nur sehr selten . Wir kommen immer ohne Auto 🚗.

I usually went to this restaurant at least once a month for lunch. I will pick the Day Menu 'Tages Menu' which consist of a soup of the day - my fav is the pumpkin soup and chicken/lamb/fish/vegetable dish with salad and rice or Batura (the bread in the picture). The level of spiciness is mild. The portion is great and the price is reasonable. The service is always great and their staff always great you with a smile.

War etwa 5-6x da, beim letzten mal eine Lebensmittelvergiftung oder ähnlich bekommen Ist jetzt etwa 1 Jahr später und ich hab immernoch darm probleme..

Horrible food, has nothing to do with Indian. Food is cheap, rice feels like dry rocks, chapati is flat as paper and tastes like it. Can not recommend to anyone and anything. Korma, masala, panneer butter all horrible.

EVERY time I visit Berlin I make it a priority to visit this place at least once! They have the best Indian food ever! I usually get the chicken tikka masala or chicken tandori when eating here. Complimented by the naan bread, it doesn't get any better than that! I recommend this place!

Das Restaurant ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber man möchte ja gut essen und nicht die Einrichtung bewerten. Die Küche ist immer gleichbleibend gut. Die Gerichte sind gut und günstig. Preis- und Leistungsverhältnis und Menge der Gerichte sind sehr Großzügig. Ich komme schon seit Jahren gern in dieses Restaurant. Die Einrichtung ist das einzige Manko, man sollte darüber hinwegsehen denn die Mahlzeiten sind ausschlaggebend!
