Disaster across the board – never again!
We actually wanted to enjoy a nice evening with friends, but this “restaurant” completely ruined our evening. From start to finish it was an absolute disgrace!
• Waiting time unbearable: We had to wait almost 2.5 hours (!) for the starters - I've never experienced anything like that.
• Main course not available: After more than 3 hours in the restaurant, we were informed that there were no more gyros - so our main course was simply canceled.
• Unfriendly service: When we asked if they were serious, we were brushed off in a rude and rude manner. No apology, nothing.
How such a store can even exist is a mystery to me. If you come here, you should be prepared for an endless waiting time, unfriendly staff and non-existent food.
Never again – a disgrace of a “restaurant”!
Food: 0/5 | Service: 0/5 | Ambiance: 1/5
Wasn't particularly enthusiastic about it. I know it differently. I had never had Tamaras without a side of bread in my life. Too bad. There was no tzatziki for the main course.
Unfortunately, Nestor and Heike are taking a break from their restaurant. It was always very cozy and the contact with the regular guests was very familiar. It's a shame.
It's brighter, open and nice.
The service is fast and good.
There is good, cheap food.
Is absolutely suitable for a nice evening with friends. That sounds like a bought ad but I'm just very satisfied.
Restaurant Olive in Brüdergasse – A little piece of Greece in the heart of the city!
We had a wonderful evening in the Olive restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, authentic and prepared with a lot of love. The family atmosphere and the incredibly friendly, courteous service almost make you forget that you are not really in Greece. The spirit of Greek hospitality can clearly be felt here.
We were particularly impressed by the high quality of the food, which is really worth every visit. A little tip: you should definitely make a reservation on the weekend as there isn't a lot of space. But the effort is definitely worth it!
We'll definitely be back.
So all I can say is that the restaurant is really worth a visit. Very tasty food at a good price, the nice thing is that the portions are kept rather small, so you can try several things and, as already mentioned, the price-performance ratio is right. I really recommend reserving a table as it is very busy. We were there at the end of the month in the middle of the week and it was packed.
The service was also very friendly and accommodating. We'd love to come back.
Lippstadts gut eingesessener Grieche...
Das Essen ist stets schmackhaft, und das Personal freundlich.
Leider ist einiges nicht mehr hausgemacht (z.B. Tarama), dass ist natürlich sehr schade.
Dennoch ist das Haus empfehlenswert.
I had dinner there with my girlfriend on Tuesday. We both ordered the gyro plate. The meat tasted original Greek, unlike kebab meat. Together with the bean salad I ordered with it - and I notice when a salad isn't freshly made - it was as Greek as you know it. I can't understand a "Kevin" from further down here. The boss himself was very attentive and flexible. I wanted some tzatziki as a second helping. He looked over at the table and came straight. He took a small ladle and even brought it to me at the table, without charge. We were surprised because we don't know anything like that. We've decided not to go to McDonald's anymore if we're feeling peckish every now and then. You can easily stop in the weather shaft, especially since the fries are much better there.
Very authentic, very, very good Greek cuisine. Beautifully decorated plates. We haven't eaten Greek like this in a long time. I love that you can get multiple dishes as a meze. The small mezes were quite large. Very friendly and nice staff.
Thanks!
We were pleasantly surprised - but there is still room for optimization.
The food tastes good - the gyro meat is well fried, not too fatty or full of crunch.
The minced meat rolls are also perfectly fried and well seasoned.
The Metaxa sauce is also highly recommended.
It's also nice that you can make up for yourself at a salad bar as often as you like.
There are deductions for the rice - it is tasteless - There is also some catching up to do with the tzatziki, it could be more seasoned and tastes a bit watery.
The drinks menu is sufficiently large.
The service is nice - but it takes too long when it's a little busy.
The restaurant is comfortably furnished - there were even fresh tulips on every table - the only thing missing is some music in the background.
There is a bowling alley in the basement.
The price is normal for today's standards - for two people, each with a meal and a drink, we paid €45 (including tip).
Overall, definitely a recommendation.
