Ein sehr authentisches griechisches Restaurant mit freundlichem Personal und sehr leckerem Essen. Wir hatten zu viert eine Kreta Platte und hatten nicht alles aufessen können. Sehr gerne wieder.

Sehr schönes Restaurant in einer sehr gemütlichen Atmosphäre. Das Servicepersonal ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das Essen ist super, gut Gewürzt und eine ordentlichen Portion. Wer da nicht Satt wird hat echt nen Fass ohne Boden 🙂 Was alles abrundet ist der faire Preis ! Vielen lieben dank, wir kommen gerne wieder

Hier kann man gut essen. Preise sind auch ok

Wir waren nur neulich -14.01.26- kurz dort auf dem Weg zurück Richtung Münster. 2x Souvlaki bestellt. Essen kam schnell. Leckerer Salat, leckere Pommes und etwas Tomatenreis. Das Fleisch war wirklich super. I-Tüpfelchen beim Essen wäre ein Klecks Tzaziki gewesen. Bedienung durch den Inhaber (hatte wohl Hochzeitstag) und Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich, aber so ein Ticken fehlt da noch, etwa mal zwischendurch die höfliche Nachfrage, ob alles o.k. ist und am Ende, ob es geschmeckt hat. Das kam weder vom Chef, der auch zwischendurch vorbeiging, noch vom Mitarbeiter. Den obligatorischen Uso könnte man auch etwas charmanter servieren. Insgesamt also wirklich leckeres Essen, Preis-/Leistung ist gut. Der Service könnte den fünften Stern locker rausholen. So aktuell dann erstmal 4 Sterne.

Seit ca. 25 Jahren alle paar Monate treffen wir uns im Marathon mit Freunden und Kollegen. Wir wurden noch nie enttäuscht! Eines der besten Restaurants in Lippstadt und Umgebung.

Ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt. Wir waren heute mit unseren Kindern zu Gast und sind schlichtweg begeistert: Das stimmungsvolle Ambiente und der erstklassige, aufmerksame Service haben den Abend zu einem besonderen Erlebnis gemacht. Wir haben uns von der ersten Minute an willkommen und bestens aufgehoben gefühlt.

Ganz toll ... lecker und freundlich ! Im Dezember 2025 gibt es auf der Karte einige Neuheiten: Top Fleisch ( Lamm, Hühnchen, Schweinefilet, Rumpsteak, ...) mit selbstgemachten Kartoffelbrei und Pflaumen-Chutney ! Zudem gibt es weiterhin Rind- oder Schweineroulade... top Anm. 11.2025 Jannis Bekas ist "Held der Rinderroulade" - neues Spezial auf der Karte - Rind oder Schwein beides top gelungen. Glückwunsch!

Ich würde lieber 0 Sterne geben. Das Essen ist grauenhaft ich hatte 3 Tage Bauchschmerzen danach! Im essen war ein Haar. Was soll ich noch dazu sagen ? NIE WIEDER

Tolles Traditionslokal in Lippstadt/Cappel.

Das beste wenn es um Griechisches Essen geht! wir kommen wieder.

Waren dort mit vier Personen und Hund. Hatten einen Platz im großen Wintergarten bekommen. Große Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken. Wurden nett bedient und auf das Essen mussten wir nicht lange warten. Preis Leistung war sehr gut. Portionen waren gross. Leider war Tarama nicht zu bekommen. Aber alles in allem war es ein gemütlicher Abend mit gutem Essen. Wir gehen auf jeden Fall nochmal hin👍

Nettes Personal und leckeres essen

Was soll ich sagen 💁‍♂️. War heute nicht der Tag vom Marathon Team ! Aber jeder haut mal daneben . Kommen trotzdem wieder weil es beim nächsten Mal wieder TOP sein wird. Wer Jahrzehnte einen guten Job macht verdient es nicht eine schlechte Bewertung zu kassieren 😉.

Sehr empfehlenswert! Schneller, zuvorkommender, freundlicher Service, leckeres, griechisches Essen und ein schönes Ambiente. Bestes Tzaziki in der Region! Immer wieder gerne!

Das Essen ist sehr köstlich und wie man es von griechischen Restaurants kennt, auch sehr reichhaltig. Vor allem der Biergarten ist wunderschön eingerichtet und die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Für ein Geburtstagsessen genau richtig ;-)

Das Essen war super lecker und frisch. Wir mussten kaum warten – alles kam schnell an den Tisch. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant war schön und gemütlich. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

Gerne Wieder! Service, Ambiente & das Essen waren super! Es wird viel Wert auf Sauberkeit gelegt und liegt preislich im üblichen Rahmen. Das Local hat zudem eine barrierefreie Kegelbahn und ist von daher wirklich für jeden zugänglich. Ich selber arbeite mit Menschen mit geistig/kognitiven Einschränkungen & habe im Marathon einen Tag mit ihnen verbracht. Das Personal und der Inhaber waren sehr freundlich und rücksichtsvoll denen gegenüber Bis bald!

Great Greek restaurant. Special because they make their own tzatziki and bread. I always switch up the main courses, and so far everything has been delicious. We also like to come here with friends, who are always impressed. The side salad is always served beforehand. In the picture, we're serving the Elena plate and, again, tzatziki with bread.

Since our first wedding anniversary (34 years ago :) we have been going to the marathon regularly. The service and friendliness have never changed. Even during the Corona period, we didn't miss out on our food from there, we ordered by phone and enjoyed the food at home. The new renovation has changed the marathon for the better. The taste of the dishes has not changed over the years, which is not a given. We always look forward to the day when we plan to eat out in the marathon. I hope the restaurant stays with us for a long time.

We always enjoy being here. Always friendly and the Greek food is the best in the 150 km region.

Full marks! Very nice service in a chic restaurant. You can't even recognize such a beautiful ambience from the outside. The food was excellent, great taste, very good meat and the portions were appropriate. We'd love to come back.

Delicious food and friendly staff

An absolute tip for all lovers of Greek cuisine! The food was authentic and prepared with a lot of love - the grilled dishes and the homemade tzatziki are particularly recommended. The portions are generous and the price-performance ratio is great. The staff was warm, attentive and took a lot of time for us. The ambience was also very atmospheric - you almost felt like you were on vacation. We'll definitely be back!

Lippstadts gut eingesessener Grieche... Das Essen ist stets schmackhaft, und das Personal freundlich. Leider ist einiges nicht mehr hausgemacht (z.B. Tarama), dass ist natürlich sehr schade. Dennoch ist das Haus empfehlenswert.

You really won't be disappointed in the marathon 🙂 The restaurant was so full and yet both the drinks and the food were at the table quickly. The service was very friendly and attentive, the food was delicious as always. Simply recommended 🤗

The food was super great. There's nothing to complain about there. The employees are friendly. But it was a bit too hectic for us like in a snack bar. Some people might be happy if everything goes quickly, but that was very quick. The salad was brought straight after we ordered. I only had the second forkful of salad in my mouth when the fries arrived. Another two minutes later the “Gyros gratinated” was there. (So ​​fries and meat didn't come at the same time.) All in all, it gave the impression that the table would soon be freed up for the next guests. There were a few other tables available. There were three of us there. We all enjoyed it very much. There's nothing to complain about. Well, as already mentioned, others may be happy if it happens so quickly.

We were there with a group at Christmas time. The food tasted good, the quality and presentation was fine. The prices are slightly above average, both for food and drinks. Several people found the stressful, unfriendly and sometimes rough manner of table service (not a single person, rather the majority of the waitresses) to be really annoying. In connection with the ambience, there was no feel-good factor and the conclusion was that this restaurant is not worth visiting.

We were welcomed like friends, wonderful restaurant on the outskirts of Lippstadt. About 5 minutes from the outskirts of town by car. We became aware of the high praise on the Internet for the homemade "Tsatziki". It was like that. The fact that you use original Greek yogurt contributes a lot to the success. CLASS!!! Great Greek restaurant...the food was very tasty and the service was very nice! Clearly recommended.

A huge selection, great. There is something for every taste. My wife and I were thrilled and ate everything. Instead of an ouzo, the boss gave both of them an espresso, great. We'd love to come back. Thank you!!!

Was there for the first time. The ambience is excellent, absolutely recommended. Food came quickly and was good. Only the 3 salads that came with the meal didn't come. When I paid and remembered that these were missing, the boss gave me 4 euros and said it was enough. And all this with a generous dinner for 4 people. Maybe I'll give it to the restaurant once again the opportunity to convince myself completely. The ambience is great 👍

Called spontaneously, got a table straight away. Very nice staff and very clean. From the selection in the menu to the ordering and delivery to the table, perfect. Salad very fresh and what we chose. Absolutely great 👍. Keep it up...we'll definitely come back there.

The meat was very fatty. Fries have never been good. The rice has been cut by half. The taste was also very diminished.

As with our previous visits, my wife and I really liked everything - from the friendliness and speed of the service to the excellent food. Conclusion: Highly recommended.

I visit this Greek restaurant again and again and every time it exceeds all my expectations. As soon as you enter, you are greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, which is underlined by the friendly staff. Ambience: The restaurant's interior is both cozy and authentic and immediately transports you to the picturesque landscapes of Greece. The decoration is designed with great attention to detail and gives the room an inviting, Mediterranean atmosphere. Eat: The menu impresses with a diverse selection of traditional Greek dishes, all prepared with fresh ingredients. Particularly noteworthy are the tender souvlaki and the delicate seafood - both dishes were excellently seasoned and perfectly prepared. The portions are generous and the price-performance ratio is very fair. Service: The service was outstanding. The service was attentive, friendly and extremely competent. They were able to provide comprehensive advice about the various dishes and wines and ensured that we didn't lack anything. Conclusion: This restaurant not only offers excellent Greek cuisine, but also an all-round successful dining experience. I can fully recommend this restaurant and am already looking forward to my next visit.

No flexibility in the menu possible with the side dishes. Simply swapping rice for tzatziki on the gyro plate is not possible (without explanation)! Instead, you have to pay extra for tzatziki for just €6. Overall, proud prices for snack quality.

The ambience was ok, but I had the impression that the staff was poorly organized. You had to talk to several people until the last drink was there. The salad was bland and without dressing, the sauce and mayo came when the fries were almost cold and it took a long time for the food to arrive. So I wouldn't go there again.

Well stocked, friendly service. Greek cuisine is only partly there. Pretty much adapted to average German taste. The homemade tzatziki is a hit. Great in taste. Actually enough for one meal.

Yesterday we were guests in this restaurant. We've been here a few times. That's over now. We tried to make a reservation by phone in advance. It was said that we didn't need a reservation for this time, around 6 p.m. When we arrived shortly after 6 p.m., we got a table straight away. (there were two of us). We ordered, received the food and the empty plates were just gone when the first question came as to how we wanted to pay, cash or card. We explained that we would pay by card. My drink was still half full here. After a short while we were clearly told that we should now please clear the table as there were still guests waiting. I think that a visit to the restaurant is not too long at just 75 minutes. We won't see each other here anymore Greetings Frank Stuermer

Were served quickly. The food was very tasty, but too rich for seniors. No senior plates are offered. Price/performance was OK. Unfortunately, we discovered that an additional drink, which we had not ordered and received, had been added to the bill. Annoying !!! We will check the receipt on site next time.

Wir waren mit 5 Leuten Vor-Ort und man muss sagen, dass das Essen sehr schnell zubereitet wurde, es keine langen Wartezeiten gab. Zu jedem Gericht gab es einen Salat und als Vorspeise hatten wir Zaziki bestellt. Es hatte genau die richtige Würze und war sehr lecker. Auch die anderen Gerichte waren sehr lecker, von Leber über Gyros war alles dabei und bei keinem Gericht gab es etwas auszusetzen. Ein fertiges Stück ist immer mal beim Gyros dabei, aber das passiert. Alles in allem war es ein schöner Abend und es wird bestimmt nicht der letzte Besuch gewesen sein.

Legendärer Grieche, der sehr lecker ist!

Dieses Restaurant ist mein Lieblingsgrieche. Vor allen Dingen mag ich das Gyros. Zwar ist es preislich teurer als in der Imbissbude, man bekommt bei Marathon aber auch eine gehobenere Qualität vom Fleisch. Das Gyrosfleisch ist weder sehnig noch gibt es irgendwelche fettige Stellen. In das reine Fleisch ist eine super intensiv schmeckende Marinade eingezogen. Wenn ich gutes Gyros essen möchte, gehe ich nur hierhin. Das Personal ist super freundlich und es ist egal wie man aussieht, bekommt man hier immer einen Tisch angeboten. Ich war mit meinem Mann einmal nach einem 55km Mammutmarsch dort und wir sahen zerstört aus. Sowohl das Essen als auch Getränke werden nach geringer Wartezeit serviert.

Top Grieche! Hier bekommt man alles! Große Platten für maßloses essen wie am Buffett, aber auch frischen Fisch gut zubereitet! Wirklich sehr gutes Essen, besser als vom Grill! Sehr viel Platz im Restaurant, guter aussenbereich! Die Bedienungen sind alles top Leute!
