Wir wurden empfangen, wie alte Freunde und ebenso bewirtet! So warmherzig und aufgeschlossen, dass wir uns von der ersten Sekunde an richtig wohl gefühlt haben. Sehr, sehr leckeres Essen! Das Fleisch ist äußerst schmackhaft und auf den Punkt gegart! Hervorragend. - Statt der Kartoffel konnte ich Reis wählen oder Pommes; ich hab mich für den Reis entschieden: so leckeren Reis hatte ich noch nie! Ich bin rundum satt und zufrieden nach diesem kulinarischen Highlight. Bloß blöd, dass ich in Lüneburg wohne...

Das war mein erster Besuch bei Achilles. Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker. Große Portionen und bei jedem Gericht ist ein kleiner Salat dabei. Der Salat war sehr einfach und etwas lieblos angerichtet, aber ganz lecker. Die Vorspeise (Brot mit Tzatziki, Knoblauchcreme und Oliven) war auch sehr lecker. Alles in allem ist das Essen sehr reichhaltig und lecker. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und kam mehrmals an den Tisch um zu fragen, ob alles ok wäre oder wie noch einen Wunsch hätten. Der Chef kam auch zum Tisch und hat sich erkundigt, ob alles in Ordnung sei. Lediglich das Ambiente ist doch etwas in die Jahre gekommen und es bedürfte mal einer Renovierung.

Leider kann man keine null Sterne geben...das Essen war kalt und das Buffet schneller leer als sich alle was holen konnten. Es war noch nicht mal genug Brot da, das sich jeder wenigstens davon eine Scheibe nehmen konnte und das man den Eisbergsalat nicht als ganzen Kopf auf den Tisch gelegt bekommen hat, zum selber schneiden, war aber auch alles. Vom Personal kamen Sprüche wie:" Es war reichlich für die Personenanzahl da, wenn sich alle so viel nehmen, können wir auch nichts dafür." Aber es kam auch niemand zwischendurch gucken, ob noch was da war. Der Boden hat überall geklebt, ob am Buffet oder am Tisch, sodass man noch nicht mal den Stuhl schieben konnte. Wirklich ekelig! Wenigstens waren die Toiletten sauber. Von der Plastik Tischdeko funktionierte noch nicht mal das Licht...

Das Personal war völlig überfordert. Leider kam auch niemand zwischendurch mal fragen, ob wir noch etwas trinken möchten oder hat mal gefragt, ob es schmeckt und alles okay ist. Das Essen kam leider nicht zeitgleich, wir waren 7 Personen und die ersten 3 waren schon fast fertig mit ihrem Essen, als die anderen 4 Gerichte kamen. Die Pommes waren nur lauwarm und haben nach alten Fett geschmeckt. Das Fleisch war leider bei 2 von uns teilweise noch roh. Als wir dies beim Bezahlen sagten, wurde uns als "Entschuldigung " ein Lutscher gereicht 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ keine Entschuldigung, keiner kam an den Tisch etc. Ist für uns ein No Go! Das Essen war insgesamt sehr sehr lieblos angerichtet und wurde einfach nur auf den Teller geknallt. Für uns war es definitiv der erste und letzte Besuch!

Wenn man 6 Sterne vergeben könnte, würden sie es tun! Tolles Essen! Jede Menge! Lächeln und gute Atmosphäre!

Um... nope. This is no good. The meat is totally soggy, this isn't a good gyro. The tzatziki isn't, so it's supposed to be tzatziki. The fries have been in the fryer at least twice. And even the ouzo you get at the end doesn't help. Never again. I'm here for rehab and tried the place out despite the reviews. But it was a complete disaster.

The food is very good. The meat, including a variety of varieties, is all of high quality and juicy. The only drawback, if you can call it that, is the salad. We were a bit disappointed and were used to something different. But given the quality of the main course, that's something you can overlook.

I give it 5/5! For the price, the performance is really great! The food tastes good and arrives in record time; despite my special requests... The service is top and even the boss/cook comes out and asks how the food is. The portion is large, on the second visit the senior plate was enough for me, despite the fact that I am not a senior.

I'm in town for rehab and was there with my good friend, a very nice couple who run their restaurant. You can taste it in the food, you can tell it in the passion and the friendliness.

Highly recommended. Get a table at short notice, service friendly and competent. We each had a gyro dish that we were very happy with. Price-performance absolutely ok. We'd love to come back.

The staff and the service are very friendly and in a good mood. And he tries very hard to please you, which worked very well. Nevertheless, there are a few points that bothered me. This can also have personal reasons. On the one hand, this is the very watery sauce that applies to the salad dressing as well as to the gyros gratinated or the pan dishes. The quality of the gyros wasn't top either for my taste. Very dry and tough to chew. We would probably eat something there again if there was nothing else left. Another positive thing to mention is that you get an ouzo on the house.

Unfortunately the food isn't that good and we had to wait a long time. The service is nice, but a bit overwhelmed. The ambience is quite nice, but you could do more with it.

A bit cold in a cool atmosphere and unfortunately the food was also a bit cold. There was no ouzo to warm you up and the service was also quite cold. There was live Greek music and the food was good. So overall, so-so.

I was just about to go out for dinner, but at these prices I immediately turned back. So I drink another beer in the hotel and eat my Haribo bag!!

This was our first time at Achilles. It was very, very tasty. By the time our vacation came to an end, we had been to Achilles 4 times. A great chef. A great meal. Friendly and we felt very comfortable and will definitely come next year. We wish you all the best. Basler family.

Very friendly service, hospitable as Greeks always are. The food was also very tasty. Small drawback: the beer garden could be made a little friendlier.

Yeah, it's hard to say... the kitchen is probably completely overwhelmed. The meal took over an hour. The salad beforehand was a carelessly thrown-in disaster. Simply pure iceberg lettuce, a slice of cucumber, a slice of tomato and an indefinable dressing. The saganaki was good. Main course... one too salty, the gyros dry, burnt and dry. The meat skewer was very good. We wouldn't come back...it's a shame...

I was at Restaurant Achilles for the first time on July 26, 2024. The service is really good and the staff is very nice and open-minded. The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant, but I liked it even better in the garden in the summer weather. As for the food and drinks, for me it was satisfying and tasty (gyro plate with fries, salad and tzatziki). I would be happy to go here again 😋👍...

It's actually a nice atmosphere, but unfortunately far too little is made of it. The salad as a starter is an absolute disaster. Completely unloving a few green leaves with sauce doesn't really make you want to eat the main course. The main course itself tasted okay, but there was no side dish or decoration. The service was friendly, but unfortunately completely overwhelmed. I definitely expect a lot more for the money. So we won't come back again. A pity!

A very friendly welcome from the boss, drinks and food were taken quickly and the drinks came quickly. The salad is prepared a bit “boringly” but tastes good. For the main course I had the lamb grill plate. What can I say: I was thrilled. Good quality and very well fried. The beans and pasta tasted fantastic. I would recommend the restaurant to anyone who comes here. The service is on point and friendly. Price performance is right in my opinion.

We ordered an appetizer that came quite quickly. The problem was that the main course came while we were still eating the starter! Way too early! The food was simply placed on the table, which was quite full because the side salad was already there... Unfortunately the main course had already cooled down quite a bit. It's a shame, because the lamb we ordered was very good. The service simply has to pay attention to something like this: the main course is not brought together with the starter!

Average Greek. Not recommended. The food was ok but many other Greeks had it much better (tzatziki was far too bland and tasted more like a herb curd) it was a shame that there was no rice as a side dish, only fries. Another drawback: no free ouzo. A pity! Given the prices, you can definitely expect more!

Service is very nice, the ambience is ok. The food was rather mediocre. The salad was still very watery and tasted accordingly. The gyros looked better than it tasted. My carefully worded criticism was not well received.

Not particularly friendly, habitual to eat in need of food

We travel a lot and like to eat up and down the country, which means we know what we're talking about. Achilles is always our favorite restaurant. The food is prepared with passion and love and the price/performance ratio is totally fine. We can recommend Achilles without reservation.

I don't know how anyone can get the impression that the food isn't fresh... We go to Achilles regularly and are always very satisfied. Precisely because everything is fresh!!!! Achilles is a passionate cook. Sometimes it's full in the summer, so it takes a little longer (a shortage of staff in the catering industry), but I go to the restaurant and not to the snack bar. We are very happy to be with you!!!

Not a normal Greek for me More like a french fries shop Everything just slapped on top. Especially the salad. A sad sight

Leider nur 2 Sterne wert.. Wenn ich zu einem griechischen Restaurant gehe erwarte ich gutes Fleisch, selbstgemachte Salate und guten Zaziki. Leider war nichts davon der Fall und dazu noch Plastikblumen- Ambiente. Die Mitarbeiterinnen waren super!! Bitte steckt Liebe in euer Essen und zeigt Tradition anstatt Fertigkram.

Ein nettes griechisches Restaurant. Wir waren 2mal mit 4 Personen in einer Woche hier essen und allen hat es gut geschmeckt. Freundlicher Service

Leider mussten wir sehr lange warten, bis unsere Getränkebestellung aufgenommen wurde, dann nochmal lange warten bis die Essensbestellung aufgenommen wurde... dementsprechend lange hat es dann auch gedauert, bis wir die Getränke und das Essen auf dem Tisch hatte... man hatte ein bisschen das Gefühl, dass an unserem Nachbartisch die Lieblingsgäste saßen... da kam alles zügig und es wurde lange und oft erzählt... das war für die Stimmung nicht so gut... das Essen an sich war lecker, aber leider auch nichts besonderes, da sind wir andere griechische Restaurants gewöhnt...schade.

Sehr leckeres Essen, freundlichen Personal,humane Preise

Der gestrige Abend hat mich leider komplett enttäuscht. Der Vorspeisensalat besteht aus Eisbergsalat, Kraut, Tomaten und Gurken. Aufgefüllt mit einem Fertig Dressing Sylter Art. Der Boden des Tellers voll mit Wasser (vom Kraut?). Leider sehr lieblos und nicht appetitlich. Mein Gyros war leider sehr sehnig und voll mit Fettstücken. Deswegen habe ich leider nur die Pommes essen können. Diese waren aber auch nicht selbst hergestellt. Auf die Mayo (aus der Tüte) mussten wir auch warten, da die Kellnerin uns vergessen hat. Die Kellner tragen Jogginghosen und Sportkleidung was absolut unpassend für ein Restaurant ist. Wir hatten insgesamt fünf verschiedene Teller auf unserem Tisch, die auch uralt wie aus Omas Schrank aussahen. Ich lasse ungern negative Kritik da, aber da passte echt nichts. Die Kellnerin/Inhaberin hat die Kritik mit dem Fleisch nicht verstanden. Es sei so fettig und die Gäste mögen es. Na denn…Wir kommen nicht nochmal.

Das Essen war wirklich gut, hier gibt es nichts zu meckern. Wer eine Leistungsschau der Küche haben will, bestellt sich die Eliniko-Piato. Da ist von Reis im Weinblatt, Zaziki, Knoblauchcreme über Hacksteak und Gyros bis zum kleinen Lammkotelett und Putensteak alles drauf. Man sollte aber ordentlich Hunger mitbringen. Ich hatte die Platte mit Pommes genommen, die schön kross waren, wie es auf der Karte steht mit Backkartoffel passt aber glaube ich besser zu Zaziki und Creme. Auch an dem Bifteki von meiner Frau gab es nichts zu meckern. Den Kommentar, der von wässriger Metaxasauce geschrieben hat, kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Die Sauce war sämig und lecker. Zu allen Gerichten gab es einen guten Beilagensalat, der nicht auf der Karte steht. Es gibt reichlich Platz drinnen, auch für größere Gesellschaften, und eine schöne Außenterrasse mit Markise und Schirmen. Die Bedienung war teils etwas überfordert, es hat manchmal ein wenig länger gedauert, bis man bestellen konnte. Völlig ungewöhnlich für einen Griechen ist, dass es am Ende keinen Ouzo auf's Haus gibt. Ich kann die teils sehr schlechten Bewertungen, die mich lange davon abgehalten haben, hier hinzugehen, nicht recht nachvollziehen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Als passionierter Restaurantbesucher hatte ich die Gelegenheit, mit meiner Familie bei Achilles zu speisen. Wir waren vollkommen begeistert von dem ausgezeichneten Essen und der frischen Zubereitung der Gerichte. Unser nächster Restaurantbesuch steht definitiv wieder bei Achilles auf dem Programm, da wir uns in diesem Restaurant einfach wohl und gut aufgehoben fühlen. Aus meiner Sicht ist Achilles der beste Grieche in Lippstadt - unbedingt empfehlenswert!

Am 06.06.2023 haben wir mit mehreren Personen im Restaurant Achilles gegessen und waren positiv überrascht wie gut die unterschiedlichen Gerichte bei jedem von uns geschmeckt haben !!! Deshalb gebe ich auch 5 Sterne meinerseits. Mit einem Stern zu Bewerten finde ich persönlich nicht angebracht. Vielen Dank für die wundervolle Bewirtung !!!

Bedienung überfordert, unaufmerksam. Sehr lange auf das Essen gewartet.Hatte den Grillteller. Bifteki innen noch roh, Gyros teilweise nicht durchgegart. Mini Portion Zwiebeln & Zaziki. Also für 18€ erwartet man deutlich bessere Qualität. Kann jeder Imbiss Grieche besser. Das Ambiente ist ganz schön, das Restaurant sauber und ordentlich. Insgesamt nicht schlecht, unterer Durchschnitt und nur was für geduldige Menschen .

War Anfang Mai dort und möchte das Restaurant gerne weiter empfehlen. Das Essen war von guter Qualität und die Toilette und die Gastronomie waren super gepflegt jederzeit wieder.

Speisen waren gut und schnell. Kein Ouzo gratis … beim normalen Griechen wird die Flasche kostenlos auf den Tisch gestellt … und zum allen trotze war noch ein Haar in der Soße, was aber passieren kann in meinen Augen. Dafür kam aber keine Entschädigung… schade ☹️

Wir waren heute Abend mit der Familie zum Essen bei Achilles. Das Essen war wie immer sehr lecker und reichlich. Die Bedienung reibungslos und nett. Sehr zu empfehlen.
