A very nice Greek restaurant - a family-run business with very good food, very authentic and everything homemade.

Highly recommended. Sensational food, family-run and very welcoming. A bit pricey, but if you want a really good and professional dining experience, this is the place to go.

We went out for a meal with our family and can highly recommend this restaurant. The owner gave us a warm welcome and offered excellent recommendations. Despite its prime location in the city center, the food is authentically Greek, absolutely delicious, reasonably priced, and the portions are generous. We'll definitely be back!

We had a fantastic Greek buffet today. There were 14 of us, and the owner called us a few days beforehand to whet our appetites. At €35, it wasn't exactly cheap, but understandable given the quantity and quality of the food. Smaller portions were served continuously for sharing over a period of about two hours. We had yellow hummus, pointed peppers with cheese, fennel salad, Greek pasta salad, fried zucchini balls, fried eggplant, sea bream, tender pork goulash, bifteki, bread, tzatziki, fries, and much more. We were all completely stuffed. The owner lives for his restaurant and explained that everything is made in his own kitchen, even the bread. No preservatives.

A bit of an unusual restaurant. You get an ouzo on the house afterward, even though it's supposed to be an aperitif. Otherwise, the food wasn't anything special. The coffee afterward was also mediocre. I'll try a different place next time.

Pure joy. I am from Turkey and have been to all over Greece. I have been missing "our food" so much as someone who has been living in Berlin for the past year since all the places I have been to (Turkish and Greek) have been mediocre. They have no authenticity and somehow does not give the same taste. But this place. Oh boy this place nearly made me cry. I had the lamb souvlaki with tzatziki and had the best home made french fries that came with my main dish. I was offered from the house what we call kuru fasulye (dried beans) and a piece of irmik helvası (halva). Everything I ate was on the best level found in Turkey and Greece. The souvlaki was tender and so well-prepared without a hint of meaty smell. This is a masterpiece level which is even rarely achieved in Turkey and Greece. I also tried their house wine and enjoyed it too. I must say, if this place was even in Athens or Istanbul, I would be their regular customer. Such lovely real people with authentic food cooked with love. I don't write reviews normally but this place deserves this exception. Finally some real Greek/Turkish food in Germany. We are brothers and no other cuisine can dare to come close. Efharisto!

We came here for dinner based on TripAdvisor and were pleasantly surprised. The fish was extremely good; we highly recommend this restaurant. Despite the current construction work in front of the building, it's definitely worth a visit.

Unassuming from the outside. It's not immediately recognizable as a restaurant. Very friendly welcome. Friendly team and nice owner. Small dining room where it can get quite noisy at times. Nevertheless, a pleasant atmosphere. Reservations are recommended. Small menu with additional daily specials. The dishes are standard fare, but taste good and are of average quality for the price. The bifteki is unusually spicy, and the pepper is very pronounced, but interesting in flavor. Some of the meat on the mixed grill is dry. The Greek omelet is a real surprise; I've never had anything like it anywhere else. We were served a small beef consommé as a complimentary amuse-bouche and a semolina and nut dessert. I hadn't expected either, but I didn't really need them either. A complimentary espresso or ouzo would have been a better alternative. We weren't asked if we wanted any more drinks, even though empty glasses were left on the table during the meal. Apparently, they don't need to generate that kind of revenue from drinks. The selection and atmosphere are better than a fast-food joint, but it's not an authentic Greek restaurant either. If you're looking for fair prices and friendly service, this is the place for you. It was worth a try, but I'll only be going back once.

A truly down-to-earth and charming Greek restaurant. Despite being completely full, the service, consisting only of the owner and one other young man, was attentive and genuinely friendly. The food (we had lamb skewers three times and bifteki once) was absolutely delicious. We all enjoyed the appetizers as well. It was like being in Greece, just without the sea and sun! We decided on the Olive restaurant today at short notice and were immediately impressed. It offers particularly good, authentic Greek cuisine that's different from the usual fare. The appetizers, such as zucchini fritters and fried eggplant, are delicious, as are the moussaka and bifteki. They serve delicious red wines by the glass and water at reasonable prices. As a welcome from the kitchen, we included a small bean soup and a small dessert with the bill. Thank you very much for that. Unfortunately, we can rarely go there for dinner because we live in Bavaria. But we'd be happy to come back.

Had a delicious meal at Olive tonight! I have to eat gluten-free, and that was no problem: tzatziki as a starter, lamb skewers that were deliciously tender, and even a separate dessert. My husband had shrimp and a chicken skewer: very tasty! Mythos on tap from a cold beer glass, just like in Greece! Poly kalo👌🏻

The meat would have been good quality, if it hadn't been too salty, as would the potatoes. The trash can is clearly visible in front of the counter, where all the leftover food ends up, which isn't exactly appetizing. Nice place, but the food is quite far away from Greece. Seems like Greek food, but quite German-ish. The service was good, a little slow at times. Good soulvlaki and draft Greek beer. Salads should be better to call themselves Greek.

It is without doubt one of the most enjoyable dining spots in the city. The welcoming atmosphere immediately gives you the impression of being somewhere far more relaxed and familiar. Dishes are cooked with great attention, portions are plentiful, and the flavors bring comfort in a simple yet memorable way. The kindness of the hosts makes the whole experience feel more personal, as if you were visiting friends rather than a restaurant. For anyone passing through, returning a second time feels almost natural.

An excellent and authentic Greek restaurant in downtown Bonn. The outdoor seating is lovely, sheltered by the St. Remigius Church, but the interior is also very cozy. The lamb skewers and, of course, the Greek white house wine are particularly recommended. The owner, Ioulianos Karamanis, is always attentive to his guests and knows exactly what it takes to make them feel at home.

The Olive Restaurant offers authentic Greek cuisine at fair prices. We've been there several times now: both the vegetarian and meat dishes are authentically prepared and very tasty. At the Olive, you don't get the "standard" dishes like gyros, but good Greek home cooking. Furthermore, the owner is very warm and accommodating, a truly excellent host. If you want a taste of Greek vacation, the Olive is the place to be.

A restaurant in downtown Bonn. It was busy, so after a five-minute wait, we sat outside. The owner seemed very stressed, but he was always friendly and accommodating. The various servers were also friendly and quick. It's also worth mentioning that, due to the table placements, you quickly get to know other guests, which we found pleasant. The food (starter and main course) was brought out a little late due to the huge demand. Both were delicious, though. Be sure to try the wines. ☝️

We had a wonderful evening at Olive, the Greek restaurant in Bonn. Everything was excellent: the starter with tzatziki and fresh white bread, the souvlaki with baked potato and tzatziki, the egg omelet filled with potatoes, vegetables, and feta, and the bifteki with homemade fries were all delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The service was extremely friendly and attentive; we felt well looked after throughout. The ambiance was cozy and tranquil, ideal for a relaxed meal with friends or family. Highly recommended!

The service was friendly. The food was tasty, but almost cold. We sat outside, and unfortunately, the waiter didn't return until we paid. There was only one other table outside and one inside, so we weren't really overwhelmed. The complaint was regretted, and they offered us coffee or dessert. Due to time constraints, we declined. We would have preferred a warmer meal.

This is the second Greek restaurant we've tried. Top notch! The welcome entree was perfect fried calamari, the accompanying sauce was delicious, bread flavored with oregano oil, and in my opinion, even a hint of cumin—exquisite. But the TOP was the grilled sea bream! Fresh and delicious! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, excellent value for money. Keep up the good work!

We were there for a business lunch with 10 people. Making a reservation and requesting a bill was no problem at all. I was called in advance and offered a buffet of sorts – basically appetizers and a main course in the middle, and everyone could help themselves (as is customary in Greece). Our meat preferences were immediately accommodated, and a truly delicious combination was put together. The place is quite small and was busy – which meant it was a bit noisy, but it wasn't a problem. Great service, delicious Greek food, a small but lovely atmosphere right in the heart of Bonn. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys authentic, fresh Greek food.

So pleasant, both the appetizer, cheese croquettes with paprika feta, and the main course, veal braised in an eggplant bed, were excellent. This restaurant was close to our hotel and I was in the mood for something different than German food so we tried this Greek restaurant the server, a young man from Albania was lovely. He could speak English, and he was very helpful. I had the Dorada whole fish. It was good came with potatoes and a salad. I was surprised at the salad. I thought it would be a Greek salad since I was in a Greek restaurant, but it wasn’t also had the Greek pasta also had a spinach pie, which was just OK they gave us a complementary starter, which was just a little bit of noodles and at the end they gave us something. I think it was some kind of a hummus thing. Couldn’t understand what he said. We also had a English menu and the English menu it said that the wine was €2.10 and when the bill came, it was six euros because he said that was an old menu well fix the menu. !!!Don’t give me a customer menu and now tell me my wine is more. I don’t know if I would’ve ordered it. I only drank a little bit of it, but that was my own fault. I paid it no problem, but I think the menu should be updated. The grilled sea bream was a dream with its olive oil and lemon sauce, as were the roasted potatoes and salad. A very pleasant restaurant with a good atmosphere and an idyllic outdoor area. And all at an excellent price-performance ratio.

The location is beautiful—under a large tree that immediately reminded me of a village square in Greece! The service was very friendly, and we were surprised with little treats both at the beginning and end of the meal. During the meal, we tried chicken and lamb skewers—both were delicious and served with freshly cut fries. The ingredients were really of very good quality. The dakos salad was a bit different from the traditional recipe—it could have used more feta and tomatoes. Overall, I found the food very close to authentic Greek food (as a Greek, I can attest to this), and we will definitely be back!

Sometimes you have to listen to your gut feeling. We had tried to reserve a table by email days in advance. Unfortunately, we didn't get a response. (But that can get lost in the daily grind). So we reserved a table by phone. When we arrived, our table wasn't available yet, or rather, we got the impression that no table had been reserved for us. So we stood around a bit helplessly at first, until we took the initiative and sat down at a free table, as the waiters had apparently forgotten about us. After that, we had to wait a while until a waiter cleared and cleaned the table. We were seriously considering leaving. Our order was taken relatively quickly, and the welcome from the kitchen was served. Then the long wait began again. Only after asking did we at least get our drinks after 30 minutes. The food itself was delicious, but could have been seasoned better. Too bad, we had expected more.

We were thrilled with the food and the truly excellent service. The starters were fantastic—a varied selection, very tasty, and plentiful. The main courses were also very tasty. We'll definitely be back.

I'm sorry, but customer service and friendliness look different. We sat there for over two hours, after an hour and a half we got our drinks, and after two hours we still hadn't had our food, not even an appetizer. The waiters kept blaming each other; none of them were able to give us any information about our order. We got up afterward and ate at a Turkish restaurant 200 meters away. Never again, I've never seen anything like it in my life, what a shame. I don't recommend this restaurant.

July 11, 2025, 11:40 a.m. Never again, a disaster. The worst experience in my 30 years in Germany, from the entire staff, the chef, and the receptionist, who called herself the boss, was arrogant and unprofessional. The food had no taste, the meat was all slimy, dry, unseasoned, and a waste of money.

We were at the restaurant with 15 people (pre-reservations). Everything was prepared, the service was good, and everyone enjoyed the food! Definitely recommended!

We had a wonderful meal! The best Taramas I've ever eaten! Very authentic Greek cuisine, top-notch service! Great starters, all fresh and homemade. You can't ask for more! They also serve Greek beer on tap and Greek wine. We had various starters, all highly recommended, along with beer and wine... and to finish, we had ouzo on the house! I should also mention the chicken skewer, my husband said; it was super tender and perfectly seasoned! We'd love to come back. Efcharisto!

Maybe we were just having a bad day, but aside from the treatment, we were given the starter with the main course, served cold skewers, and when a side dish was out, the kitchen chose another one. Perhaps there should be a few fewer tables outside so that customers can be served properly. The dissatisfaction of the guests was palpable around us. It's a shame.

So, the food was amazing. In short, the meat was tender, flavorful, and fresh. The potatoes were fresh and hand-cut and were excellent. And I read a comment here that the beetroot pasta salad wasn't tasty? That person has zero taste, and their palate must have been ruined by ready-made pizza and fried fries, because for me, it was amazing—few ingredients yet high-quality. ❤️

Wonderful restaurant! We were there a week ago. Despite the small room inside, the atmosphere was just super, everything was homely and the staff was very friendly. I was personally captivated by the Moussaka - a Greek national dish, and the grilled fish was great. We left a tip, we wish the restaurant prosperity and success. I recommend it

It is OK, nowhere in Germany so far has any great dishes, so everything is relative. But the day we were there (Tuesday 18:00) it was so full, the service was as if everything was coming from Greece. And to pay our bills (German style of course everyone separately and everyone at every other table!) It took an hour at least just to pay. So in the end did not really worth it. Would not be in my future restaurant list definitely.

Reservations are recommended, as word has long since spread about the delicious, homemade food and the pleasant atmosphere with a relaxed clientele. Moussaka, tzatziki, stuffed eggplant, all very delicious. The shrimp appetizer could have been a bit more seasoned for my taste, but all in all, we were extremely satisfied! We'll definitely book a table here again on our next visit to Bonn!
