Although it's the first Greek restaurant that doesn't have gyros on the menu, the food was exceptionally good. Give it a try!

Great homemade food. Friendly host. The tzatziki was excellent. Refreshingly different.

The food was freshly prepared, very good, the staff was friendly, and everything was clean and tidy. One small caveat: We sat outside, and the wind was quite strong due to the layout of the buildings. Bring a sweater.

I can't confirm the positive reviews so far. The portions were very small, the meat was dry, and only moderately seasoned. The service was polite but completely overwhelmed. Overall, not recommended!

A nice Greek restaurant with many well-known classic Mediterranean dishes. The restaurant is easy to reach and has plenty of seating, making it ideal for groups. The outdoor area, in particular, offers plenty of shade in the summer. During our visit, the restaurant and outdoor area were quite busy. Unfortunately, this was noticeable in the service. But hats off to the server, what he accomplished deserves recognition. He was clearly trying hard, yet courteous and friendly. It's fine that one or two things were forgotten. Nevertheless, the service worked quickly. In my opinion, the quality of the food could be improved. Everything is fresh and prepared from scratch, but it lacks that famous flair... More courage with the seasoning! Overall, I recommend the Olive, and I'll definitely be back.

I can't understand these reviews here. It was our first time there and the reception was initially friendly. The “greetings from the kitchen” included pasta salad! The taste wasn't outstanding and I didn't think it was a good start for a restaurant that advertises local, high-quality food. Unfortunately, the main course was also not convincing; it could have been prepared better by a “normal” housewife. Unfortunately, last but not least, the whole meal was covered in dried oregano. It's a shame ☹️ We were very disappointed, we probably won't have a second visit.

I really loved the Olive restaurant in Bonn! The food was excellent, especially the Pastitsio. I've been looking for a good pastitsio since my last vacation in Greece - and I finally found it here! It tasted exactly how I wanted it to. The tzatziki was also fantastic, super creamy and spicy. We sat outside, which was really nice given the evening atmosphere. The only negative: we had to wait almost 35 minutes before we could start ordering. But the excellent food and the otherwise very friendly service quickly made up for it. In short: If you want really good Greek food in Bonn, you should go to the Olive restaurant.

Food was good. Operation very chaotic. Atmosphere was rushed.

A waiter had allowed us to sit outside, so we did. Unfortunately we waited for over 20 minutes to be served, neither drinks nor food were taken. After over 20 minutes of calling for a waitress, we were finally served. Some of the food came cold and the waiting times were a little longer than in other restaurants. In itself a nice atmosphere but the service was very disappointing as I am also a waiter and I don't let customers wait 20+ minutes for drinks and food.

I'm having a bit of a hard time with three stars, but waiting almost 40 minutes for the food, then being relatively cold even though the restaurant wasn't that full, is too much. But it was tasty, and the waiter (boss?) was super nice. Price was okay at 45.-

We discovered this place by chance and absolutely loved it. The service was perfect. We were treated extremely friendly by the owner and his daughter. The food was excellent. I ate the best moussaka in my life and the Easter kid was also delicious. The dishes taste like they were cooked by mom (I was told it was dad). On our next visit to Bonn, the Olive restaurant will be part of the program for us.

One of the best places to eat in Bonn

One star is still too many. Unfortunately not recommended. More guests are accepted than can be served. It is not possible to eat within two hours. The leftover food is disposed of in the Gastrsum and if you pay by card, you stand directly in front of the often-open trash can with the leftover food.

Bad service, long waiting times, mediocre food. Unfortunately not enough for a second time.

We often come here at lunchtime when we are in town. The owner is always so welcoming and the food tastes great. The portions are generous! There are also particularly fine Greek dishes here (e.g. rabbit, fish, pastitio), which you won't find anywhere else! In addition, there is always a small, changing starter on the house, and a Greek beer or ouzo is also served here! When the weather is good, you can eat outside on the terrace, sheltered and shaded under a tree. Inside, the restaurant is also very cozy and inviting. See you again very soon!

good Greek food, next to the church you can sit outside to eat. The menu is clear, the food is very good, everything with olive oil or good sunflower oil. We got a small soup on the house, we came without a reservation and it's difficult because there are a lot of reservations. But we still had 2 hours until we had to leave.

Totally dry bread, unfortunately meat was tough. Unfortunately, the simplest dishes didn't taste good.

Very simple furnishings. There was a lot of hustle and bustle in the room and it was very loud. The food was simple and not very tasty. The price on the menu was cheap but not appropriate for the food and ambience.

I usually eat in Greek restaurants with a larger selection and better quality food BUT the prices are also much higher there.

Restaurant Olive in Brüdergasse – A little piece of Greece in the heart of the city! We had a wonderful evening in the Olive restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, authentic and prepared with a lot of love. The family atmosphere and the incredibly friendly, courteous service almost make you forget that you are not really in Greece. The spirit of Greek hospitality can clearly be felt here. We were particularly impressed by the high quality of the food, which is really worth every visit. A little tip: you should definitely make a reservation on the weekend as there isn't a lot of space. But the effort is definitely worth it! We'll definitely be back.

After a day in Bonn, from Maastricht, we had dinner at Restaurant Olive. We ordered Meze and it was very good and tasty. It was nice that there was still a table available for us. Nice people, good food, good location. If we go to Bonn again, we will definitely have a bite to eat at this restaurant again. 👍

Really authentic and convincing Greek cuisine that stands out from many other Greek restaurants that are more reminiscent of a snack bar. You immediately feel comfortable and welcome. The boss in particular looks after his guests very carefully; you can feel that he runs his restaurant with heart and soul. The dishes were excellent across the board, whether tzatziki, fish roe and eggplant salad as starters or the main courses of moussaká and grilled mackerel, which the host even filleted at the table upon request. There are also three beers on tap and a large selection of wines, both by the glass and in bottles at a fair price. The premium retsina from Davaris was the best retsina we have ever drunk, a really convincing, harmonious wine with perfectly integrated resin notes and beautiful fruit. Many thanks to the whole team around the lovely host Mr. Karamis. We'll be back!

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, the service was a complete disaster! You had to beg for a bottle of wine or water and plates weren't cleared away. However, bifteki were a dream, as was beef ragou. If you want to eat well, you shouldn't go to Olive.

On the weekend it was very crowded and the tables were crowded. Nevertheless, everything went well and the food was excellent. I have rarely eaten such a good sea bream. My eggplant puree was also excellent.

I've eaten here several times with my partner and today was alone for the first time. I immediately felt comfortable and like I was on vacation. The owner welcomes you warmly and personally. The food is consistently very tasty and freshly homemade, even the baklava that is still lukewarm! I can only warmly recommend Olive and will come back often.

At short notice we decided on the Restaurant Olive today and were immediately impressed. It offers particularly good authentic Greek cuisine that doesn't offer the usual fare. The starters such as zucchini fritters and fried eggplant are delicious, as are the moussaka and bifteki. There are delicious open red wines and water at fair prices. As a greeting from the kitchen, there was a small bean soup and a small dessert on the bill. Thank you for that. Unfortunately, we can rarely come there to eat because we live in Bavaria. But we'd love to come back.

Really great, stands out from ordinary Greeks

Authentic, delicious, cozy.- The Olive is almost as much of a tradition among the people of Bonn as a Rhenish pub. You wait to get a table, you are ready to find comfort in a small space: you enjoy the Greek flair of a Bonn pub. The Taramas is delicious and can practically hold a candle to the one in the “stage”. The prawns in garlic dip are great. For some unknown reason, I was advised against lamb chops in favor of lamb skewers: tasty, but the potatoes were a bit elastic and could be seen everywhere on the tables around me. The grilled mackerel was too dark on the outside, but OK, and the dip was too runny. Conclusion: Quite recommended!

Unfortunately I can't recommend it. We had a reservation, but despite this reservation we had to wait another 50 minutes. Once inside we had to wait another 20 minutes for something to drink, although it was only water. Everything was very unpleasant and far too unfriendly. You don't even get the beer you ordered. We will not consider another visit.

This place has an incredible homelike atmosphere and the owners are very sweet. The food is honestly perfectly cooked and tastes delicious. The portion sizes are again amazing.

Four of us had dinner there last night and it was really fantastic! The fish, the meat, everything prepared to perfection! The starters were incredibly tasty! Service was top! We were at the Olive restaurant with 8 people on a Friday evening. The evening was perfect! The food was fresh and very tasty. My favorite is the chicken skewer and the zucchini balls, but all the other dishes were also completely satisfactory. The warm and friendly manner in which we were welcomed and served by the owner made the visit an unforgettable evening.

The food itself was delicious, but I have never spent so much money for so little food. Add what feels like three grains of rice to the skewer. If you look at pictures of the restaurant you can see the same food in larger portions. Apparently there isn't much emphasis on delivery

Small and inconspicuous restaurant. It's best to reserve a table in advance or you may have to wait. Even as a vegetarian you will find something very good here. The service is great. Even if you wish, we always make sure to offer an option. I can highly recommend the semolina porridge baked in puff pastry with honey for dessert.

We had a very nice evening with 7 people. We came at prime time and unfortunately we waited a long time for the drinks. The waiter with the food tried very hard and really hurried to serve all the tables well and quickly. Another person in service would have been good. The food was clear and really tasty. There was a small lentil soup for everyone beforehand and at the end an ouzo or espresso on the house. We'll definitely be back!

Auf Empfehlung vom Chef hatten wir eine sehr große Auswahl von Vor- und Hauptspeisen. Das war perfekt und war ein toller Querschnitt durch die Griechische Küche. Sehr gutes Essen, sehr freundliches und engagiertes Personal, nette Atmosphäre.

We were told on the phone that reservations weren't necessary. Once we got there, we were supposed to sit at a table together, which we refused. But a solution was found and another table was shared. Almost twenty minutes to order the drinks and then of course one of the meals is definitely too long. Incidentally, other guests had a similar experience, or sometimes worse. At least they received a greeting from the kitchen that didn't find its way to us. My bifteki came in three pieces so it had already fallen apart on the grill. Tasteful but still delicious. Unfortunately, just like with my wife's skewers (also delicious), there was no tzatziki with it. We ordered twice as soon as the plates arrived. When we asked, at least one portion was served, unfortunately I had already finished eating. Very annoying and disappointing. But when two portions of tzatziki appear on the bill for a mere 10 euros, it becomes somehow unpleasant. I asked the boss about it, who just said that otherwise the service was good... At some point he apologized sensibly. But the bill remained the same. All in all very bumpy and very unprofessional in terms of service, which is a shame because the food isn't actually that bad.

Nous avions réservé pour 19 h30 et le restaurant était plein, L’accueil étais parfait en anglais. Nous avons très bien mangé plusieurs grillades accompagnées de pommes de terre rissolées et salade de choux et bien sur les spécialités slouviaka d’agneaux délicieux plat grillé avec une bonne bouteille de vin Grecque rien a dire sinon que nous reviendrons certainement. L’amabilité et simplicité du patron nous a touché. Félicitations a eux.

Very good Greek cuisine. It stands out very much from the other large restaurants. For example, there are no gyros, souflaki etc. But very tasty fish dishes and home cooking like mousaka, lots of small meze. Good Greek wine and beer. Very busy on Friday evenings, table reservations are an advantage.

Great restaurant centrally located and yet a bit hidden in Bonn city center. In summer you can sit outside great. The restaurant is small and quaint. Lovingly and discreetly furnished. Very well attended! The food is fabulous and tastes like grandma's. My mother would easily move to Bonn because of the good food here.

We had dinner for two in this place and it was almost full. It's a brasserie type of place and the tables were not covered. The napkins were very thin and paper. Not suitable for dinner or eating in general. We were served very quickly, too quickly. The food was ok and the service lacked table manners. We had a starter which was good and as soon as we finished the main course was served before the table was cleared of the starter dishes. As if that was not enough, we had to keep our cutlery. Next time we're in Bonn, we hope to find a real restaurant with professional manners and staff.

The boss welcomes and says goodbye to each table personally and very warmly, so you immediately feel at home. The starters are best for sharing, one was tastier than the other, we were blown away! The side dishes are all homemade, from the coleslaw to the fries, and the main courses are deliciously seasoned and delicately grilled. The dessert was also so delicious that we almost regretted sharing it. It's super comfortable to sit in, the store is packed and we felt very comfortable!

The appetizer of stuffed peppers with a little feta didn't convince me and the potatoes in the moussaka were warmed up - unfortunately that's how they tasted. Unfortunately it didn't convince me. The dessert was rich. Greek yogurt with honey and a little walnuts was ok. I know better Greeks in Bonn.
