Great ambience, great service and excellent food!

Selten so schlecht gegessen! Die "Rosmarinkartoffeln" zum Fisch waren viel zu fettig, die Nudeln zum Lendenpfännchen ebenfalls. Die "Forelle" war wohl in der Fritteuse rausgebacken......Nie mehr wieder!

Yes. My specific problems with food were addressed.

We weren't there often, but we enjoyed being with you. One of the last inns in the region where you could get authentic Thuringian cuisine in an authentic ambience. It's a shame that the death of inns is progressing in favor of "national" property managers and that the identity of the Rennsteig is once again falling victim to greed for profit.

Great service, very good Thuringian cuisine

Nice restaurant, rather inconspicuous from the outside, but fine inside, so something like an insider tip. The operators are very nice, friendly and very approachable. The food is very tasty and plentiful, for reasonable prices. Ambience is cozy. We were lucky to get seats without booking in advance. But it is certainly advisable to order in advance, as in almost all good restaurants, as these are becoming fewer and fewer. Highly recommended. We will come back.

Yesterday we went for schnitzel day with a small group. We were absolutely satisfied with everything, be it the very friendly service or the very tasty food. Praise also to the kitchen! We all enjoyed it very much and felt very comfortable. We'll definitely see each other again!

On Farewell Hi Hardys, When I discovered you the year before last, I knew: I had never looked for it, but I had found it - I was only one thing: in love with shock! I have never felt so comfortable. Nice waiters, great hosts, delicious food, good drinks, a very cozy atmosphere and every single guest is immediately a friendly table neighbor who is up for fun. Every beer, every wine in the sun outside or in the storm inside was always a break from everyday life and a pleasure that ensured that I went home with a smile, sometimes sober, sometimes pleasantly tipsy. Now, despite the short time, I look at you with both a laughing and a crying eye. Laughing because I'm grateful for every hour I spent with you. (the auction alone will be remembered for a long time) Crying because it's over. 'Hardys', I'll miss you terribly. Jutta & Hardy: Thank you, just thank you, that's your credit :)

We have been here many times and have always received friendly and courteous service. Only when there are larger groups of guests is it echoing and it is difficult to have a conversation.
