Moldy toast at Food, but I still had to pay for the dish. Unbelievable. Absolutely not recommended.

I remembered it as good, but it has deteriorated considerably. The rooms were spoiled and in need of renovation, like everything else. No dinner on Tuesday, breakfast deteriorated considerably; rolls were hard and of poor quality. A real shame.

Mr. Marcel Nowak is a very good cook. Upscale gastronomy is cooked here with passion. Just always good.

Nice place with delicious food and drinks. It was very busy even on a Monday afternoon and it's all pretty tight seating, so it can get a bit loud. The service was excellent with a lot of nice friendly people :) I don't have anything bad to say.

The Cologne City Garden is a wonderful green oasis in the middle of the city and a real highlight, especially at Christmas time. The Christmas market in the Stadtgarten stands out from the larger markets due to its cozy atmosphere. The small wooden huts, the atmospheric lighting and the lovingly designed stands create a very special atmosphere. The range is varied - from handmade gifts to special culinary treats, you can find many beautiful things here. The quality of the food and drinks is very good. There is a great selection of hot drinks, including not only classic mulled wine, but also special creations. The stalls offer high-quality and often regional products, which makes the market even more attractive. What's particularly nice is that things are a little more relaxed and personal here than at the city's large Christmas markets. A small negative point, however, is that it can get very crowded at peak times. Especially on weekends, it is sometimes difficult to find a seat or to move comfortably through the stands. If you prefer something a little quieter, try visiting during the week or earlier in the day. Apart from that, the Cologne City Garden is a beautiful place - both for the Christmas market and for a relaxed walk or a cozy meeting in the café. Anyone looking for an alternative to the large, crowded markets will definitely feel at home here.

An extraordinary country house furnished with attention to detail. The food was very good and was served in a pleasantly short time. The couple who have been running the inn for a long time are extremely nice and you feel very welcome. I can highly recommend this beautiful restaurant because it stands out positively and is really a great experience (insider tip is also in the basement and the upper floor, there are many Cologne things to discover here!

We didn't listen to the negative reviews and gave it a chance. Fortunately! We were served well, ate deliciously and the drinks were well poured and cold. We celebrated our wedding in the Klosterschänke Karthaus and are still very happy about it. From the first contact we felt we were in very good hands with the Klosterschänke team. In recent years, the owner has reinvented the monastery tavern - be it in terms of the new furnishings/equipment or the excellent food. All agreements regarding our wishes were completely uncomplicated and Mr. Bialy was available at any time to answer any questions. So it was no problem to set up a buffet that, in addition to meat dishes, also had a large number of vegetarian/vegan dishes. We were also able to decorate and furnish the room according to our wishes, with Carsten Bialy always at our side with a helping hand. During the celebration we felt welcomed by an extremely attentive and motivated team who accompanied our guests and us with outstanding service and a lot of cheerfulness and ease throughout the day and well into the night. Due to the beautiful weather, everything was ready for a wonderful reception outside the banquet hall and our guests and their children were also able to use the entire lawn in front of the monastery tavern to relax and play. Our DJ was also very happy with the in-house music system. For this reason we can only give a very clear recommendation for the Klosterschänke!

Super delicious to eat and fast service. It's just a shame that they have to close forever at the end of December 2024 because no successor could be found.
