Unfortunately it appears to have ceased operations. It's a shame, given the good reviews and the delicious photos - it's right on a Wisper trail and could be worth it...

Addendum to the review: Unfortunately this restaurant no longer exists. No comparison to the former Markusquelle, nice service, super tasty food of top quality. Unfortunately, the restaurant/beer garden doesn't open until 5:00 p.m., at lunchtime only the "sausage window" around the corner is open with bar tables, otherwise I would definitely have been there more often.

Sehr gutes Essen (u.a. gegrillte Schweinehaxe und einen Steakteller) und eine freundliche Bedienung. Die Preise waren angemessen. Wir kommen sicherlich wieder. Vielen Dank!

In the middle of the beautiful Odenwald, completely hidden, lies the country inn, which looks rustic from the outside. But when you come in, you can see the modern and old furnishings very nicely. Very friendly service and mega delicious food. Traditional dishes interpreted in a modern way.

The best place in the area. The best schnitzel in the area. The best service in the country. We were a group twice, the first time, despite the late hour, the cook fed us to our fill.
