Emils – Wirtshaus im Stümpelstal in Marburg

Essen sehr lecker. Der Service lässt zu wünschen übrig, in einem Restaurant mit diesen Preisniveau hätte ich einen besseren Service erwartet.

Es war ein schöner Sommerabend auf der Terrasse mit gutem Essen und leckerem Wein. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und selbst Sonderwünsche wurden erfüllt.

Wir waren mit vier Personen zum Abendessen dort. Es stimmte alles vom Ambiente, der Service bis zum Essen. Super leckere Bratkartoffeln, der Cous Cous war spitze und zum Schluss noch ein köstliches Dessert.

Das Restaurant ist schön gelegen und das Ambiente schön. Leider ist der Service und der Umgang mit den Gästen absolut nicht ok. Es wird weder auf wünsche eingegangen noch auf die Gäste eingegangen wenn etwas schief geht. Man ist den quasi den Launen der angestellten ausgeliefert. Bei mir ging es um ein Kommunikatives Problem, welches dazu geführt hat, das ein falsches Bier auf meinem Tisch gelandet ist. Hier wurde ich vor die Wahl gestellt (Vogel friss oder stirb). Meine Erwartung ist, das man bei Unklarheiten eine Rückfrage erhält und für den fall, dass einem das durch rutscht die Verantwortung übernimmt. Der Kunde ist König!

Wir waren heute im Emil's Mittagessen. Es war sehr lecker. Mein Steak war nicht wie gewünscht medium-rare, dafür wurde mir aber ein Dessert angeboten. Die Bedienung ist sehr flott, überaus freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Preis-Leistung top!

Wir hätten uns keinen schöneren Ort für unsere Hochzeit wünschen können! Von Anfang bis Ende war alles perfekt organisiert und wir haben uns den ganzen Tag über rundum wohlgefühlt. Ein ganz großes Lob geht an das gesamte Team – alle waren unglaublich herzlich, aufmerksam und haben dazu beigetragen, dass unser Tag unvergesslich wurde. Besonders bedanken möchten wir uns bei Felix. Es war so eine liebe Geste, dass er mir meinen Schleier bis ins zum Ort der Trauung getragen hat, sodass er nicht nass und schmutzig wird. Solche kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten machen den Unterschied und zeigen, mit wie viel Herz hier gearbeitet wird. Auch wenn das Wetter nicht ganz auf unserer Seite war, hat das Team dafür gesorgt, dass unser Hochzeitstag einfach perfekt wurde. Es war ein wunderschöner Tag voller unvergesslicher Momente. Vielen lieben Dank an das gesamte Team! Wir würden unsere Hochzeit jederzeit wieder bei euch feiern. ❤️✨

Sehr freundlicher aufmerksamer Service und leckeres Essen.

Sehr nettes, uriges Wirtshaus. Essen ist super lecker, das Personal ist freundlich und man kann angenehm sitzen. Reservierung ist zwingend, sonst findet man keine Platz. Nicht ganz preiswert, aber jeden Cent wert

Waren dort zu einer Hochzeitsfeier eingeladen, war alles top. Inklusive großer Spielwiese für Kinder mit Schaukel und Kletterbaumstamm.

Kurz vorweg,wir waren schon öfter hier und das Essen war immer spitze,man merkt die Liebe die hier rein gesteckt wird. Wir hatten an Vatertag einen Tisch reserviert,haben auf der Website leider übersehen,das es ausschließlich Schnitzelbuffet gibt. Dieses war für uns persönlich eine große Enttäuschung. Das Essen war nur lauwarm teilweise sogar kalt, die Schnitzel trocken und geschmacklos,der Salat leicht braun und hat den Anschein gemacht als käme er aus der Tüte. Die Pommes waren trocken die Bratkartoffeln viel zu fettig allgemein hat das Essen an diesem Tag echt nicht geschmeckt das Gemüse war leider auch schon total trocken und ebenfalls super fettig. Das Buffet hat 40€ gekostet dementsprechend höher sind dann Natürlich auch die Erwartungen. Selbst das Tiramisu hatte nicht mal Espresso und die Biskuits waren gezuckert. Die Panna Cotta war lecker. Und der Service war wie immer super. Wir haben 100€ bei Ihnen gelassen und sind für das Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis echt super enttäuscht. Essen ist so teuer geworden und irgendwie ja auch eine Art Luxus geworden dazu waren wir das erste mal mit unserem Baby in einem Restaurant zu dritt und hatten uns sehr auf diesen Besuch gefreut. A la carte seid ihr wirklich absolute Spitze aber das war leider echt ein Fauxpas unserer Meinung nach.

Wir waren ganz schwer beeindruckt von dem schönen Hotel, dem hervorragenden Essen und dem so überaus freundlichen Service, der uns jeden Wunsch von den Lippen und aus den Augen abgelesen hat! Sehr sehr gerne wieder! Vielen lieben Dank an ALLE!

Bedarf keiner weiterer Worte. Rundum empfehlenswert.

War nach mehrfacher Empfehlung mit meiner Partnerin zum Spargel Buffet dort. Ambiente und Essen waren sehr gut, allerdings wurden wir beim reinkommen ignoriert. 5 Leute standen an der Theke die uns zwar anschauten jedoch weder begrüßten noch bedienten. Dauerte etwas bis sich dann eine junge Frau erbarmte und zu begrüßen. Das geht bei einem durchschnittlichen Preis von ca. 100€ für 2 Personen überhaupt nicht.

Wir waren am 1. Mai im EMILS – Wirtshaus im Stümpelstal und leider sehr enttäuscht. Der Service war von Anfang an schlecht: Wir mussten lange auf unsere Getränke warten und wurden nicht richtig darüber informiert, dass es ausschließlich ein Buffet gibt und keine normale Speisekarte. Das Buffet selbst hat uns ebenfalls nicht überzeugt – das Essen war teilweise kalt, geschmacklich nicht gut und außerdem ständig leer. Es hat sehr lange gedauert, bis nachgefüllt wurde. Auch Dinge wie Teller und Besteck waren oft nicht verfügbar. Besonders negativ war, dass das Geschirr überhaupt nicht abgeräumt wurde. Auf Nachfragen reagierte das Personal zudem sehr genervt, z. B. als wir wegen unserer Getränke nachgehakt haben, die wir bereits vor etwa 20 Minuten bestellt hatten. Für 44 € pro Person (Getränke extra) und 20 € für ein Kind (ebenfalls ohne Getränke) stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis absolut nicht. Wir waren sonst immer zufrieden, aber dieses Mal war es wirklich enttäuschend.

Waren zufällig hier auf der Durchreise mit Übernachtung im Hotel gleich nebenan. Hat sehr gut geschmeckt und tolle Auswahl an Speisen. Sehr frische Zutaten.

Sehr freundliches Personal, gute Mittagskarte, leckeres Essen, schönes Ambiente und das zu vernünftigen Preisen. Das Restaurant ist modern eingerichtet und es ist sauber und gepflegt. Einen Außenbereich gibt es auch.

Wir waren als Ehepaar zum ersten Mal im Emils und können es sehr empfehlen. Die Tischreservierung war schnell gemacht und die Platzwahl wurde 100% nach unserem Wunsch erfüllt :-). Die Gerichte waren sehr ansprechend angerichtet, wurden zügig serviert und waren sehr lecker (u.a. hessisch: Grüne Soße). Die Preise für Speisen und auch die Getränke finden wir sehr angemessen/moderat. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, die Atmosphäre angenehm. Herzlichen Dank! Wahnsinns Resteraunt, spitzen Essen und Service. Tolle Umsetzung von Tradition und moderner Küche

Ein wunderbarer Ort im Marburger Land. Selbst die scheinbar einfache Speise ‚Pommes‘ ist ein kulinarischer Hit. Dazu ein Sauvignon Blanc - jede Wanderung wird danach erträglich einfach.

Ein rundum perfekter Nachmittag! Wir haben das tolle Ambiente hier sehr genossen. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl, was nicht zuletzt an den extrem freundlichen und aufmerksamen Mitarbeitern liegt. Auch kulinarisch war es ein absolutes Highlight: Meine Partnerin hatte die Rouladen, ich das Cordon Bleu – beides war fantastisch zubereitet und extrem lecker. Den krönenden Abschluss bildete das köstliche Schokomousse zum Dessert. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen und kommen definitiv sehr bald wieder! Ich hatte auf der Homepage gesehen, das man Online reservieren kann, was problemlos funktioniert hat, wie die Mitarbeiterin erwähnte, macht das gerade zu den Stoßzeiten Sinn. (P.S.: Gefunden habe ich dieses wunderbare Wirtshaus übrigens durch eine Empfehlung von Google Gemini, die KI hat uns dies als erste Option angezeigt – ein absoluter Volltreffer!)

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt im Stümpelstal und hervorragendes Essen im Emils

Wir gehen hier ab und zu zum Mittagessen hin. Die Küche ist prima, die Bedienung freundlich und wir mussten nie lange auf unser Essen warten. Ich kann EMILS empfehlen.

Das Ambiente ist wirklich sehr schön, hier fühlt man sich wohl. Auf das Essen mussten wir leider lange warten. Das Schnitzel war leider nichts, es war zäh und die Panade auch nicht schön luftig. Die Pommes hingegen waren top! Das Steak war leider auch nicht gut, wohingegen die Bratkartoffeln wieder sehr gut waren. Vorspeise und Nachspeise haben gut geschmeckt. Der Service war in Ordnung. Wobei ich hier erwarte, dass man nach Getränken gefragt wird wenn die Teller abgeräumt werden und ein leeres Glas auf dem Tisch steht. Das war leider nicht der Fall. Insgesamt kann ich das Gesamtpaket für diesen Preis nicht empfehlen. Wir waren das erste Mal da und werden dem Ganzen beim nächsten Buffet Event vermutlich nochmal eine Chance geben.

Das Emils ist ein empfehlenswertes Restaurant mit äußerst freundlichem Service und sehr guter Küche. Ich hatte ein Wiener Schnitzel, das Kalbfleisch war zart und hatte einen feinen Geschmack. Der Kartoffel-Gurken-Salat war der beste, den ich bisher gegessen hatte. Warum ich einen Punkt abziehen muss, liegt an der Panade. Sie war nicht so luftig wie es beim Wiener Schnitzel sein sollte, hat zu sehr am Fleisch gehaftet und keine Blasen gebildet. Das ist aber auch der einzige Kritikpunkt, Geschmack, Service alles sehr gut und die Preise finde ich für die gelieferte Qualität sehr angemessen.

Wir waren in einer kleinen Gruppe, zum Abendessen, dort. Eine Tischreservierung ist notwendig. Die Auswahl an Speisen ist reichlich. Freundliches Personal. Bestellt hatten wir verschiedene Gerichte. Der Fisch (Lachs) war sehr geschmackvoll, das Risotto dazu ein bissl zu salzig. Das Kalbsrahm-Gulasch ist zu empfehlen; warum der Salat zum Gericht allerdings extra berechnet wurde, hatte mich überrascht.

Prima Restaurant mit gutem Essen und Klasse Service.

Absolut köstliche Käsespätzle und die Trüffelpasta war ein Traum. Auf jeden Fall vorher reservieren, es ist sehr gut besucht. Der Service glänzt mit Aufmerksamkeit!

Everything about this place is just perfect. A charming yet modern atmosphere, attentive service, and truly fantastic food! Good, hearty home-style cooking with a modern twist, without feeling pretentious. They accommodate special requests whenever possible. Not cheap, but definitely reasonable prices for what's offered. That's why we don't come often, but we always look forward to it.

We were a group of four at Emils in Stümpelstal and had a truly wonderful evening. From the appetizer to the dessert, everything was absolutely delicious and perfectly balanced. Update: We recently stopped at Emils again for lunch and were all disappointed. Reasons: - A completely arrogant server who rudely showed us to our table - Stained chairs - Crumbs on the table - The room was very cold and the radiator was off - Fried potatoes were dried out - The schnitzel was extremely small and pounded far too thin... more breading than meat The sauce was completely colorless None of the owners were in sight... perhaps that's the reason for this disappointment? We enjoyed very tasty food in a great atmosphere. The aperitif was also excellent 👍. I would describe the service as needing improvement; while very friendly and polite, it wasn't particularly attentive. This was certainly due to the busy atmosphere and is forgivable. The portion sizes were absolutely perfect; you could easily choose an appetizer and dessert, and even the men in our group left satisfied.

In my opinion, the best choice for good food in the Marburg area. I only visit Marburg occasionally these days, but whenever I have the choice, I go to Emils. The food is consistently perfect. I've never been even slightly dissatisfied. They also have seasonally changing menus with constantly new dishes and drinks. The staff are true professionals and always give you a very warm welcome. All in all, there's absolutely nothing to criticize, and I highly recommend making the short drive out of town. A definite recommendation, and keep up the good work!

We're staying at the hotel for work and eat at Emils almost every day. The service is quick and has always been friendly and attentive. The menu is well-stocked and humorously designed. There's something for everyone (even vegetarians). They also offer a variety of drinks, including many mixed drinks and draft beer. A particular highlight: schnapps from the Westerwald region. All the dishes we've tried so far have been prepared quickly and are truly delicious. The portions are generous, and you can always let the kitchen know your individual preferences. A special treat: fresh chilies upon request. The value for money is excellent. I recommend making a reservation before your visit.

I ate the bowl and was unfortunately disappointed. Raw vegetables with a little quinoa and too much mayo. I was expecting something different. It wasn't right for me. The price-performance ratio wasn't right either. Maybe I just chose the wrong thing. What a shame. The ambiance was great, and the service was great.

There's nothing left to do but give everything 5 stars. However, it's essential to make a reservation. It's rare for a spot to be available at short notice. Unfortunately, reservations are only possible online. The food is top-quality. Mostly regional (tropical fruits and the like are difficult to find).

A quiet, beautiful garden with a very modern interior. There's a great menu for dinner, including vegetarian options. Breakfast is plentiful with plenty of choices, often featuring delicacies from the previous day.

The food was good, but you should make sure the salad is fresh; there were lettuce leaves that really shouldn't have been in a salad. I'll be back, but if it happens again, I'll send it back, even if the place is full!

The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Although the appetizer (a loaf of bread) was good, the burger with dry-aged patties was unsatisfying (relatively tough, lacking flavor, and very heavy on the stomach). I've been told before that there are big differences in the preparation of dry-aged meat. Often, the rind isn't thoroughly removed from the meat, resulting in a mixture of tender, aged meat and tough, rind. However, given the price of the burger, I assumed they worked conscientiously. My guess is that this wasn't the case here—of course, I wasn't there, so it's pure speculation... For me, the price-performance ratio wasn't right at all, which is why I'm giving this review. I wish other guests better luck with their burger or another dish...

The starter was excellent, the main course was rather poor and cold. The service was at times confused but otherwise very friendly.

I was really looking forward to the burger you posted, but it didn't have much in common with a smash burger. There was too little cheese, I really couldn't taste the caramelized onions, and the patty lacked that typical crunch. The light hint of lemon flavor was completely out of place for me. If you serve fries with it, you should consider making them a bit crispier with truffle mayo and Parmesan cheese.

Dear Emil's Wirtshaus. We were at Emil's again yesterday and had reserved a table for 13 people. A pre-ordered selection of appetizers was served, all of which were absolutely delicious. The main courses were ordered a la carte and were also delicious. The drinks, coffee, and dessert were also to our satisfaction. Very tasty food, reasonable prices, creative and classic at the same time.

That was fantastic. I'd been hoping for a schnitzel evening, as the braces finally came out of my mouth a few days before 😄. The two schnitzels with mushrooms, the salad, and the super crispy fries were a hit! Friendly service, and the wait for the food was okay, about 15 minutes. The restrooms were clean, and all in all, a very nice, filling evening. Highly recommended, and we'd be happy to go again! Thank you very much.

It's been a while since we visited. But we still wanted to review our visit. Everything about this restaurant is just perfect. The ambiance is very cozy and modern. We received very attentive and friendly service, and they always asked if everything was okay or if we had any requests. Our dog (a Golden Retriever) was also provided with water and received plenty of attention in the form of petting. He was able to move around the restaurant freely. But it wasn't crowded, so no one was bothered. The food was absolutely delicious. We had rump steak and cheese spaetzle with salad. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the side dishes were also perfect. The spaetzle were still slightly firm to the bite, nice and creamy, and had a delicious cheesy flavor, but not overwhelming. Both were delicious. We would order again and again. We will definitely be back.

Simply fantastic. We spontaneously went to Emil's to grab a bite to eat. The service was very pleasant and attentive. We felt very comfortable. The food was not only a visual highlight, but also tasted truly outstanding. The decor is modern and stylish. We'll definitely be back.

It's a real shame how little the potential of this place is being utilized. Lackluster service; we waited an hour and a half for the food. Despite the small lunch menu, what was served was unacceptable. What was advertised as risotto was ultimately just rice pudding. The portion sizes of the various dishes ranged from reasonable to children's plates. The menu stated that every dish on the lunch menu came with a free coffee. Apparently, the staff weren't aware of this; espressos and coffees were charged extra. All in all, EMILS managed to make what should have been a lovely day seem less than pleasant. We had hoped for much more.

Cozy, modernized restaurant, relaxed atmosphere, with a varied and seasonal menu, medium to high price range, friendly service, highly recommended! However, you should like fried potatoes, as fried potatoes are disproportionately often offered as a side dish.

We went to the Wine & Dine event, which we all really enjoyed. There was a super delicious menu with a great wine pairing from Drosseln&Specht (from Gießen). Service was very attentive and we had a great evening :)

I was there alone and was welcomed openly. For the starter (bread with 3 different dips) I was given bread for free, which I gratefully accepted so that I could finish the excellent dips :) The Kasspatzen were also very good. Conclusion: Very good food and nice service for reasonable money 👍🏻

Das Ambiente im Emils ist sehr nett. Die Ausstattung rustikal aber trotzdem modern und gemütlich, das Personal war sehr freundlich und bemüht einem einen netten Aufenthalt zu bereiten. Die Speisekarte ist gutbürgerlich. Das Essen schmeckte wie hausgemacht, so soll es sein, wenn man essen geht. Die Qualität war sehr gut und die Portionen wirklich groß. Zu meiner Freude gab es noch eine große Portion dunkler Braten Sauce kostenlos dazu. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Thanks to Emils!

We're in the area for a few days. But the first visit was so convincing that we went back the next day. All the dishes we had were sensationally delicious and not one-size-fits-all. The staff is super nice, helpful and gives great tips on what to try. The very best were the Wirtshaus fries and the “Grei Soß - Mayonnaise” from the starter.

Absolutely delicious food. Very well seasoned. Super tasty green sauce and delicious potatoes. The wait is a bit longer, but it's worth it. The breakfast buffet is also extensive, fresh, and reasonably priced. Keep it up!

Perfect wine & dine at Emils. Great wines with good explanations of the wine selection, and perfect food with spontaneous gluten-free adaptations. We were all thrilled and would love to come back. A special thank you for your flexibility.
