Emils – Wirtshaus im Stümpelstal in Marburg

We discovered Emils in our almost unused voucher book when we were in Marburg and we were not disappointed. Very nice welcome, very tasty food and nice ambience, would love to come back!

The food was really tasty and well prepared. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service is friendly. I'd love to come back!

We were there for the Christmas party and had a great event. I ate there for the first time that day, and what can I say about it: the food was incredibly delicious. All dishes were of top quality. The service was great and so was the location. We rented a separate room and everyone had fun. Definitely coming to eat more often now.

Large portions and very friendly service

The service was very friendly and accommodating, requests were taken into account and the ambience is very nice. I had salmon on pumpkin risotto, which is highly recommended.

The food was, as usual, super delicious! The service was warm and attentive. Even if something goes wrong, action is taken very quickly and professionally. I always like to come back. The only point of criticism would be the heat in the restaurant, here one could pay more attention to a good exchange of oxygen.

The food was good, it just took an incredibly long time (planned party of about 20 people). The waitresses were probably overwhelmed: no further drinks were offered, some dishes from lunch were still on the table with the coffee and empty glasses/bottles were not cleared away. Too bad.

The overall package didn't entirely convince me.

Nice shop, very well maintained with nice staff. Unfortunately, there was probably a worm in our evening. Cordon Bleu was still raw inside. Side dishes were totally over salted and the steak wasn't tasty enough to justify the price. At least we didn't have to pay for the cordon bleu and the pumpkin soup I had as a starter was good. Too bad.

I only ordered Latte Machiato here. But it's always full here and you always have to reserve a table to make sure you get space. That's why I'm sure you can eat very well here. Terraces are also nice. Very nice and modernly equipped.

Pumpkin soup very good. Onion Rust Deluxe lukewarm and too tough, potatoes partly burnt. We had to wait 3 hours for our food. Drinks could usually only be reordered upon request. Staff nice. Toilet clean. Locally very loud. Price wise, well.

We were there with a larger group. Service seemed overwhelmed, drinks arrived slowly, food took an extremely long time (1.5 hours until the starter, another hour until the main course), the restaurant is nice. Overall, in my opinion, conditionally recommended.

Found through Google search and visited for the first time. The first impression was good, the menu and the drinks menu were well presented, which made the dishes on offer etc. something you wanted to try out. The tomato soup and the pasta were very tasty and absolutely reasonable in price, and the risotto with salmon we ordered was also a delight. The service was exemplary. In any case, “Emil” invites you to visit again Addendum: After 3 visits, my impression and that of my companion have changed, at least as far as the food is concerned. The chanterelles on the pasta were not free of sand, it crunched between my teeth, the Aperol Spritz seemed to be almost free of Aperol and Prosecco this time because it tasted mostly like water, the knives with the food were quite dull so it took a lot of skill cutting the meat etc., plus a few little things regarding the side dishes. It's a shame... a little more continuity and mindfulness would be an advantage

Very good food, friendly, attentive, calm and professional staff. You feel comfortable here. Been there again, still thrilled. Enjoyed chanterelle schnitzel in season. Unfortunately there is currently no beef stew on the menu (the sauce is sensational). Hopefully come back in the fall. Us too.

Delicious regional cuisine and top service For the first, but certainly not the last, time we went to the "Emils - Wirtshaus im Stümpelstal" in Michelbach last night and were very pleasantly surprised. Everything is great, even more than that... absolutely unobtrusive, very attentive and friendly service, very nice ambience and absolutely delicious food - "LOAD & SOUL" ... the red onion chutney in particular was my personal favorite and simply delicious. - The “PASTA PFIFFI-KUSS” with fresh chanterelles and Grana Padano is also refined. We felt very comfortable and ate very well. Therefore five stars and a clear recommendation - we will be happy to come back.

Alles top, sogar mehr als das ... absolut unaufdringlich sehr aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service, sehr schönes Ambiente und absolut leckere Speisen - "LAIB & SEELE" ... hier war vor allem das Rote-Zwiebel-Chutney mein persönlicher Favorit und so köstlich - Raffiniert auch die "PASTA PFIFFI-KUSS" mit frischen Pfifferlingen und Grana Padano Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und sehr gut gegessen. Daher fünf Sterne und eine klare Empfehlung - wir werden sehr gerne wieder kommen.

I can only recommend the restaurant to everyone. The menu is varied and the food is excellent. At lunchtime I sat outside in the shade under large parasols. The naturally cloudy draft beer served in a stein was delicious. The roast beef from the region was particularly tender and tasty and the fried potatoes were as they should be. I would be happy to come back at any time.

Six of us had dinner twice in the evening. Everyone ordered different food. It came at the same time for everyone. We couldn't fault the quality; nor the service. Hardly any waiting times. Will be back and would be happy to recommend. Today we are testing the café at the market at lunchtime. Here we had to wait a bit for the hot food; but it was still OK. Our children loved the concept :-) I gave up my drink incorrectly; but transformed directly into a wish - without discussion. We can also recommend CAFÉ at the market for coffee, ice cream and snacks.

Very nice surprise in the historic heart of the village of our ancestors. Arriving by chance at 2 p.m., we were received with a smile and attentive service throughout the meal. The chef knows how to enhance a simple oyster mushroom omelette and serves his dishes generously. Lots of salads and raw vegetables to accompany. The terrace and the garden are also very pleasant. Worth the detour, we will come back on our next visit to Marburg.

We recently used the restaurant's delivery service. First of all, a big compliment to the homepage and the really well-designed ordering system. Everything went smoothly and you could pay via Paypal. The food was delivered on time and everything was packaged very well. The biggest surprise was the food. Even in the boxes, the food was beautifully presented and looked very appetizing. But we were blown away by the taste and how fresh everything tasted, despite “delivery”. All dishes were still warm. We were all very satisfied and even thrilled. If the food here tastes so good, I'm very curious about the experience directly in the restaurant. It's nice that there are places like this.
