I stumbled across it by chance online and was not disappointed. It was a delicious meal, your grandpa should be proud. The fried potatoes were crispy and not greasy at all, with delicious bacon and fresh spring onions. 👍 Mum's salad was also amazing. The service was super nice and friendly. Thanks for the great experience.

We stayed at the hotel for a weekend and also had breakfast and lunch at Emil's. Everything was local, super delicious, and super fresh. Highly recommended!

The food and service were excellent, and the ambiance was also really good. One minor criticism: it was very loud in the back room. The front room is better if you're just the two of you, like we were. Otherwise, highly recommended; we had a lovely evening.

Regional cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere with friendly service. The portion (schnitzel with chanterelle cream sauce) was generous and delicious. Even the side salad deviated from the standard in terms of flavor.

We visited EMILS in Stümpelstal and were absolutely thrilled. The food was of the highest quality, the dishes were fresh and incredibly delicious. The service was very friendly and attentive. Our dog even had a bowl of water right away, which made the visit especially pleasant. The atmosphere is super cozy – an all-around wonderful afternoon. We'll definitely be back!

There's nothing left to do but give everything 5 stars. However, it's essential to make a reservation. It's rare for a spot to be available at short notice. Unfortunately, reservations are only possible online. The food is top-quality. Mostly regional (tropical fruits and the like are difficult to find).

A quiet, beautiful garden with a very modern interior. There's a great menu for dinner, including vegetarian options. Breakfast is plentiful with plenty of choices, often featuring delicacies from the previous day.

In any case, EMILS Restaurant is highly recommended. Make an appointment just in case. We'll be back again whenever we visit our daughter in Marburg. Thank you and keep up the good work. Eight people went to dinner last night. A small birthday party.

The food was good, but you should make sure the salad is fresh; there were lettuce leaves that really shouldn't have been in a salad. I'll be back, but if it happens again, I'll send it back, even if the place is full!

The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Although the appetizer (a loaf of bread) was good, the burger with dry-aged patties was unsatisfying (relatively tough, lacking flavor, and very heavy on the stomach). I've been told before that there are big differences in the preparation of dry-aged meat. Often, the rind isn't thoroughly removed from the meat, resulting in a mixture of tender, aged meat and tough, rind. However, given the price of the burger, I assumed they worked conscientiously. My guess is that this wasn't the case here—of course, I wasn't there, so it's pure speculation... For me, the price-performance ratio wasn't right at all, which is why I'm giving this review. I wish other guests better luck with their burger or another dish...

The starter was excellent, the main course was rather poor and cold. The service was at times confused but otherwise very friendly.

I was really looking forward to the burger you posted, but it didn't have much in common with a smash burger. There was too little cheese, I really couldn't taste the caramelized onions, and the patty lacked that typical crunch. The light hint of lemon flavor was completely out of place for me. If you serve fries with it, you should consider making them a bit crispier with truffle mayo and Parmesan cheese.

Dear Emil's Wirtshaus. We were at Emil's again yesterday and had reserved a table for 13 people. A pre-ordered selection of appetizers was served, all of which were absolutely delicious. The main courses were ordered a la carte and were also delicious. The drinks, coffee, and dessert were also to our satisfaction. Very tasty food, reasonable prices, creative and classic at the same time.

That was fantastic. I'd been hoping for a schnitzel evening, as the braces finally came out of my mouth a few days before 😄. The two schnitzels with mushrooms, the salad, and the super crispy fries were a hit! Friendly service, and the wait for the food was okay, about 15 minutes. The restrooms were clean, and all in all, a very nice, filling evening. Highly recommended, and we'd be happy to go again! Thank you very much.

It's been a while since we visited. But we still wanted to review our visit. Everything about this restaurant is just perfect. The ambiance is very cozy and modern. We received very attentive and friendly service, and they always asked if everything was okay or if we had any requests. Our dog (a Golden Retriever) was also provided with water and received plenty of attention in the form of petting. He was able to move around the restaurant freely. But it wasn't crowded, so no one was bothered. The food was absolutely delicious. We had rump steak and cheese spaetzle with salad. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the side dishes were also perfect. The spaetzle were still slightly firm to the bite, nice and creamy, and had a delicious cheesy flavor, but not overwhelming. Both were delicious. We would order again and again. We will definitely be back.

Simply fantastic. We spontaneously went to Emil's to grab a bite to eat. The service was very pleasant and attentive. We felt very comfortable. The food was not only a visual highlight, but also tasted truly outstanding. The decor is modern and stylish. We'll definitely be back.

It's a real shame how little the potential of this place is being utilized. Lackluster service; we waited an hour and a half for the food. Despite the small lunch menu, what was served was unacceptable. What was advertised as risotto was ultimately just rice pudding. The portion sizes of the various dishes ranged from reasonable to children's plates. The menu stated that every dish on the lunch menu came with a free coffee. Apparently, the staff weren't aware of this; espressos and coffees were charged extra. All in all, EMILS managed to make what should have been a lovely day seem less than pleasant. We had hoped for much more.

I was there alone and was welcomed openly. For the starter (bread with 3 different dips) I was given bread for free, which I gratefully accepted so that I could finish the excellent dips :) The Kasspatzen were also very good. Conclusion: Very good food and nice service for reasonable money 👍🏻

Das Ambiente im Emils ist sehr nett. Die Ausstattung rustikal aber trotzdem modern und gemütlich, das Personal war sehr freundlich und bemüht einem einen netten Aufenthalt zu bereiten. Die Speisekarte ist gutbürgerlich. Das Essen schmeckte wie hausgemacht, so soll es sein, wenn man essen geht. Die Qualität war sehr gut und die Portionen wirklich groß. Zu meiner Freude gab es noch eine große Portion dunkler Braten Sauce kostenlos dazu. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

We stayed at the hotel and ate at Emils at the same time. Both the hotel and the inn are both recommended. You feel very welcome as a guest. The food was very tasty. We were definitely not here for the last time. It's a good thing we cycled here, otherwise you can't compensate for the delicious food. Very nice area with great bike paths.

We're in the area for a few days. But the first visit was so convincing that we went back the next day. All the dishes we had were sensationally delicious and not one-size-fits-all. The staff is super nice, helpful and gives great tips on what to try. The very best were the Wirtshaus fries and the “Grei Soß - Mayonnaise” from the starter.

Absolutely delicious food. Very well seasoned. Super tasty green sauce and delicious potatoes. The wait is a bit longer, but it's worth it. The breakfast buffet is also extensive, fresh, and reasonably priced. Keep it up!

We came here for dinner in the evening (we also stayed overnight at the hotel). Service is really good, the food is fantastic. We had the "Schweinerei" (roast with a fried egg and fried potatoes) and schnitzel with fresh mushrooms and fried potatoes. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely stop by again. I ordered half a duck with side dishes. This had hardly any meat and was overall dried out, as if it had already been heated several times. I complained about it and after about half an hour, after my friends had finished eating their dishes, I received a new portion. But this one was just as bad. The side dishes, bread dumplings and savoy cabbage vegetables were absolutely fine. I cannot recommend the restaurant.

Since I still have to take it easy after an operation and am not allowed to sit for too long, we decided to order our food from Emils to be picked up today. I have to say that we have often been there and were satisfied with the food there. The order itself went very well online. We ordered the Oberförster twice, which we had already eaten in the restaurant itself and so already had an idea of ​​the food we ordered. Unfortunately, the quality left a lot to be desired. The quantity was rather manageable, which is something you don't get from Emils. The sauce was very thin and rather tasteless and the fresh mushrooms on the menu turned out to be canned mushrooms. Overall, the quality of the food was more reminiscent of a village pub and not the quality we are used to from Emils. Too bad!

Unfortunately, yesterday's visit wasn't so successful 😔 I ordered carbonated mineral water, but was given still water. The soup was only lukewarm. It's not very nice when the waitress climbs onto one of the set tables wearing street shoes and then only wipes the surface of the table with a cloth and then reuses the cloth.

Leider war der Besuch heute nicht so erfolgreich 😔 Bestellt wurde Mineralwasser mit Kohlensäure, bekam aber stilles Wasser. Die Suppe war nur lauwarm. Wenig schön ist, wenn die Bedienung mit Straßenschuhen auf einen der eingedeckten Tische steigt und den Tisch danach nur oberflächlich abwischt.

It was our first time eating at Emils and we'll be back 👍🏻 The staff was very accommodating and nice, even though the restaurant was full (make sure to reserve a table), everything exuded a calmness that made you feel very comfortable. The food and dessert were very tasty.

There was also a very nice atmosphere and champagne on the house for the birthday. However, you have to be lucky when choosing food. The schnitzel doesn't justify the price, there is better quality elsewhere. The veal goulash, however, was inedible. The meat was tough like leather and gristly, the portion for €26 was far too small and the lamb's lettuce had brown spots and unwieldy large pieces. However, when we approached the service, they responded professionally and brought an alternative dish free of charge. Unfortunately my wife was already finished and the birthday evening was less harmonious than hoped. It's a shame because as parents you don't always have time for evenings like this. The beef roulades and red cabbage were recommended, but the gravy and fried potatoes were a bit greasy.

There are two favorite dishes: fish & chips and the Angus beef burger. The gin cocktail creations are spectacular. Emil's is a place for young people, middle-aged people and older people: mothers-in-law don't hesitate for a second when we invite them to eat at Emil's and take them with us.

We were there for the Christmas party and had a great event. I ate there for the first time that day, and what can I say about it: the food was incredibly delicious. All dishes were of top quality. The service was great and so was the location. We rented a separate room and everyone had fun. Definitely coming to eat more often now.

The food was, as usual, super delicious! The service was warm and attentive. Even if something goes wrong, action is taken very quickly and professionally. I always like to come back. The only point of criticism would be the heat in the restaurant, here one could pay more attention to a good exchange of oxygen.

The service was very friendly and accommodating, requests were taken into account and the ambience is very nice. I had salmon on pumpkin risotto, which is highly recommended.

The food was good, it just took an incredibly long time (planned party of about 20 people). The waitresses were probably overwhelmed: no further drinks were offered, some dishes from lunch were still on the table with the coffee and empty glasses/bottles were not cleared away. Too bad.
