We were privileged to spend a wonderful evening celebrating our wedding anniversary at the beautiful Waldschlösschen, where a lovingly set table awaited us in a charming setting. While the selection of dishes is limited, there's something for every taste. There's also a selection of fresh daily specials. The quality of the ingredients is evident in every bite. It was delicious! Our expectations were exceeded in every respect: food, drinks, service, and location. So, if you're looking for a special evening with the finest food and wine, you should definitely visit the Waldschlösschen. Simply the best restaurant in Marburg and the surrounding area! Atmosphere: Simply unbeatable in the summer, with a playground for our daughter practically right next to the tables but far enough away so no one is disturbed; in the winter and fall, it's simply incredibly cozy and stylishly decorated! Service: In a word, perfect. Stefan and Korashy are always in a good mood, always have the right saying and, above all, the right wine recommendation. Price/performance: By no means cheap, but the portions are filling enough to fill you up, and the quality is always simply amazing. Review: The only criticism is that the restaurant is almost always fully booked, sometimes even overbooked, which can sometimes lead to longer waits for the main course. Overall, simply our favorite restaurant, where, thanks to Stefan and Korashy, you feel like you're with "friends."

A lovely evening during our stay at the Hotel Villa Vita Rosenpark was our plan. It was to be a four-course meal in a beautiful atmosphere for me, my husband, and our therapy dog. We received a very friendly welcome and were escorted to a lovely spot and a perfectly decorated table. Unfortunately, after the exquisite appetizer and the delicious pumpkin cream soup, I developed health problems, forcing me to forgo the main course and dessert. The host offered to take the food home, so I could enjoy it the next day. Even then, it was still a delight. My husband was so enthusiastic about the meal that he has already planned a visit to the Waldschlösschen on his next visit to Marburg. We can, would like to, no, we must recommend this restaurant to connoisseurs. We would especially like to praise the excellent, polite, and friendly service. A highly professional team. Thank you very much. We will be returning.

We ate at the Waldschlösschen in Dagobertshausen last night – and I have to say: it was a real experience! The outdoor area is incredibly well-maintained; you immediately notice how much love has been put into the details. We sat outside first and really enjoyed the atmosphere – simply fantastic. The staff is super attentive and welcoming, without seeming forced. It's precisely this blend of professionalism and genuine friendliness that makes a big difference. The culinary experience was an absolute highlight: The cuisine is of a level you wouldn't have expected here – creative, perfectly crafted, and simply sublime in taste. Later, we moved inside, and there, too, the ambiance immediately captivated us: cozy, warm, and stylish at the same time. In conclusion: If you value good food, a great atmosphere, and first-class service, you shouldn't miss the Waldschlösschen. A clear recommendation – we'll definitely be back!

The location, atmosphere, and food are absolutely fantastic. You can even make a 550 km drive in your motorhome and treat yourself to this. Hofgut Dagobertshausen also has a fantastic, large parking lot where you can park your motorhome. The service loses one star. The staff can't be blamed for the numerous wasps, but they could have warned us about them beforehand. Despite a veritable invasion of wasps, they didn't even offer to change tables. We skipped dessert because the wasps would have taken it over in no time. What was also unfortunate was that, despite ordering an appetizer, no more bread was brought. That's also unfortunate when you have spreads. But overall, it's definitely worth a visit.

The food was perfect and the ambiance was lovely, but the waitress took forever to finally place our order, and then it took a very long time for our drinks to arrive. After we finished our meal and wanted dessert, it took another 40 minutes to get ours. We ordered the bill right away, but it arrived quickly.

Basically, everything was fine, except that the guests who arrived after us were immediately given drinks and a lot of service. While we ourselves hadn't had anything yet. What was incredibly annoying was the infestation of wasps outside. Otherwise, it was very, very nice and incredibly delicious.

We celebrated our wedding in an intimate setting at the Waldschlösschen in Dagobertshausen – and it was simply perfect! From start to finish, the team took excellent care of us. The service was absolutely first-class: attentive, warm, and very professional. The staff were not only friendly but also well-informed about the menu and competently answered all of our questions about the dishes. The three-course menu was a culinary highlight – lovingly prepared and beautifully presented. The atmosphere of the restaurant, nestled in nature, made our special day an unforgettable experience. A huge thank you to the entire team at the Waldschlösschen – you made our day absolutely perfect. I highly recommend it!

Addendum 07/15/25: A few weeks ago, we visited the Waldschlösschen again for a BBQ. We ordered the Duroc pork tomahawk and the US brisket. Both dishes were excellent again – we expected nothing less. The service also impressed us on our last visit – friendly, authentic, and attentive. We felt at home and would be happy to come back! 2024: The food was excellent and definitely deserves full marks. We ordered the Wiener Schnitzel, the Saltimbocca, and the Amalfi lemon tart for dessert. Everything was excellent both in terms of taste and presentation. The ambiance is very nice and you feel at home. Unfortunately, the service is a drawback. It was busy that day, and there was apparently an event upstairs. We generally understand that things might be hectic and the service needs to be quicker. Nevertheless, we felt overlooked. The main course plates remained for a long time and were only cleared away when we ordered dessert. Generally, we weren't asked if we needed anything else or anything like that. We found this a shame, as we were impressed by the other items.

The food could also be given 6 stars... Unfortunately, our table was near the entrance and in the main traffic area. What we've experienced better here before were recommendations, such as the seasonal aperitif. But overall, it was another thoroughly enjoyable evening.

I would like to thank very much, especially Mr. Saddik. Super nice and great service, unbeatable, but also everyone else, including Mr. Kabras, who made the reservation and everything was perfect. Unfortunately we couldn't go outside because of the weather. As a result, it was probably relatively full in the restaurant and relatively loud, but that's all to be overcome, the service was good. The food was great, so a great thing for our family reunion! Gladly again. I'm no longer sure whether I actually meant Mr. Korashy for the good service... Mr. Saddik or Mr. Korashy...?.... Not entirely clear...

We went to the Waldschlösschen to eat asparagus. There was very tasty, local asparagus with various side dishes to choose from. It was quiet at the table in the house, we preferred not to sit outside as it was a bit windy. The wine, a Veltiner, went well with it. It was a pleasant visit to Dagobertshausen.

Das Restaurant befindet sich in einem sicherlich hundert Jahre alten Haus, das außen wie innen sehr stilvoll her- und eingerichtet ist. Allein das zu erleben war schon ein Genuss. Zur regulären Speisekarte kam noch eine tageskarte. Die Qualität der Zutaten war extrem hoch, sei es das Huhn beim coc au vin oder das lamm bei der lammschulter, seien es die Kartoffeln, das Kartoffelgratin oder das im Ofen gegarte Gemüse. Und die Saucen stachen noch einmal mehr hervor. Die Vorspeisen, ein spargelsalat mit marinieren Erdbeeren sowie Nudeln mit spargel und Parmesan in einer sämigen sauce, waren italienisch angehaucht. Kein Wunder, der Chef hat italienische Bezüge, wie er uns - ganz der Patron - bei einem netten Plausch am Tisch erzählte. Dazu durfte ich einen Blick in den Weinkeller und das Raritätenkabinett werfen, ein Erlebnis, wenn man ein Faible für hochwertigen Wein hat. Die Weinkarte ist extrem umfangreich, sehr gut ausgesucht, hochwertige deutsche winzer aus der ersten Reihe, ebenso Österreich und Italien, viel californien, Frankreich zurückhaltend. Einige gut ausgesuchte Weine im offenen Ausschank, aber eine Flasche eines zehn Jahre alten spätburgunders von Dr. Heger vom kaiserstuhl war zu den Hauptgerichten ein muss. Weinherz, was willst du mehr! Sehr aufmerksamer, aber zurückhaltender Service.

Cozy regal cottage-like restaurant. Service is outstanding with staff being very attentive to our table. The high quality and flavor combinations of the dishes justify prices being on the higher end but still within reason. The “Coq au Vin” and the “Linsen-Tomatensugo” were amongst the winners. The family & friends “spring time” menu was also really diverse and filling. Definitely recommend the “Waldschlösschens warmer Kuchen” for dessert lovers. Overall, a really good restaurant experience if you’re close by the area.
