Very tasty food and friendly staff✨

We were there with a group of 10 people and wanted to have a few cold drinks. After taking the order, the boss came and turned us away without another word.

Typical German restaurant. The food and the beer were amazing. The server was also very good - quick and kind.

Although there were a lot of free tables in the outdoor dining area, we were immediately shooed back up after taking our seats. The reason was that the staff noticed that we only wanted to order drinks. We were literally thrown out with very unkind words. Every star is one star too many.

A really, really good restaurant where everything is just right. Were here for the third time now. Food fresh and very tasty, staff very nice. Always happy. Kind regards, Klaus

Since we just wanted something to drink, we had to give up our seats because, according to the landlord, it was a restaurant. There's nothing more to say, got up and went to the restaurant above.

Nowhere else in Marburg can you eat so well and comfortably. Super nice staff and authentic German cuisine. I can only recommend it.

We spent 5 days in beautiful Marburg and had dinner at the Ratsschänke twice. The food was super tasty and a lot of it was homemade. The innkeepers are warm and the two girls at the service are also very nice. You simply have to recommend the restaurant. If there were 10 stars to be awarded, we would give them to the Ratsschänke. Keep it up!!!

Everything was okay, but I found the portions to be quite small for the price. The salads could have been a little richer.

Even though there were empty tables and there were six of us, we weren't allowed to sit outside because we just wanted something to drink. Even when we asked, the innkeeper didn't come to explain this to us. We felt sorry for the service. Instead, we sat down in a café upstairs, drank a bit, even ate something, enjoyed the friendly service and laughed at the empty tables in the Ratsschänke.

I would have given 10 stars too. Perfect!

I would like to address constructive criticism. Yesterday we had dinner on the terrace. The ladies in service were super nice and everything was perfect. But about the meal, which took 1 hour: I don't understand why you pour the mushroom cream sauce directly onto the schnitzel, I would have a small one Wish gravy boat. Because by the time you had eaten the whole schnitzel, the breading was completely soggy. (also the mushrooms looked like they came from a can, that's not an assumption, it just looked that way, I could be wrong) But if that is the case, please change it. About the salad (we both really didn't like it, maybe that was bad luck or just a matter of taste) But: why is it served on a cheap white plate? A small bowl would be so much nicer to look at and also just easier to eat. The whole thing was reminiscent of hospital food. A pity. My partner liked the main course (roulade) quite well, but for me the sauce with the mushrooms was also very salty. The fact that you can't put a tip on the card is stupid and also outdated, because I would have liked to give the waitress the 10% she deserved, but unfortunately I had almost no cash left. In order to be more employee-friendly, it is time to change that.

Restaurant to feel good and enjoy delicious German cuisine. We had the cream schnitzel and it was just right. Simply delicious. We'll come back on our next visit to Marburg :).

I've been there twice for lunch so far (since I unfortunately live a little further away), but I wasn't disappointed both times. The food (home cooking in a cozy atmosphere) was very good (the same goes for the wine) and the service was professional and very warm at the same time. In retrospect, we weren't surprised that the restaurant was recommended to us by locals. A visit is 100% worth it!!

We were 3 people. Stopped in spontaneously and was shown a table in a friendly manner. A small cozy restaurant. Nice service and the food tasted very good and was plentiful. Cheese spaetzle with fried onions with a salad plate, roast pork in black beer sauce with bread dumplings with a salad plate, a venison sausage with sweet potato mash and fried onions. Everything was very tasty and great for the price. Gladly again

Kleines uriges Lokal mit sehr gutem Essen, angemessene Preise

Ein sehr schönes kleines und feines Restaurant. Sehr nette Bedienung und gute Auswahl an Essen, leckeres Essen. Mittagszeit kann man drin sitzen ab 17.30 Uhr draußen.

Uriges, kleines Altstadt-Restaurant. Gemütlich, sehr lecker und eine gut sortierte Speisekarte

Das Essen war in Ordnung, nicht hervorragend aber zu meckern gab es nicht viel, nur die Portionen waren eher klein. Dafür waren die Preise ganz schon happig. Besonders unangehenem war der Besitzer. Er war schmuddelig gekleidet und stand die ganze Zeit ca. zwei Meter neben unserem Tisch. Das Lokal ist sehr klein und hat insgesamt nur 7-8 Tische, trotzdem hätte er sicher einen besseren Platz finden können. Der Bedienungshilfe hat er verboten, sich hinzusetzen, da das blöd aussähe. Dir stand stand stattdessen dann quasi direkt an unserem Tisch. Das sorgte für eine sehr unangenehme Atmosphäre, fehlende Musik sorgte für unangenehme Stulle in dieser Situation, man traute sich kaum zu unterhalten da fremde Menschen direkt neben einem standen und einen beim Essen beobachtet haben. Dass der Besitzer noch versuchte, zwei weitere Gäste an unserem Tisch (4 Stühle) zu platzieren, setzte dem Ganzen die Krone auf. Selten schreibe ich negative Rezensionen, aber auch selten habe ich mich so unwohl gefühlt. Kann ich absolut nicht empfehlen!

Dieses kleine, aber feine Resraurant kann ich nur jedem ans Herz legen der in Marburg essen gehen möchte. Die beste Zeit ist Abends, sofern man noch draußen sitzen kann. Die Bedingung ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen war sehr, sehr lecker.

Gut bürgerliche deutsche Küche. Super Lage am Marktplatz. Den Service des jungen Herren fanden wir auch super nett & zuvorkommend. Wartezeit auf die Bestellung fast 40min. Nun zum Essen: zum einen gabs den Schwarzbierbraten (15,90€), zum anderen ein Schnitzel Wiener Art mit Pommes (15,50€), da um 19Uhr leider kein Kartoffelsalat mehr vorhanden war. Der Braten war soweit ganz lecker, etwas Würze hat gefehlt. Kann man ohne Bedenken essen. Das Schnitzel wiederum wurde langweilig mit 4 kleinen Salatblättchen serviert, war recht zäh & dazu gab's nicht mal bei einer 40€ Bestellung Ketchup oder Mayo dazu. Diese wurden mit je 50ct abgerechnet und gab's in einer kleinen Plastiktüte. Die (standard-tiefkühl) Pommes gab's extra in einer kleinen Schale dazu. Das ganze sah echt lieblos aus. Mein Verbesserungsvorschlag wäre, dass alles zusammen auf einen Teller zu tun, auch incl Vorspeisensalat und Mayo/Ketchup in Waffelschalen dazuzustellen. Schaut doch viel besser aus! Geht doch gern mal ins Sudhaus und schaut nach, wie ein Schnitzel serviert werden kann.. Stand jetzt kommen wir nicht wieder

Die Menge auf dem Teller ist übersichtlich und dafür zu teuer. In den Käsespätzle mit Speck fehlte der Speck. Der Ratsherrentopf war geschmacklich gut, nur leider für den Preis zu wenig . Ausgehungerte Radfahrer oder Wanderer sollten sich hier nicht zuviel versprechen. Leider wurden Teller schon abgeräumt obwohl am Tisch noch gegessen wurde, so etwas kenne ich nur aus asiatischen Restaurants mit Buffet. Ansonsten ein schönes Restaurant, gut gelegen so wie man sich eine Ratsschänke vorstellt.

Ein tolles und gemütliches Restaurant in der Marburger Oberstadt. Sehr netter Service, tolles Essen und das inmitten von Marburg. Man fühlte sich rundum gut umsorgt, das Essen ließ nicht lange auf sich warten und die Portionen sind sehr gut. Alle vom Team waren gut gelaunt. Ein insgesamt tolles Restauranterlebnis.

Dieses Restaurant hat meinen Gaumen sehr beglückt. Durch den Kausalzusammenhang zwischen stilvollem Ambiente und überaus freundlicher Bedienung war mein Restaurantbesuch ein einzigartiges Erlebnis. Das Essen war auf gutdeutsch ein „Schmackofatz“ :). Für mich eine glasklare Empfehlung meinerseits.

Ein nettes kleines Restaurant. Personal war zuvorkommend. Essen war nicht schlecht, aber auch nicht ganz so gut. Einen halben Punkt würde ich abziehen. Es ist aber auch Geschmacksache. Jeder urteilt anders.

Kleines Familiengeführtes Restaurant mit gut bürgerlicher Küche. Hier stehen noch die Großeltern mit in der Küche und hinter der Theke. Top Qualität der Speisen, frische regionale Lebensmittel und Kellner die immer auf Zack sind. Im Sommer kann man auf dem Marktplatz sitzen und im Winter schön kuschelig im kleinen Restaurant. €€ Preislich für Marburger Oberstadt absolut super! 2 Getränke/Vorspeise/ Hauptgericht unter 50€

Die Bedienung war sehr nett. Essen war OK, aber nicht top und die Portion war auch übersichtlich. Die Atmosphäre war aber nett.

Fantastisches Essen, sowie Aussicht auf den Marktplatz. Insbesondere die Sauce Hollandaise zum Spargel. Hier wird jeder, der Hollandaise eigentlich nicht mag, zum Hollandaise-Liebhaber konvertiert. Hier ist hausgemacht wirklich noch hausgemacht - fabelhaft!

Sehr nettes kleines Restaurant, mit rustikalem Interieur. Sehr leckeres Essen, was auch nach angemessener Zeit an den Tisch gebracht wurde und heiß war. Leider gab es an dem Tag nur noch eine Spargelportion, was aber mit anderen öeckeren Gerichten entschädigt wurde. Gerne wieder.

Super tolles Restaurant. Im Geschmack kaum zu topen! Egal was man hier bestellt... es ist ein Highlight! Die Preise sind der Qualität angepasst und vollkommen in Ordnung. Der Service ist manchmal etwas "verpeilt" aber dies ist vollkommen hinnehmbar und amüsant. Da es hier nur wenige Tische gibt, ist eine Reservierung meist ein Muss! Wir gehen immer auf gut Glück hin :-)
