We were in Chemnitz for an event and had previously eaten here at the Braumeister. Unfortunately, it's an outdated restaurant, which isn't a bad thing in itself, but now comes the BUT. It was extremely cold, we were the only guests along with two other people. I can understand that the costs are very high - for not even a handful of guests - to heat, but it's no fun to sit and eat in the cold. The restaurant is very rustic and has stood in its time, unfortunately also in its cleanliness. In the dining room it smelled musty and somehow like "old people". The toilet and the toilet area have not been cleaned for a long time.
The food was very good, there were homemade schnitzels and vegetables and more than filling for the price. It's just a shame that the restaurant is struggling so much due to a lack of staff that things are looking rather bad for it to continue. The owner/waiter was very nice. We wish her and the restaurant all the best.
Once again, the inn is closed contrary to the opening times stated on the Internet and only a note on the door indicates this.
Maximum UNRELIABLE OPENING HOURS, therefore not recommended.
It's a shame, because the food and the ambience would be recommended...
On Saturday we held the funeral service for my father, who unfortunately died much too early, in this restaurant.
Everything went just great.
The owner of this restaurant, his wife and his daughter are wonderful people with a big heart.
They are very attentive to customers.
The service was first class.
The food was delicious.
It was very clean and cozy.
I highly recommend it.
There is no comparison to the times of the Wall, almost exclusively only sloppy frozen dishes, served lukewarm and carelessly. The “Forest Guardian” snack plate used to be in great demand. Of course you can still stop by there, but it is no longer the typical “Hutzen atmosphere” of yesteryear. The ambience has also changed a lot. It's just not like it was before the "bereavement." Nobody will sit down and gulp down 10 half liters of “Wernesbacher” anymore. That's how times changed in the "'blooming landscapes''. Thank you Hellmut.👎
Ich kann jedem empfehlen. Sehr gute essen, nette und kompetente Bedienung. Sehr gute Atmosphäre. Obwohl war voll Essen kamm sehr schnell. Es war ein gelungener Abend.
We received a very friendly welcome and were shown our table. Today there was buffet food in the Klapperturm. As a starter there was a very tasty asparagus cream soup with lots of asparagus. The buffet was very good with local game and schnitzel and roasts. The side dishes were very harmonious and the red cabbage was simply top class. For dessert there was delicious ice cream with cream and fresh strawberries 🍓
For me it's five stars plus 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 + the price-performance ratio is uniquely good 👍
