Landgasthaus Zum Klapperturm in Einbeck

I don't know where some of these reviewers have been!?! Certainly not at the Klapperturm. We were there for Christmas dinner on December 25th... a disaster!!! Of the meat options, only two were edible, the dumplings were stuck together in an unidentifiable mush, and the potatoes were raw!! And the sauces came from packets. The service staff was completely overwhelmed!!! For me, that was the first and last time!

We had lunch there yesterday; the food was very good and fairly priced. The service and owner were very friendly. We'd gladly come again.

The latest publications from the health department clearly reflect user reviews regarding cleanliness and hygiene, even behind the scenes. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone I like.

The value for money and, above all, the outstanding quality of the food are unmatched anywhere else. In 2024 and 2025 alone, we ate there a total of 10 times on Sundays for the buffet. We've never had a single complaint, not even a small one. High praise to Mr. Reese and his team.

We dropped in quite spontaneously. And we were treated to a delicious meal.

I was there a few hours ago and I have to say I didn't like the atmosphere. It's very quiet, there's no music, and you can clearly hear what the next table is saying. I find that really awful. The atmosphere is absolutely uninviting, and what's been described here about the windowsills is true. Cleanliness leaves much to be desired. We had reserved a table for three people, but one of us got sick, so the two of us went. We were initially shown to a different table than planned and then sent away again a short time later because it was a regular spot for customers who were apparently still to come. I found that quite rude. We ended up sitting at the table we had reserved. The staff wasn't accommodating. You have to ask for a drink yourself, and they don't ask if you enjoyed your meal. A "please" or "thank you" is missing. You get the feeling you're not welcome. In fact, I felt like I was in a retirement home at lunchtime; that's how the atmosphere was. But the elderly residents didn't seem to mind at all. The restrooms are very old and the place feels cold and unwelcoming. The food is okay, the portions are adequate, and with soup as a starter and dessert, it was perfectly acceptable for the price. My partner and I ordered a 0.3-liter shandy, but the glass was less than half full of shandy; the rest was a swig of beer. It wasn't even full enough to be full (even with the beer). I don't usually write reviews, but I couldn't overlook this. We won't be returning to this place.

Today, for the first time in a long time, I visited the Klapperturm restaurant with great anticipation, but unfortunately, I was disappointed, except for the food (which is actually the deciding factor). A table was reserved by phone, so that worked out so far. But what followed was a complete failure: After a few minutes of waiting expectantly at the counter, the waitress finally came chewing from the background, and we explained who we were, etc. After being assigned a seat, we made ourselves comfortable and waited to place our drink order: NO WAY. Instead, the soup was served immediately without a word. As the waitress walked away, I was able to quickly place my order. Well, that's how it continued throughout my entire stay. By the way, the measuring line on a glass is overrated...in German: it's enough if the foam from the Alster reaches the line. The positive thing was the food; it wasn't sensational, but it deserved a grade of 3, and the price was also okay. Finally, a quick tip: If you have a feather duster in the dining room, it's worth taking it out in daylight and using it. As I said, the food is really the deciding factor, but everything else has to be just right too! If you're going to spend money and go out to eat, you want to feel comfortable and welcome. Sorry, but that's not going to be a good fit for another visit.

We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our table. Today we had a buffet at the Klapperturm. The starter was a delicious asparagus cream soup with plenty of asparagus. The buffet was very good, with regional game, schnitzel, and roast. The side dishes were very harmonious, and the red cabbage was simply top-notch. For dessert, there was delicious ice cream with whipped cream and fresh strawberries 🍓 For me, it's five stars plus 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 + the value for money is exceptionally good 👍

We've gotten takeaway several times before, and it's always been good, with soup and dessert. This time we ate the set menu in-house, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment. They barely refilled the food, some of it good, some of it bad. The service was good.

Celebrated a birthday there today. There was buffet food. Unfortunately, a lot of things are just lukewarm for me. I found the roulades a bit tough. If people asked for drinks more often, they could generate more sales. For dessert our company had, among other things, red jelly. But what was that? The color was purple and the fruit was mixed canned fruit. The atmosphere is very nice and the conditions are friendly.

The landlord and the waitresses were very friendly and helpful, the food was also very good, I can definitely recommend it, just try it out for brunch on Sundays!! What turned out to be a little worse was that only the landlord took the money, so unfortunately the conditions didn't get any tips!!

Nie wieder. Hab dem Restaurant noch mal eine Chance gegeben. Aber das ging gar nicht. Ein Dreck in der Fensterbank, alles voller toter Fliegen, Spinnen und anderes Getier. Die Fenster zugesponnen und die Blumen, wenn man das so bezeichnen möchte, haben es auch schon länger hinter sich. Zum Essen.... es ging so. Das Fleisch war im großen und ganzen ganz gut. Verschiedene Sorten, z. B Rinder u Schweinebraten, Wild. Als Gemüse gab's zerkochten Rosenkohl(mehr Brei), Bohnen und einen fast rohen Blumenkohl, der dann zurück ging. Auf Spargel musste man warten. Die Gäste die später kamen kriegten gar keinen mehr. Also, für mich war es der letzte Besuch. Am schlimmsten war der Dreck mit dem es schon draußen vor der Tür los ging . Ekel mich jetzt noch.

Ich habe soetwas noch nicht erlebt. Keine Speisekarte, kein Licht im Raum, keine Musik, Kellner liest im Gastraum Zeitung, es wurde nicht mal gefragt, ob das Essen geschmeckt hat. Essen war zwar frisch aber sehr fettig. Sorry aber das geht garnicht.

Wir waren heute zum Oster Mittagsbuffet dort und waren enttäuscht. Das Essen war nur mäßig warm, das angebotene Fleisch war totgekocht und trocken, ebenso das Gemüse, das kurz vor der Stufe "püriert" stand. Zudem kam mir das ganze Ambiente wie eine Massenabfertigung vor. Außerdem lässt die Sauberkeit zu wünschen übrig, in der Fensterbank tummelten sich Staubmäuse, ein absolutes No go.

Wir sind sehr zufrieden gewesen. Die Zitronencreme wie bei Oma, Schnitzel sehr lecker‘ Wir haben uns sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Wir werden wieder kommen :)

Wir waren zum Sonntagsmenu als Büffet dort und wer deutsche Küche liebt, bekommt hier alles was der Magen begehrt: Ein Traum! Absolut empfehlenswert!

Hausmannskost vom feinsten, ein Besuch wert

Super leckere, frische und saisonale Hausmannskost. Top Preisleistungsverhältnis. Man darf sich bloß nicht vom ersten Eindruck täuschen lassen, denn in diesem Restaurant wird tatsächlich komplett frisch und vorallem selbst gekocht. Genauso mega waren unsere Dessert, welche aus den vom Inhaber selbst geernteten Früchten bestand. Wir kommen wieder :o)

Gut bürgerliches Essen. Der Wirt war wirklich sehr aufmerksam. Gerade die ruhige Atmosphäre war schön. Definitiv weiter zu empfehlen. 👍

Selten so schlecht gegessen. Keine angenehme Atmosphäre und das Essen auch eher trocken und lauwarm. Ich habe noch nie soviel Geld für Buffet bezahlt, und dann doch nur einen Teller gegessen. Das ältere Publikum, welches das Gasthaus hier besucht, scheint das wohl weniger zu stören. Zeitweise kam ich mir bei dem Ambiente vor, als wäre ich kurzerhand auf dem Mittagessen einer Seniorenfreizeit zu Gast. Absolut nicht empfehlenswert.

Wir waren zu viert an einem Sonntag zum Buffet-essen anwesend. Da Ambiente ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Wie auch das Publikum. Das Mobiliar würde ich als "gut bürgerlich" bezeichnen. Die Fenster waren etwas dreckig und die Gardinen/Vorhänge sahen etwas ranzig aus. Das Restaurant war relativ gut besucht, und es gab leider keinerlei Musik im Hintergrund. Niemand traute sich, sich zu unterhalten, und man verstand jedes Wort von jedem Tisch. Die Bedienung war, was die Getränke anging recht flott. Dann war es das aber auch schon... man musste das Personal aktiv ansprechen, um etwas bestellen zu können. Auch als wir mit dem essen fertig waren, räumte niemand ab. Bei leeren Teller und leeren Gläser sollten eigentlich jedem Gastronom klar sein, dass etwas passieren muss. Hier allerdings nicht.... das Personal lief bestimmt 10 mal an unserem "leeren" Tisch vorbei. Nun aber zum wichtigsten, dem Buffet. Es war wirklich sehr überschaubar. Es gab 3 Sorten Fleisch und etwas Gemüse dazu. An der Seite lag noch etwas Brot, was sehr verloren aussah. Das Fleisch war total verkocht und furztrocken. Mit viel Soße ging es dann aber doch. Es gab einen schönen großen Blumenkohl mit Bohnen und Brokkoli. Ich weiß nicht, ob das ältere Publikum aufgrund fehlender Zähne, die Zubereitung gut findet. Aber auch das gesamte Gemüse war verkocht. Kauen brauchte man nicht. Ein bisschen mit der Zunge im Mund umher gerührt, schon konnte man es problemlos runterschlucken. Das einzig wirklich positive war der Nachtisch! Es gab Früchte mit Quark?! (Tut mir leid, kann mich gerade nicht genau erinnern) Aber es schmeckte wirklich sehr gut. Pro Person zahlten wir über 15 euro + Getränke. Das war unserer Meinung nach absolut überteuert! Auch der nicht vorhandene Service lädt nicht zum wiederkommen ein. Wir werden dieses Restaurant nicht wieder besuchen.

Um den alten Landwehrturm herum wurde diese tolle Gaststätte gestaltet.

Das Essen hat geschmeckt, das Verhältnis Preis/Leistung war ok. Der Service ließ leider zu wünschen übrig.

Preis/Leistung für das Essen ok, aber eineingalb Std. auf das Essen gewartet und dann kam die Hauptmahlzeit und etwas später die Vorsuppe. Trotz Tischbestellung war eine viertel Std. nach betreten der Gaststätte keine Bedienung da.

Wir hatten hier eine Goldene Hochzeit gefeiert. Das Essen war sehr gut, die Bedienung nett und das Ambiente stimmig. Ich habe gehört, dass dort auch Vorträge zu verschiedenen Themen stattfinden sollen. Dazu habe ich aber keine eigenen Erfahrungswerte. Jedenfalls mir hat's dort gefallen. Au h die Toiletten waren sehr sauber. 👍😀

Sonntags sehr umfangreiches, abwechselndes, Mittagsbuffet. Immer sehr lecker. Kann ich nur empfehlen.
