We are restaurateurs ourselves and have to confirm again and again that the duck dishes are by far the best in our region!
Many thanks especially to the boss of the house! Always friendly!
Always hardworking!
Greetings from the corner!
Really stable doener. The chicken is wonderfully seasoned.
The herb sauce I chose enhanced the taste of the doner to my liking.
All other ingredients were also very fresh!
The bread must have come from our own production, I have never seen a shape like this before - and it tasted much better!
I don't want to comment further on the ambience, because it doesn't matter in this case.
I received a tasty doner with super friendly "service" from the owner's daughter?!?
I would love to come back!
A few years ago I tried three takeout meals. Since my original 3-star rating does not appear to meet the guidelines, I would now like to revise it. In my opinion, there are significantly better alternatives for most of the dishes on offer in Einbeck. An exception is the chicken biryani, which I found really good.
Although my croque, which cost around €10, was missing a third of the toppings, I'm giving it 4 stars because the older gentleman who runs the shop is very nice and personable, I feel sorry for him that the shop is "not doing so well", and the croque I ordered was otherwise OK in terms of taste. I live nearby and go there almost every day and am often surprised that you hardly ever see a customer in the shop. At some point the opening hours were reduced from 7 hours a day, 6 days a week (Monday - Saturday, 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.) to 3 hours a day, 5 days (Monday - Friday, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.). Well, at some point hunger and curiosity drove me in. I found the selection of croque toppings pretty limited. special (croque with "chicken sausage pan", for example) but okay, that's a matter of taste of course. Maybe 2-3 "classics" (e.g. ham/cheese/pineapple/salad always works) and thus a bit more choice would be good. Because the idea of offering croques, wraps and crêpes is really good, in a city that now seems to have 100 pizza/kebab shops. The prices (at least for the croques) are definitely excessive, sorry. The prices are about the same as Subway (if you convert the croque size accordingly), although the things at Subway have a lot more toppings. Even if Mr. Croque has all the ingredients that should be on the menu, it's a lot less than at Subway. Unfortunately, as I said at the beginning, that wasn't the case for me. 2 of the 6 ingredients were missing (cheese and peppers), which I only noticed at home after I looked at the menu again to see what should have been on it. It's a shame, the shop had a good idea, but it was implemented sub-optimally.
It tastes good, but the portions leave a lot to be desired for the money. The pizza dough is so thin, it feels like you're only eating the toppings. Salad hardly any tomatoes, just a few greens and a few onion rings, I get that cheaper at marktkauf
Nico, it's a shame
P.S.
Pizza bread with garlic for 7 euros is mega exaggerated. I'd rather order somewhere else ciao
Put an ad in the newspaper yesterday saying that you can eat cake there on the weekend and then it won't be open as advertised. We and a few others who stood with us in front of the closed door were disappointed. Too bad!
We were here on a Saturday evening and loved it! Everything was fine. Such nice and warm people. There's a very large selection on the menu and everything we ordered tasted great, plus the portions were nice and big. What we also liked was the atmosphere in the restaurant, it was lively and loud, loud conversations and laughter, a feel-good atmosphere.
Thank you for the good food and the lovely evening!
