The Alteburg is a top location if you're looking for a suitable space for a large family celebration or birthday party. The owners are incredibly welcoming and offer very competent advice, and their experience allows them to be very forward-thinking! The beer garden combined with the hall means there's a solution for all eventualities when the weather is good. The price is more than fair! I wholeheartedly recommend it! We like to go there in the summer, but mostly just to have a nice, enjoyable drink. I don't recommend the food. The food was worlds better a few years ago. It's a little more expensive but you have a beautiful view. We love being here!

Wir waren als Gruppe mit Vorbestellung dort, Essensauswahl klein, aber dafür war das Essen toll und sehr günstig. Getränke: Auswahl an Cocktails sehr innovativ, die empfohlenen Cocktails waren sehr lecker. Haben im Biergarten gesessen, es kam immer jemand und hat neue Bestellungen aufgenommen bzw. Getränke gebracht, ein sehr gelungener Abend.

Very nice ambience, very friendly staff, and the consistently best home-style cuisine (in my opinion better than in all Cologne breweries) makes it one of our favorite restaurants. Plus a Päffgen Kölsch...what more could you want?!

Simply not recommended! I was actually looking forward to it, but the cake was simply inedibly sweet. But what was even worse was the smell of the dishes and cutlery. When asked about this, the waitress was quite upset and said that there was nothing wrong with the cake, after all, she had eaten it too. She then billed me for this. When asked about this, she said that she would call the police if I didn't pay for the cake. Since that was too stupid for me, I paid for the inedible cake and the terrible-smelling cutlery. One thing is clear: never again! And it was extremely cold, which no one seemed to care about. Unfortunately, one star is too much!

Food was super disgusting, both had a currywurst with fries and sauce, a cheap paprika sauce didn't fit at all and the sausage was just dry. Got 1 star because the beer and the waiter were good.
