The food was very tasty, but it is not cheap. We spent around 30 euros per person and some of us were still a bit hungry afterwards as the portions are quite small. Unfortunately, the service was overwhelmed that day – too many guests and not enough staff. Nevertheless, I can recommend the restaurant.

One star for the ambience and the nice Turkish waiter. Everything doesn't always have to be perfect, but you can expect a little competence, tact and humanity. Criticism is taken personally and then waiters decide to stop serving you and express this unabashedly with the words “It's done for me to serve you, you're dissatisfied with me anyway and you're my last table anyway”. But accepting tips is possible. Senior staff does not work in a customer-oriented manner, no longer allows the waitress to serve us and refuses the drinks we ordered. Even though the waitress took the order incorrectly, the guest was not met. First and last time. Rude and rude behavior.

That was the second and last visit to the Bauer Wilm's restaurant. Let's start with the ambience. Nice location in the middle of Wittringen. The furnishings are rustic but still very beautiful, especially the real wood tables are a real eye-catcher. Unfortunately, some of the chairs are thrown together and dirty. The lighting on the ceiling flickers and the table lighting is improvised with floor lamps. Nevertheless, the restaurant initially seems inviting. The toilet is a disaster and seems to only be cleaned irregularly. The food was a bad joke. The portions for our group were far too small, poorly seasoned and served carelessly. I ordered baguette with aioli as a starter. The cheapest bread sticks were served. 4 pieces in total. These were so small that the price of €4.50 was definitely not justified. The aioli was ok, but not particularly tasty. It looked like it was simply bought at the supermarket. For the main course I had the disappointing pepper schnitzel. Consisting of two small fatty schnitzels, 6 croquettes and a thin pepper sauce. Lovely, but tasted okay. The price of over €15 was once again not justified as I was still hungry after the main course. My friend's main course was ridiculous. He had pasta in tomato sauce with shrimp. Positive: The food was hot. Negative: The sauce consisted of unseasoned tomato puree and very few shrimp. My friend's meal, the Bauer Wilm's Schnitzel, was a little better. The portion was a little bigger. The hollandaise sauce was tasteless, the mushrooms were almost raw and the pommers came from a frozen bag. As an amateur home cook, I could have done a better job with this meal. The drinks were cold and delicious as usual. The service was okay, but could have been quicker and more efficient. Even though the restaurant was half empty, we had to wait a long time for service, especially for additional drinks and payment. The waiter was very friendly and helpful, but a little slow. I can't recommend anyone to visit this restaurant, especially since I've had negative experiences twice.

After a bike ride, we actually just wanted to have a small beer, but then we looked at the menu and spontaneously decided on the cheeseburger. It was tasty and the portion size was sufficient. The price is also okay. We'd love to come back.

We came there as a group, despite the stated number of people, there were 5 seats too few. A table was added. Drinks were taken quite quickly, but more like in a relaxed pub than in a restaurant, they came quite quickly. The food was still taken More like a chip shop than a restaurant. The tone was rather harsh, which was similar when the food plates were handed out. The plates are clearly laid out with no decorations and very careless. The hamburger tasted good, the fries were flabby and small and the whole thing for €14.50. The restaurant itself was very large, super loud and modern ambience. My husband had a pepper schnitzel, the sauce had no taste and looked like the goulash soup my sister-in-law had. My conclusion was that wouldn't go there a second time. Parking was a disaster.

I was there three weeks ago and wanted to reserve a table for 18 people for the end of August. But since a buffet was supposed to be set up for 40 people, I was told that it didn't fit and that we should go somewhere else. (The sound makes the music) If I Then I read that weddings, company events and birthdays can be celebrated there, I ask myself why we were "screwed away".

Were there with family and dog. The puppy first received treats, which I have never experienced before. Staff always friendly and on point. Everything was very good and highly recommended with a clear conscience.

Tried to call for half an hour to make a reservation 🤷‍♀️no one answered the phone On the off chance that I ran behind with the hope of getting a table for two people. The staff runs past you for 5 minutes without a word or a look, let alone a question 😰 When asked at the counter, because some of the tables inside and outside were empty, the overwhelmed answer came *we're full and we're out of cutlery*🤷‍♀️ but place 4 people in front of us 🥴 they're now eating with their hands 🫢 after I then the After reading reviews, we are glad we didn't leave any money behind.

Very tasty Bauer Wilms Schnitzel and a very nice ambience in the middle of the Wittringer Forest. The fries are also not oily and well seasoned. However, the place is not cheap either. Very busy on nice days, so you can't always get a seat straight away.

By chance we ended up at the “Bauer Wilms” inn today and sat in the beer garden in the beautiful weather. The service was very attentive and friendly. However, the portion of currywurst with fries I ordered was a disappointment! Fries were far too soggy and not seasoned at all and the currywurst wasn't particularly tasty either. The beer garden itself is not too big and was well attended in the nice weather.

I wanted to reserve a table for 2 people for tomorrow evening, but received a clear rejection because they only had 2 large tables left and didn't want to seat just 2 people there. But you don't want to occupy these with several groups of guests. We have eaten there regularly with the whole family, including on Christmas Day. A shop probably can't get enough of that. They will definitely never see me again! The very last thing and I wish you from the bottom of my heart that both tables remain empty!

We were visiting for the first time. There are plenty of seats inside and also a large outdoor area to sit. The menu has a manageable and varied selection, so it wasn't that easy to decide on a dish. The food came quickly and we were all very satisfied and sufficiently full. A clear recommendation for good German cuisine! Prices are mostly kept fair.

Restaurant in the excursion area. Very attentive staff. Very clean. The food (goulash soup for me and waffles for my companion) was good. I would have preferred to eat a piece of cake in the early afternoon, but unfortunately that wasn't available.

Very nice restaurant with a beer garden in Wittringen. There were three of us and we were greeted warmly and shown to our place in the “annex”. The service staff was overall very friendly and attentive. The food was freshly prepared and very tasty. Overall, the other tables were well occupied, which unfortunately led to some quite loud acoustics in this room. Parking spaces are available at the house. It was a nice evening there. Thank you for that.

The waitress/waiters are very attentive. The food is very, very tasty, except for one point of criticism. The fries were worse than at MD. But in return I received a drink of my choice as compensation. The atmosphere could be even cozier. But I felt comfortable. I would love to come back in the hope that there will be better fries (a different kind).

We had dinner there yesterday at 1 p.m.; with 4 people. We sat outside and it was very warm. The food only arrived at 2 p.m. and of 3 pieces of fillet, the pork fillet and the turkey fillet were raw on the inside!!! It was exchanged and re-served. At 3:10 p.m. we could finally order dessert. After 15 minutes vanilla ice cream with mango panacotta arrived; without a spoon. These were brought to a dingy zewa after 5 minutes when the ice cream had already melted. Vanilla ice cream with cream and hot cherries, would have a dollop of cream and 4 whole mushy glass cherries - for €5.20. Oh yes, the first glass of cola was returned because the rim was full of lipstick. The waitresses; The four of us walking around outside didn't ask if we would like something to drink and we were asked several times for drinks, which came after 30 minutes. Never again!!! Completely disorganized

This was our second time eating there with the family. In the summer and now. The food and service were great! Both the schnitzel and the goulash soup, as well as the brawn and the burgers on rye bread were great. We'd love to come back! Absolute recommendation in Gladbeck!

We had a drink outside with the bike tour group. Meanwhile EUR 5.10 for an alcohol-free wheat. Unfortunately, the waitress accidentally didn't order my wheat at the counter. Had to wait 30 minutes for my drink. We didn't eat due to time constraints.

Today I would like to update my review from 2 years ago. A very nice atmosphere. Friendly service and a very tasty schnitzel from Bauer Wilm's. Actually, I just wanted to go on a short bike ride. But the beer garden was too tempting to just drive past. The delicious farmer's plate and the ice-cold apple spritzer were served quickly. There are sufficiently stable bicycle racks on site. I think the price-performance ratio is absolutely ok.

We visited this nice restaurant with a larger group on Easter Sunday. A wide selection of food and drinks. Price-performance is just right here. The food was very delicious and filling. The service is always friendly and quick. The ambience is very tasteful and harmonious. The only negative point is that the parking situation could be better. It may well be that you can't get a parking space at the restaurant itself and therefore have to park a little further away.

We were there for the first time. The place is big, there are a lot of tables and you can sit outside. We chose indoors. Despite the many other guests, we were served quickly and drinks came very quickly. I had the cheeseburger with fries. The cheeseburger was delicious, the meat was on point, the sauce on the burger was also delicious and went well with the burger. The only thing I have to complain about, and this is just a personal feeling, is that the music was too loud for me and the radio chatter got on my nerves because you couldn't have a normal conversation at the table. Otherwise a nice restaurant with good food and friendly staff.

I called today at 11:40 a.m. and asked if we could eat outside. This was answered in the affirmative. When we got there half an hour later, they said that the boss had just locked the tables outside. Great communication, right?

How do I start, so we were expecting an old-fashioned restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised. Modern and cozy inside. The food is good, normal inn fare. Schnitzel citizen currywurst and a few home cooking dishes. Everything prepared in a modern way and completely okay for the price. It's really tasty, portions just right. It should be clear to everyone that you can't expect star cuisine here. I don't understand some of the reviews at all. The service was stressed but friendly and always attentive. Will come again

A pity!!! First of all, I have been a guest at Bauer Wilms for more than 15 years... unfortunately the downward spiral continues unceasingly. You could eat there good and reasonably priced and of reasonable quality. Service was good to very good. Over the years, the portions gradually became smaller and the dishes became noticeably cheaper, but the prices increased year after year. The service also became increasingly poor as there was a chronic understaffing. We used to enjoy visiting there regularly about twice a month...! Years ago we reduced the frequency from 2x a month to 4x a year and then to one (we called it internally) test meal! Food is rather average and service is more of a disaster (I would specifically like to emphasize the black-haired friendliness in person). You don't really feel welcome. Hospitality is different! This is how you can pamper your guests in a factory canteen..... not so much in a restaurant. Last Saturday the four of us were at Farmer Wilms. Unfortunately, nothing turned out well.... When I made my reservation over the phone, the black-haired friend at the other end cut me off when I asked with the words "Yes, well, see you Saturday." Eating unsalted fries and the lukewarm leftover... etc. The meatball from the grill plate was oversalted. Service simply did not take place as it was completely overwhelmed and still understaffed. It was almost impossible to order more drinks and when the order finally went through, it was already cleared away even though people were still eating at the table! It's a shame, we used to love being here!

Had a great lunch here with our little 2.5 year old daughter after playing and having fun at the adventure playground nearby. The service was great, the food was delicious. Ich war - eingeladen - zum ersten Mal hier. Insgesamt hat es mir und Allen gut bis sehr gut gefallen. Küche und Service hatten es auch aufgrund der vielleicht halben Belegung natürlich leicht alle Getränke sofort und das Essen nach 30 Minuten für 12 Leute ohne Fehler und in kürzester Zeit auf den Tisch zu bringen. Ich erwähne es trotzdem weil es leider heute nicht mehr selbstverständlich ist. Der Service hat sich gekümmert, war freundlich und kommunikativ. Insgesamt hörte ich nur Gutes, mein Steak war nicht mehr ganz medium rare aber noch medium und ok. Die Pommes waren bei allen kross und gut. Meine Frau berichtete zur Hollandaise einen Convenience-Verdacht. Garnelen in Aioli gut, entdarmt und passendem Knofi-Anteil. Leider hat keiner von uns bemerkt das bei den Gerichten keine Salatbeilage enthalten ist. Unser Fehler, ich hätte sonst eine kleine Portion dazubestellt. So etwas relativiert an der ein oder anderen Stelle die durchweg normalen Preise. Alles in Allem sehr solide 4 Sterne.
