Super friendly family business with an all you can eat buffet (Chinese and Mongolian) that, in contrast to many larger providers, still offers good taste. Very child friendly and always had nice service. Former pub with two bowling alleys. A bit outdated. Always happy to go there

The buffet is kept small. So this time we ordered from the menu. We were satisfied with the food and also the portions.

The restaurant is nothing special, the atmosphere is clean but very simple. Perfect for a Chinese meal.

Delicious 'German' Chinese. Taste is good. Nice price for the buffet.

Great Mongolian buffet. Not a huge selection but tasty. The a la carte food is also really great. So don't just try the buffet, but also a la carte. Really worth it.

A good Chinese - you can't go wrong there! The prices for the buffet are completely reasonable. You can also order many dishes À la carte - although the portions are really huge. Which is of course very good. About the buffet: The selection at the normal buffet isn't very huge - but it's okay. Something could change in terms of taste - most of it is quite bland. Something really needs to be done. Maybe offer variety and something new. The Mongolian buffet has a good selection! You can also get kangaroos or sharks there. Taste: meat and vegetables really good! But the sauces could have more power here too. Service is really very nice! They also have a bowling alley. All in all: recommended!

We have been going to the “Red Lotus” for years. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is friendly. The food is varied, fresh and delicious!!! Unfortunately, the eyes are always bigger than the mouth! Everyone gets full here. I'm already looking forward to the next time!!

Were there as a bowling group with 13 people. The bowling alley is quite old. Service friendly, food delicious. Unfortunately we had someone in the group who couldn't tolerate soy. Staff couldn't say exactly where what was in there. A simple portion of fries could not be ordered. Otherwise everything was great.

If you're tired of eating oversalted and raw cheap meat in a subway station where "fancy" robots replace the unmotivated employees, the Red Lotus is the right place for you. The owners are kind-hearted people who make it a point to ensure that everything is to the best of your satisfaction. The Mongolian buffet is always fresh, the meat is always well done and there is also some spiciness. For a really fair price, there is nothing to complain about.

In itself a delicious Chinese. But it was actually significantly better. The quality has decreased. Staff friendly.

Unfortunately I have to say that we are very disappointed because we were last there 10 years ago and it is no longer what it used to be. The food was either lukewarm or overcooked. Hardly seasoned and the appearance doesn't taste good. Our personal opinion. A pity

We received a very warm welcome, but unfortunately the guest room seemed very cold and outdated. The Chinese buffet is very good, good selection and very tasty. I'll try the Mongolian buffet next time, my husband liked it and the price-performance ratio is completely okay.

The buffet is rather small. However, this is not surprising since the restaurant is also rather small. The food tasted good, but I found that some of the buffet was quite cold and wasn't kept warm enough. Service is very friendly.

We come from Aachen and were in Gladbeck over the weekend. The food was excellent, the owners were extremely nice, friendly, funny and we felt so comfortable. Everything was fresh, well seasoned, always refilled immediately and the grilled food was perfect, crispy and fresh. The atmosphere is familiar, open and very warm. If we could give 6 stars we would!!! Thanks! We'll be back in May.

My family and I really enjoy Chinese food. We go out for Chinese and Asian food almost every now and then and try a new restaurant every time. This time we went here and enjoyed the food, hospitality and prices were very reasonable.

Always happy. The buffet is constantly replenished. If msn is a little empty for a moment, msn can have something grilled. It has never happened before that the buffet was completely empty, as one review here says. And we have been there many times. It is a family business with heart and the staff cannot do more than work. If someone claims the buffet is empty, please post photos of it. I think this statement is simply untrue.

Were in this restaurant for the first time. Very nice atmosphere. Food is good, you just feel like you're being watched by the waitress when you take your food and the waitress would smile a little more.

We went there because of the good reviews. I have no idea how they came about. The only thing that is true is that the staff is friendly. The buffet was not only lukewarm, but also almost empty everywhere. The only thing that was full was almost inedible and completely over-seasoned. The peanut sauce tastes just as it looks, bland. Not even the cutlery boxes were completely filled, so we were then allowed to look for things together. It was supposed to be a nice evening, but it turned out to be the biggest letdown I've ever experienced. Once and never again.

Good Chinese/Mongolian restaurant. The buffet isn't huge but everything was tasty and the service was great.

We were bowling there with six people. The bowling alley is a bit older, but the employees are very friendly and accommodating. The Chinese buffet was always well filled and the Mongolian buffet was also brought to the table promptly. The drinks always came very quickly. Conclusion: Always happy to keep it up.

Tasty but due to the size of the store there is less choice than you are used to at a buffet.

Tolles Mongolisches und Chinesisches Buffet.Es wird vor Ort am Tresen frisch gebraten was man sich aussucht. Kann von der Auswahl natürlich nicht mit den großen Restaurants mithalten aber ich mag es. Sehr freundliche und flinke Bedienung.

Das Essen ist lecker, aber leider wartet man soooo lange auf das Essen. Wir haben vorbestellt aber trotzdem mussten wir 30 Minuten warten. Das ist sehr ärgerlich.

Wir waren heute dort zum 1. mal essen. Hervorheben möchte ich zuerst, dass die Bedienung sehr freundlich und aufmerksam war. Leider hat uns das Essen von dem vorgefertigtem Buffet gar nicht geschmeckt. Ich hatte bei dem mongolischen Buffet Gemüse mit Fisch, Garnelen und eine Fischsosse zusammen gestellt, was sehr lecker war. Insgesamt fand ich die Auswahl in allem sehr gering, auch die Auswahl an Salaten. Der Reis war noch leider zu hart, selbst beim Sushi. Ich würde mich freuen, wenn der Inhaber die Gerichte wärmer und das Eis kälter halten würde. Roter Lotus wäre ansprechender, wenn das in die Jahre gekommende Restaurant restauriert würde.

Familien geführtes Restaurant. Wir hatten bereits mehrfach Essen zum Mitnehmen geholt und dies war schon lecker. Heute dann im Restaurant direkt gegessen. Zum abholen bestellt (3 Portionen Nudeln) Super unfreundlich an der Theke. Haben vor der Tür gewartet und desöfteren Blickkontakt mit der thekenkraft aufgenommen. Ca. 25 Minuten gewartet. Essen stand wohl schon ne Weile fertig da, leider hat uns trotz Blickkontakt keiner Bescheid gegeben. Bei Nachfrage auf sambal oelek gab es dann zwei kleine Portionen auf drei Gerichte. Einfach nur arm.immerhin war das Essen gut 👍🏼

Ich komme schon seit vielen Jahren hierher. Das Essen war immer gut genießbar! Die negativen Bewertungen kann ich nicht verstehen. Es kommt überall mal vor das etwas nur noch lauwarm ist, wenn es etwas länger steht. Das Personal ist super freundlich, da bin ich aus anderen Chinarestaurants oft anderes gewohnt gewesen. Für meinen Geschmack könnte das chinesische Buffet etwas reichhaltiger sein, aber es ist trotzdem von allem etwas dabei. Das mongolische Buffet ist spitze.

La cuisine était très bonne, assez bien de choix au buffet. La serveuse était sympathique mais l’ambiance du restaurant était très très étrange… nous étions seuls dans le restaurant et la serveuse (patronne il me semble) nous regardait du coin de l’œil toutes les 3 minutes, ce qui a rendu l’ambiance un peu pesant. De plus, dans les toilettes, mon compagnon est tombé sur des personnes visiblement bien alcoolisées qui faisaient vraisemblablement la fête dans le sous sol ou à l’arrière du restaurant.

Wir gehen als Paar Regelmäßig dort essen und wir können dieses Restaurant nur empfehlen. Das Personal ist freundlich und das Essen ist einfach gut. Es ist ein gemütliches Familien Restaurant. Ich kann es nur empfehlen.

Bei der telefonischen Bestellung nannte man uns eine Spanne von 50 Minuten bis zur Abholung. Ok für einen Samstagabend. Beim Eintreffen überraschte mich eine Schlange von 12 Personen, die auf ihre Bestellung warteten. Völlig unkoordiniert und überfordert beobachtete ich die Dame, die die Bestellung zusammen packte. Der Herr vor mir wartete bereits seit 45 Minuten auf seine um 17.30 bestellten Speisen für 19.00 Uhr! Und es war 19.45 Uhr! Sorry, aber dafür ist mir der Samstagabend zu schade. Wir bestellen nicht oft, und hier nie mehr wieder!

Leider sehr lange Wartezeiten bei Vorort Bestellung, der Rest...Kalt, sehr Überschaubar von den Portionen, sehr viel Füllgemüse,zusätzliche Sauce nur Wässring, Ente mit viel Knusprig wenig Fleisch,keine Reis als Beilage...Sicher ist die derzeitige Situation für alle sehr Bescheiden allerdings kann bzw. sollte man das etwas souveräner Händeln. Habe noch nie "Achtschätze" Menü gegessen ohne eine einzige Garnele. Schade

Sonntag zur besten Mittagszeit 13:00. Wir waren überrascht, was zu diesem niedrigen Preis qualitativ am Buffet geboten wurde, der Service war familiär freundlich und zuvorkommend. Danach lesen wir die zuvor abgegebenen Bewertungen und haben das Gefühl, dass hier zwei verschiedene Restaurants beurteilt wurden. Bei einem Preis von 37€ für ein 3- bis x-Gänge-Buffet, geschmacklich recht gut einschließlich Getränken für zwei Personen, aufmerksamem Service: Mehr geht nicht. Alles hat seinen Preis. Sehr empfehlenswert für Preisbewusste. Deshalb mein "ausgezeichnet". Natürlich darf man es nicht mit einem höherpreisigen Restaurant vergleichen.
