The Alteburg is a top location if you're looking for a suitable space for a large family celebration or birthday party. The owners are incredibly welcoming and offer very competent advice, and their experience allows them to be very forward-thinking! The beer garden combined with the hall means there's a solution for all eventualities when the weather is good. The price is more than fair! I wholeheartedly recommend it! A menu with home-style cuisine and some international dishes awaited us. The food was delicious and the service was friendly. My personal favorite was the marzipan creation for dessert.

We like to go there in the summer, but mostly just to have a nice, enjoyable drink. I don't recommend the food. The food was worlds better a few years ago. It's a little more expensive but you have a beautiful view. We love being here!

Wir waren als Gruppe mit Vorbestellung dort, Essensauswahl klein, aber dafür war das Essen toll und sehr günstig. Getränke: Auswahl an Cocktails sehr innovativ, die empfohlenen Cocktails waren sehr lecker. Haben im Biergarten gesessen, es kam immer jemand und hat neue Bestellungen aufgenommen bzw. Getränke gebracht, ein sehr gelungener Abend.

Very nice ambience, very friendly staff, and the consistently best home-style cuisine (in my opinion better than in all Cologne breweries) makes it one of our favorite restaurants. Plus a Päffgen Kölsch...what more could you want?!

Beautifully situated in Fredenbaumpark, pure nature

We were at Freischütz for the Carousel menu and ordered the vegan menu. Even though the menu included vegetarian dishes, we were given a completely vegan menu at our request. The food was excellent: creative, tasty vegetable dishes, beautifully presented. The wine pairing was perfect, and the service left nothing to be desired.

Unfortunately closed on Friday when the weather was great, without this being announced. €8 parking fee wasted. Annoying

Food was super disgusting, both had a currywurst with fries and sauce, a cheap paprika sauce didn't fit at all and the sausage was just dry. Got 1 star because the beer and the waiter were good.
