We spent two wonderful days at the Hotel ConventGarten before Christmas. We were very satisfied with the “Two days of wanderlust” offer in the deluxe double room. The rooms are bright and cozy, and the restaurant in the winter garden is very tastefully decorated.
The employees were consistently very friendly and attentive.
A large parking lot is available free of charge for cars. We found that very pleasant.
The hotel is also barrier-free.
The location of the hotel directly on the Kiel Canal is simply fantastic. Large and small ships pass by the house again and again, so wanderlust is guaranteed.
Tips:
In front of the hotel is the pedestrian tunnel through the canal with its gigantic escalator.
And not far away, the transporter bridge at the Rendsburg High Bridge invites you to take a very special trip (also possible by car!).
The Paradeplatz and the city of Rendsburg can easily be reached on foot.
Hervorragende Bedingungen durch Gastgeber. Obwohl nur Wein und Schokolade, herzlicher Empfang durch Mitarbeiter, hier würden wir gerne verbleiben

Unfortunately totally disappointed with the buffet. Many of the "starters and main courses" had little taste. Warm main courses: 1 pasta dish (so-so), 2-3 different pizzas, unfortunately dry and already cold, Burgundy roast, the fish, beans and baked potato pieces... we were really missing the typical Italian... Dessert was sufficient, the orange tart was very tasty.
After the meal, the waitress asked if we would like a schnapps after our meal? We agreed, but were then very surprised to find the 9.50 euros on our bill. You might then have to adapt the way you ask the question.
In general, the price of 20 euros per person is absolutely fine, but we were quite disappointed "with the Italian experience". We also needed some background music to create a cozy atmosphere.
Unfortunately for us there won't be a next time.
I am shocked at the bad taste of the meat. I bought kebab box twice and they cost €15. We couldn't eat the kebab anymore, we threw the kebab away. That was the worst kebab I've ever tried in my life. And really expensive for such bad food.
