Don't be fooled by the back/parking lot side: an inconspicuous, featureless shed that looks more like a warehouse than a restaurant. However, the very good and extensive buffet (which is refilled until the end) and the view of the ships passing by in the NOK make up for this.

Definitely the right thing for sprightly pensioners and everyone who is enthusiastic about ships. For me as a vegetarian/vegan it wasn't worth it. Good German home cooking, lots of fat, lots of animal products. Hearing the German national anthem, completely unprepared, finally drove me away. Beforehand, a few key details and the hymns of the countries of the ships were announced for various ships passing by.

I was with you today with my parents. We have been to the bridge terraces both at the weekend for the breakfast buffet and in the evening for a good fried plaice and have always been very satisfied. The atmosphere is neat and clean, the service is always friendly and the food is very good and plentiful. We always enjoy coming here.

We can only base our rating on the breakfast. Unfortunately we had to wait almost 1 1/2 hours for our breakfast. When asked, it was reported that there was a medical emergency in the kitchen and that all guests had been informed that there would be a longer waiting time. Unfortunately, we were unable to confirm this at our table or at the neighboring tables. Some guests left the restaurant when they heard about the waiting time. The service is okay, but could definitely be a bit friendlier. The waitress may not mean any harm, but the somewhat too relaxed and flippant manner is not to everyone's taste. Drinks were forgotten at several tables. In some cases tables stood for a long time with leftovers, plates, etc. after the guests had eaten and left. The breakfast is really good (when it finally comes) and the quality of the sausage, cheese, scrambled eggs, etc. is also great! Bread rolls come from the local baker. The cleanliness in the entire restaurant, as well as in the toilets as already reported, leaves a lot to be desired. Personally, we won't be visiting the restaurant again for the time being.

Great location. A great experience when ships are welcomed! But only conditionally recommended as a restaurant. The placement instead of a free choice of seats and the tattered, limp menu didn't make you want to linger, as did the long wait for food and the steep prices. The taste was fine (although I had a lot of diarrhea from the cheese-baked vegetable pan). PS: You should only visit the men's toilet (see photos) after eating, otherwise you'll leave straight away. Guys, with a hefty price level of €15 - €30 per dish, such broken, smelly toilets are simply not possible.

A wonderful start to the day, with a rich breakfast with a view of the NOK and its ships. The breakfast is more than sufficient and coffee, sparkling wine and orange juice are included. The spareribs are second to none and the friendly service made the stay an experience

Positive: View of the ships, breakfast is really inexpensive and very tasty. Service makes an effort, but unfortunately, like everywhere else, it is understaffed. Negative: unfortunately everything looks very unkempt, you have to get your own napkins, drinks like cappuccino are overpriced, a really small piece of apple pie with sauce over €7.00 is in no way justified! Service staff likes casual sayings, which are too artificial and too much of a good thing for me personally. It then seems rather clumsy and rude/snippy. And you can't understand the speaker for the ships well either. Conclusion: Recommended for breakfast. Lunch was good too, by the way. Better coffee and cake somewhere else.

We were looking forward to a nice coffee with cake but the service was slow and relatively unfriendly. We would also have liked to eat the cake with our coffee, which we got quickly, but the waitress wanted to take the order for it when we had already drunk our coffee so that it didn't get cold. More attention should also be paid to cleanliness in the café.

A unique restaurant with excellent service. we have been here several times and each time we have been very satisfied. They cook excellent food here and there is a nice view of the passing boats on the canal.

The location of the restaurant is ideal for ship lovers, with an impressive view of the passing shipping traffic. Unfortunately, the interior does not meet this high standard - the decor looks like that of a typical, somewhat uninspired excursion restaurant. On the day of our visit, the restaurant was overrun by two tour bus groups stopping for coffee and cake. The service staff was completely overwhelmed by the situation. After 20 minutes of waiting in vain for service, we left the restaurant without ordering or consuming anything.

We "just" wanted to have a piece of cake and coffee...we were refused entry (even though everything outside was free)....as only brunch is on Saturday and Sunday! It doesn't work at all 😡😡😡

Unfortunately we can't rate food or drink. After asking three times for a service person ("Colleague is coming soon!") and waiting 30 minutes, we got up and left in sight of the service person. No reaction at all...even when walking. Too bad. In the situation you could do more with it.

We love being here! Delicious food and beer and in the first row to the transporter bridge and "big pots". Unfortunately there are not enough staff, but the few do their very best and always have a funny saying on their lips. The ambience of the building is not nice and old, but you also want to sit outside. Everything rustic but beautiful!

Went there for the first time today. Even the outdoor area doesn't seem very inviting. Everything worn and dirty. The toilets smell so damn disgusting, some of the toilet doors don't hang properly anymore, the glasses are old and cheap, they can keep up with any rest stop toilet. The breakfast buffet was very meager, hardly any choice, not justified for the price. Some unfriendly service. We sat outside for another 45 minutes and, after being asked several times, were unable to place a drink order and then left. The outlook is positive.

It's a shame that this location is so run down. The parking lot itself doesn't seem very inviting and is more like a herb desert. And unfortunately things don't get any better when you turn towards the entrance. As in the interior, everything is very unkempt, dirty and worn out. After some effort, we actually went in and wanted to choose a spot we wanted. We were then “caught” by a bossy service person doing this. She wanted to make it clear to us in a mushy tone that this was unusual in the house and that we had to wait until we were seated. We then left this establishment full of outrage. We had to wait 45 minutes for a piece of cake. The price was hefty for that. Don't go to the toilet there, the doors can't be closed or can't be closed well. Plus it smells terrible in there. The waitresses fight their way through, but the process seems poorly organized.

Quite expensive, quality of the food is ok. Without the ship's welcome, I probably wouldn't stay here. The presenter really tells us a lot about the ships passing by. The service is friendly but slow, but there is always a cheeky saying on the lips. Cashing up was difficult because no one seemed to think they were responsible for us. At some point you just go to the checkout yourself. That shouldn't be the case.

Unfortunately, the currywurst with fries, which wasn't exactly cheap in terms of price, didn't have any mayonnaise as listed in the price list. Fries also more mushy like crispy. But turning back again (was taking it with me) wouldn't have made it any better. We were used to something better in recent years.

Unfortunately that was nothing! Sure, the location is great. But if you have to wait over half an hour until you can mercifully order and then after over an hour of waiting you haven't even gotten a cup of coffee... the cake that was brought out after about 75 minutes is completely mushy because the waitress didn't put two plates on it can wear once... then that can lead to the rating being pretty mediocre. Our impression: A location is resting on its laurels in terms of location and largely unique selling point (ship greeting). Too bad!

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the bridge terrace. The food was okay, but fish and chips were much better on the Kiellinie. The main point of criticism is the waiting time of 1.5 hours and that the food wasn't even hot anymore. If we had been told the expected waiting time when we called half an hour in advance, we wouldn't have gone to the restaurant in the first place. The food that was brought didn't match what was ordered 100%. Unfortunately, you couldn't tell anyone about this because only a few staff walked past and they didn't ask if everything was okay. The person in service was in a good mood at first, but when we didn't give a tip when paying despite waiting to see what had to be entered into the debit machine, the reaction was disgusting. Overall, the restaurant didn't make a good impression. Tables weren't wiped down, cutlery on the floor, toilets smelled, no toilet paper, no soap, etc. The path to the toilets also needs to be tidied up and cleaned. Worst birthday meal ever. We won't be coming back.

Nice restaurant with a large indoor area and a fairly large outdoor area with a view of the transporter bridge and the arriving ships. The service staff were super nice but a bit overwhelmed, certainly due to the thin staffing levels. The food was good. We had to wait a long time for the drinks.

This is our first time here in Rendsburg and we have inquired about the area around our hotel. We then took a long walk along the harbor and discovered the restaurant by chance. Were positively surprised. The service team was open and friendly and always had the right message on their lips. After 10 minutes someone came to take the order. Less than 15 minutes later the drinking came. And after that it didn't take long for the food to arrive. Overall it was a wonderful lunch. And no one cared that my children were running around.

You sit right where the action is happening, when the ships come by there is a lot of information and music from home. If it's full you have to be patient but it's worth it. The staff is friendly and tries to ensure that everyone is served quickly.

Food was great, we had plaice fillet with fried potatoes. Great home cooking, everything tasted good, even though it was very busy, the service was friendly, courteous and quick.
