We visited the restaurant on a Thursday evening and were amazed at how busy it was. However, without a reservation, we were assigned a table without any problems. After a short look at the menu, the friendly waitress added the drink request. The drinks arrived very promptly. The meal with starters was also served at our table in a well-timed manner. There was salad and ouzo first. The food was really good. Tender meat and the fries with perfect hardness. The tzatziki is also highly recommended. Overall, the team doesn't hesitate to buy a second or even third ouzo. The prices are on the high side, but considering the professional service and the good food, they're totally okay. Overall it was a nice visit there.

Quite a large portion, very good food and motivated service. But I have never seen such high prices from any Greek...

Now our regular restaurant. Akis is always funny, Jan is always in a good mood and very accommodating. Everyone else too, of course. Super tasty food and the portions were very generous! A great restaurant, large selection of food and very large portions! Prices for the main courses are usually between €20 and €26, but it's really worth it, the service staff are very friendly. Waiting times are absolutely not long. I would eat there again at any time.

Athens is our favorite Greek restaurant in Rendsburg. The service is very quick and friendly. Although the restaurant is often very busy, there is usually a free table. We find the gyros and bifteki platter very good and plentiful. Ouzo is served as a greeting and a farewell. We are already looking forward to the next time…

ALWAYS A FIVE STARS FROM ME! I’ve been here 5 times in one months because of not just their food but also their very warm hospitality. Athen treat us very well since our first visit, their food is also up to standards and my group and I always crave for their lamb. The restaurant is definitely worth a visit! Remember to build rapport with the owners to score more free shots!! Athen Restaurant is definitely worth more than just 1 visit :) !!!

The restaurant was very well attended. We ate there with 4 people. The service was on point. The menu offers plenty of choice, including dishes for the “small” hunger. Even the dishes were sufficient. The bifteki filled with sheep's cheese was one of the best in a long time. There was also ouzo, but I was a bit disappointed with the side salad. Dressing ok, but the salad was very chunky. But just a little thing. We will definitely eat here again in the foreseeable future. 👍👍👍👍👍

Today we spontaneously went to Arthen for dinner and were served very well by Jan. The manager of the restaurant and Jan repeatedly asked about our well-being. The atmosphere and the food are always top. Regardless of whether you come by spontaneously or with a reservation, there is always something available and you are always warmly welcomed. We like to come back again and again thanks to the great team and the delicious food.

If you like the “German version” of Greek cuisine, i.e. grilled food with fries and tzatziki, this is the place for you. Gyros and liver were on point and just perfect. It's a shame that moussaka and oven dishes aren't on the menu. What's worth highlighting is the ambience - when the weather is right, like the day I was last there, you can eat outside in a beautiful garden. The staff was very nice.

We come here at least once a month and are always thrilled. The food is excellent and always very plentiful. The owner and staff are always courteous and friendly, no matter how busy it is. A special thank you goes to our always extremely hard-working and good-humoured waiter Ronaldo. He makes every visit an experience!!!! A huge compliment to the entire team. We will remain with you.

We recently ate in Athens while passing through and are still thrilled and very full. The taste was very good and reminded me of my childhood (in a very positive way). The food came very, very quickly and the service was great. Every employee was friendly and tried hard. The prices are a little above average, but so are the portions! Ultimately, due to the large portion, the service proactively brought the bowl so that the leftovers could be taken away. Of course you can also serve slightly smaller portions and perhaps offer a larger portion for a small additional charge, but you don't have to look for a fly in the ointment 😁 Ultimately, there is nothing we would deduct points for! We would love to come back and will have great memories of Athens 🤩👌🏼

Great ambience, great food, the ouzo tastes good and the beer is top notch. I particularly like Ronaldo. I can recommend Gyrosmetaxa. The boss has an ear and an eye for the accounts. Everything is great, I'd love to come back. Best regards

Yesterday we received excellent service again in Athens. Both the landlord and the employee were attentive and very friendly. The food was delicious. The restaurant was very busy and guests arrived even after 9 p.m. Because we knew many of the guests, it was also an entertaining, happy evening.

Good food, and friendly and quick, albeit partly inexperienced, staff. Green tea was brought instead of herbal tea.

We ate in this restaurant yesterday and were absolutely thrilled. The atmosphere was stylish and inviting, you immediately felt comfortable and didn't want to leave. The waiters were attentive, friendly and extremely quick. As a vegan, I initially expected to only have a small selection, but the team gave me excellent advice and even put together an individual dish for me. My partner chose the gyro and loved it as much as I did. Despite the well-filled house, the boss personally took the time to ensure that every guest felt comfortable. So if you want to enjoy delicious Greek food in a beautiful atmosphere with a great crew, this is the right place for you. You're happy to put up with the garlic breath!

Top food, world-class service, pleasant atmosphere and invites you to have nice evenings, even in larger groups. Would recommend to anyone who is nearby.

From the outside, this restaurant, in the middle of a residential area, doesn't seem to look like much. However, this changes as soon as you take the first step into the restaurant. You are greeted warmly, as if you were a long-lost regular guest. All the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The ambience has it all. Everything is rustic and furnished with attention to detail. Everything is clean and well maintained. The food is excellent. The portions are, as usual with Greeks, very generous. However, this restaurant does not need this. Here, lack of quality does not need to be compensated for by quantity. I can recommend the grill plates, with two different types. This way you can try more variations. In contrast to other restaurants of this type, every type of meat here has its own distinctive taste. The gyro was nice and juicy and not dry. The tzatziki is also excellent. The restaurant has some seating and also a nice, spacious terrace at the back of the building, away from the street. It wasn't until we were leaving that we noticed how full the restaurant had become. It may be advisable to reserve a place for an evening so that you don't have to wait. This restaurant will definitely be visited more often.

Finally not so crowded because many people didn't know that it's open on Mondays during the holidays! 5 stars all around

Thank you for having company holidays and not writing it here, I walked 3 km to them for free in what felt like 30 degrees…. But the food was really good the Andes times.

There is no other restaurant that I know of that can be compared. I come from Lower Saxony and whenever I'm in Rendsburg I have to go to these Greeks. Price performance is unbeatable. And in all these years it hasn't lost any of its quality. Even wishes that are not on the menu will be implemented. I wanted to pack the restaurant in the trunk and take it with me to Lower Saxony. But that probably remains just a pipe dream. Anyone who reads this review and is currently in Rendsburg should eat there, because only then will you understand my enthusiasm. If it were possible, I would have given it 10 stars. My parents (the police are coming)...that's just an insider.....they've been going there 2-3 times a month for years. I too will probably be back in Rendsburg at the end of August. Keep it up
