I was there for the first time a few weeks ago, and now again, and since I liked the dish with curry mango sauce so much the first time, I ordered it again. But this time it tasted very bland. Neither curry nor mango were noticeable as a taste. And there was no trace of any spiciness anywhere! It's a shame, but that's why I backed off my initial enthusiasm.

My stay at the Hotel zum Greeken in Itzehoe was simply wonderful. This hotel impresses with its cozy and welcoming ambience, which immediately makes you feel welcome. The loving furnishings and warm atmosphere make it a perfect place to relax and unwind. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly and attentive service staff, who were always there with a smile. Every wish was fulfilled quickly and easily, which made my stay particularly pleasant. Another highlight was the warmth of the hosts, who pay great attention to detail to ensure that you feel completely at home. Surprisingly pleasant, very tasty..!! Friends from outside were enthusiastic about “our Bshnhofs•Lokal”..?? Also a great choice for wheelchair users. The corresponding toilets with Euro keys are just around the corner.

The restaurant itself is located directly in Itzehoe in a small row of shops. The ambience is rustic and invites you to stay for a long time. You immediately feel comfortable. For food, there is a small menu with selected dishes, so everything is very clear and not too overwhelming where you don't know what to eat. As a starter I had mussels in tomato sauce which tasted good, unfortunately the sauce was a bit too thin. For the main course I had pasta with beef ragout that was seasoned completely sober apart from a little spiciness, which is why it got this score. My colleague, who had the prawns with penne all arrabiata, also did the same, unfortunately too sober for an Italian dish. The prawns took too long to prepare because they were already a bit dry. The women had pizza and salad, everything was good, but honestly, what can you do with salad and pizza, both really good. The tiramisu was a real hit. The staff is very friendly and always tries to serve everyone quickly and well, which doesn't always work when you're alone and the shop is full. I would say that you should probably reconsider the price-performance ratio, because in my opinion it is a little too expensive for the food.

One star less, a little paint and renovation needed. Very good food, like at SUBWAY.

Eating with our Greek restaurant is highly recommended. The portions are very, very tasty and very good. Best Greek restaurant in Itzehoe. Others can't keep up with that. Always my pleasure. There is still an ouzo when you pick it up.
