We were there yesterday with 11 people to celebrate a birthday. The atmosphere was lovely—the fireplace room was lovely, the food was AMAZING! And the service was excellent. THANK YOU🩷

Very modern, with very attentive and friendly staff. The restaurant is a bit hidden behind a swimming pool, though. I had the gyro special with Metaxa sauce, and it was definitely one of the best I've ever had! The sauce is amazing, and the fries are crispy! Truly delicious!

Preferably zero stars. We waited 2 hours for our food, then it was delayed, and then it was raw (chicken) too! As a token of appreciation, we were supposed to offer drinks on the house, which were then billed at the end! Three other tables even complained. I ended up just having my food packed to take home. After two incorrect bills, the waitress became rude and said, "The main thing is that you pay now!" IMPOSSIBLE, never again. I've never experienced anything so bad.

I had a wonderful birthday party with 75 guests at the restaurant "Zum Griechen." The buffet was heavenly! The ingredients were exceptional, fresh, and perfectly prepared. To single out one dish from the abundance of dishes wouldn't do it all justice. All of my guests spontaneously praised the selection, presentation, and taste of the food. It's hard to put into words – it was simply delicious. The atmosphere on that summer evening was fantastic. The service was also very attentive and friendly. The staff were discreetly present throughout and always had a smile on their faces. Everything was just perfect here, from the greeting to the farewell. I had an all-around fantastic birthday party. I can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant "Zum Griechen."

Dear team at the Hotel/Restaurant 'Zum Griechen', We had a wonderful celebration with friends at your place. The organization was first-class. We also stayed with you for two nights. The food is excellent. The room is spacious, the bathroom has a shower and bathtub. Everything is very tidy and clean. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back.

It's disgusting, then I walk 2 km here and Google Maps doesn't tell me it's closed. I specifically walked here to get something to eat instead of going out. How backward are they here?

For us, it's the absolute number 1 when it comes to spending a wonderful evening with great food and very friendly service. The ambiance is very well-kept and cozy...the portions are more than sufficient, so no one goes home hungry, and yet the food isn't as clumsily presented as you'd expect at a Greek restaurant. When the weather's nice, the outdoor area is wonderfully located. We love going there...whether with small children or a dog, everyone who can behave appropriately is welcome. Keep up the good work!

We often eat here and are always impressed by the quantity and taste of the food. The waiters are always very friendly. In July, we celebrated our civil wedding here with a small group. From the planning to the reception and the food, everything was exactly as we imagined. Saskia gave us a warm welcome and put so much effort into the decor. We would celebrate here again! We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while on a wellness weekend near Itzehoe. Even the phone reservation was incredibly friendly, so we were immediately excited to visit. We received an equally warm welcome and were informed that due to illness, it might take a little longer. While we waited, we were even offered a free drink. The selection is extensive, the portions are huge, and the service was delicious! The service continued to be excellent throughout the evening, and I haven't experienced anything like it at any other restaurant. We'll definitely be back on our next wellness vacation!

The restaurant is certainly very good, and the "hotel" business is run as a side business. My room was only 9 square meters and wasn't clean, which is absolutely unacceptable. One of my previous guests had the same experience, unfortunately.

We were passing through by bike. The owner was very friendly, the room was quiet, and the room was large and clean. The breakfast was very generous, with nine rolls for two people and an overflowing cold cuts and cheese platter. We didn't visit the Greek restaurant due to time constraints, so we can't comment on the food. We can only say that the dining rooms look very cozy. M and HG

Booked a night in Itzehoe on my bike tour. Positive: Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. Oversized, delicious food in the restaurant. Room clean and quiet. Neutral: TV reception quality and channel selection left a lot to be desired. Negative: My single room was tiny, lacking soap and a hairdryer. And the rear hotel entrance looks unkempt and neglected.

Unfortunately, it was closed at lunchtime. The Greek restaurant doesn't open until 5 p.m. They're short on staff! It looks quite tempting, though.

We spontaneously went out for dinner there in the evening without a reservation. The service was nice, friendly and accommodating. The food was very tasty and plentiful. Since we weren't that hungry, we had the food packed (except the fries). Can recommend the Greek restaurant.

We come to the restaurant frequently and have always been greeted and served warmly. The dishes are all delicious and the portions are very generous. My favorite is the lamb fillet with Metaxa sauce.

Great seating on the outside terrace with a really nice view of a pond surrounded by old trees. The interior is tasteful. We always receive nice service. The food is delicious and very plentiful. What you can't eat will be well packaged and you can enjoy it the next day. You can also sit comfortably and stylishly indoors. The landlady and her employees are unique! You feel welcome here! We enjoy our stay!

My stay at the Hotel zum Griechen in Itzehoe was simply wonderful. This hotel impresses with its cozy and inviting ambiance, which immediately makes you feel welcome. In my experience one of the best restaurants in the Itzehoe area. As already mentioned a few times, the boss Saskia likes to stop by the table for a quick chat - if the traffic allows it. The truly high-quality food is worth the price (and therefore “cheap”). Plus, it's so plentiful that you can easily make two meals out of it. So take leftovers with you and enjoy them at home. 😆 We like to come here again and again.

We ate there again very tasty, the food was very good and plentiful (unfortunately we couldn't manage everything, we took the rest with us), the staff and boss were friendly, the price/performance ratio was completely justified, we'll always be back.

Wir waren heute zum Brunch beim Griechen und waren von der großen Auswahl und dem extrem leckeren Essen sehr begeistert. Vielen Dank für die super nette Bewirtung.

Wir waren mit 8 Personen angemeldet und kamen mit 7. Das Essen war super lecker und die Bedienung sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir mussten aufgrund einer Erkrankung beim Küchenpersonaö relativ lange auf unser Essen warten. Das hat uns aber nicht weiter gestört. Als Entschädigung gab es für alle eine Ouzo, als dieser kam wussten wir nicht so wirklich wofür sich entschuldigt wurde. Wir waren den Abend die letzten die gegangen sind, hätten wir uns nicht leicht beschämt entschuldigt so lange geblieben zu sein, hätten wir wohl auch noch länger gesessen. Es war jedenfalls ein wunderschöner Abend. Wir werden wieder kommen.

Yesterday the three of us went to the restaurant “Zum Griechen” for the first time. Very friendly welcome, we were then shown the rooms where we could sit. I've never had a Greek. Restaurant seen with so many tables (seating options). In summer you can also sit outside very well. There was an ouzo (alternatively Aperol) from the house beforehand. The selection of dishes is typically Greek and basically the same as the competitors... but the menu is by no means overloaded. You could also choose between rice, fries, fried potatoes and fried potatoes. The absolute surprise was the salad as a side dish, wow, even that was a generous portion and super fresh and the bread... delicious. Then came the main course, 2x gyros with souflaki, 1x additional with bifteki... very visually appealing and the quantity was great. In recent years, most restaurants have started to reduce portion sizes, but here it was so much that we could have taken some home with us (we were even offered it without asking and the guests at the neighboring tables had it). also used without exception). It's rare that I leave something left over, but at some point I couldn't do anything and it was delicious. There was even a dessert (greetings from the kitchen), we were very impressed .. everything here is really good, price/performance/portion size and super nice and attentive staff, great ambience. It couldn't be better, 5 stars. We'll definitely be back.

I had lamb fillet, fries, metaxa sauce In my opinion, too few classics for 2 people like stuffed grape leaves, pepperoni and unfortunately there was hair, I think in Taramas. Food was not charged for wine At the expense of the house Top.Very friendly crew and the atmosphere is very modern, a bit cool.Let's see what the outside seating is like.Thanks again to the friendly crew.

We spontaneously went there for dinner on a Monday. We were greeted very friendly by Tabea and were able to choose a table for us. The first impression is “wow”. All tables are decorated with real flowers. Real candles burned on every table, even though only 3 tables were occupied (5 p.m.). Great, great food and very plentiful. The boss also came to the table. Great. We were thrilled and completely satisfied. Thanks, especially to Tabea! We would love to come back and can definitely recommend the restaurant!!!

Went there today for a 70th birthday and celebrated with a really great buffet. Everything was beautifully decorated and there was something for everyone at the buffet. Even though we came from Bremen, we will definitely stop by again!

Generally: Attentive staff and very nice. This service is really great! Bravo Eat: Portion size was very large and sufficient. PRICE PERFORMANCE - TOP Eat: Gyros, meat was tasty, but unfortunately there were hardly any spices in it and some of it was very dry. Metaxa was very “hearty”, unfortunately it’s not our taste, but that’s a personal perception. First there is a salad with a small tzatziki bowl. What we didn't know was that the lettuce and its peel should be kept until the skin comes out. As a result, the tzatziki was missing from the main course. We immediately asked if we could get tzatziki with the gyros and joked “it would be stupid without it”. The response was immediate. Then on the bill comes the awakening… €6.50 for a small bowl of tzatziki. We are very understanding, but charging €6.50 for a small portion of tzatziki is already borderline. Especially because our salads had been cleared away and it looked like the tzatziki only belonged to the salad.

I'm disappointed. Sending emails aren't answered. I call and say I'm sorry. I talk to customers about whether the food tastes good, etc. What's the point? When I call again, I don't answer the phone, at least six calls

We were invited to a party at a Greek restaurant a few days ago. The food was very tasty and the service was also very nice. What bothered me was that the chair covers were broken at the corners and my cover was dirty. Either replace it or leave it out completely.

Gibt wenige Restaurants, wo alles stimmt, so wie hier. Extrem netter und aufmerksamer Service, sehr gutes Essen in mehr als ausreichenden Portionen. Im Sommer kann man schön draußen sitzen, innen gefällt aber auch.

For me the first address in Itzehoe when I want Greek food. Food delicious. Portions large. Great quality. Great hospitality.

So slow. More than 30 minutes before beer (after reminders) and 90 minutes before food. The food is good, the portions are very large, but I was very hungry and tired after driving all day, and such a long wait was truly painful. I will not return or recommend this place due to the poor service.

Quiet forest location; big portion; Prices in the slightly higher segment

Brunch in the hall, salad variations not cooled, cheese and sausage platter not cooled, boiled eggs from flabby soft to rock hard, if you order another coffee product instead of coffee (not a coffee drinker, there is another one 😉), it has been charged extremely and the price for brunch is excessive.

We were there for the first time on Good Friday. That was definitely not our last visit there. There was an aperitif beforehand and a little sweet surprise afterwards. And EVERYTHING is just GREAT ☆☆☆☆☆. We have already recommended it to our friends. The first ones were already there.
