The food is down-to-earth and tasty, but nothing “out of the ordinary”. Very stomach-churning, in a positive sense. :-) The service was a bit “irritating” at first…we were “welcomed” quite briskly…after that everything was fine. “Hard but warm” was my impression.

Great restaurant - very nice hosts, food was delicious and the restaurant was designed with attention to detail. We really enjoyed it there. The menu is relatively small, but everything is fresh and beautifully presented. If necessary, you could expand a bit here.

We ate there for the first time today and absolutely loved it. The food was really tasty. The starters pepperoni and baked zucchini, both with extremely good and perfectly seasoned tzatziki, are really a poem. The main courses, such as beef fillet with garlic sauce, the Corfu plate and the connoisseur's plate, are also absolutely delicious. We also ordered extra Metaxa sauce. The sauces are really really good, in our opinion, homemade, without any fixes or sauce thickeners. The service is particularly noteworthy, because when we canceled the side salad, our junior was approached directly and explained that he only eats carrot salad and the owner reacted really well and offered to only serve the carrot salad, which was so great because it was open We responded very well to our needs and our junior also ate the carrot salad. Conclusion: we are thrilled. And will definitely come back.

The Intense in the Palatinate is a hidden gem that has already been crowned with a Michelin star and yet remains an insider tip that effortlessly calls for more. Inconspicuous from the outside, the interior is a unique culinary experience that delights with world class and a journey through flavors and textures. Chef Benjamin Peifer and his team, including the outstanding sommelier Konstantin Baum, combine hospitality and expertise at the highest level and create an atmosphere in which every guest feels welcome and valued. The cuisine at Intense combines Japanese influences with regional ingredients, conjuring up a symbiosis of precision, lightness and deep umami complexity. This aromatic journey is masterfully coordinated so that every composition can surprise and deeply touch. The dishes are not only delicious but also visually stunning - an aesthetic marriage of elegance and artistry that is rooted in Japanese philosophy and takes on a new dimension through regional accents. The prices at Intense may be high, but every cent is an investment in an unparalleled experience. This experience of gastronomy at the highest level inevitably raises the question as to why this masterpiece has not yet been awarded three stars. The Intense offers everything that defines haute cuisine: innovation, precision and a signature that makes every visit unforgettable.

Large selection, good quality, friendly service, unfortunately inflexible for special requests (easily implemented). Prices have increased slightly, but are still within reasonable limits. Thoroughly recommended, would love to come back.

We had a wonderful evening at the Izakaya and were positively impressed by the “Weck Worschd ‘un Woi” concept. The food was convincing across the board, as it was interpreted in a modern way and had many taste surprises. The team around Julia, Maxim and Takamitsu looked after us excellently throughout the evening and the wine selection was simply perfect. Thank you for the lovely evening and we would come back to the Palatinate just for your fried potatoes.

We walked the Seebacher Klosterweg and once again took a break at the Mundhardter Hof. Here you can escape the world and the everyday hustle and bustle for a short time and still eat well. The dishes are all freshly prepared and therefore it may take a little longer, but it's nice to linger in the rustic, cozy dining room, which was also lovingly decorated for Christmas... In addition to the standard dishes, there is always a weekly menu, so you have plenty has choice. We ordered the pumpkin meatballs with carrot-parsnip cream vegetables and they were a delight and the price was also reasonable. After a nice small talk with the boss, we happily continued walking towards Dürkheim-Seebach. We are already looking forward to the next visit.
