You shouldn't actually advertise here because the Hambels Restaurant is always so fully booked that you can hardly get a seat at short notice. Honestly, it's 1000000% worth it

Great restaurant - very nice hosts, food was delicious and the restaurant was designed with attention to detail. We really enjoyed it there. The menu is relatively small, but everything is fresh and beautifully presented. If necessary, you could expand a bit here.

Good Greek, large portions and very good service

My cousin and her husband live in Wachenheim, they have eaten here before and had enjoyed the food. They were correct, the food and service were excellent. There is plenty of food, make sure you are hungry or maybe share dishes. We ate outside which was lovely as it was a beautiful evening. The only downside is that they don’t take credit cards which as many tourists are used to paying this way could cause embarrassment if they don’t have enough money with them. I wish I had taken a photo of our plates to show people how great they are.

Unfortunately you have to give one star because the food doesn't deserve it. Waited 1 1/2 hours. The food came cold and completely burnt (see pictures). I don't know what the chef means by grilled. Everything totally black. Complained over the phone and simply hung up. Never again. 😝 Addendum: Regarding the owner's response. Offer for new meal or voucher not made. He hung up straight away, thought it was good too, he probably thought about the offer.

We had a wonderful evening at the Izakaya and were positively impressed by the “Weck Worschd ‘un Woi” concept. The food was convincing across the board, as it was interpreted in a modern way and had many taste surprises. The team around Julia, Maxim and Takamitsu looked after us excellently throughout the evening and the wine selection was simply perfect. Thank you for the lovely evening and we would come back to the Palatinate just for your fried potatoes.

Wir kommen seit Jahren gerne zur Burg. Aussicht super schön und Essen in Ordnung. Aber heute war der Handkäse unterdurchschnittlich. Er kam in einer Miniportion daher, zäh wie Kaugummi und geschmacksneutral. Ich kann die schlechten Bewertungen nachvollziehen, der Pächter sollte aufpassen : Eine schöne Aussicht ist nicht alles...
