The noodles were handmade which isn’t written on the menu, they had the perfect texture, a bit bouncy not too soft but not too hard. The mapo tofu was amazing. Even the rice. The wontons in the wonton noodle soup were sooooooo good, super soft skin and a really flavourful filling. Sadly the broth was lacking a bit in flavour. Price wise it’s okay
Yes, there are a lot of sushi restaurants and in most of them you feel like you're eating an old, cheap and uncleaned plastic plate from a €1 department store.
Not at OSushi at Bachstrasse 1 in Düsseldorf.
We were there for dinner yesterday and had nothing but joy and enjoyment. Friendly welcome, the atmosphere is very modern and appealing. The lighting is comfortable and not too bright like some other restaurants. The toilets clean and modern, very nice designer and modern homely. And really liked it.
The service is courteous and friendly and responds personally to requests - great, O-Sushi, you all did a good job.
And most importantly, how was the food?
Simply excellent. It's not really fresh fish season at the moment, but O-Suschi has excellent sashimi and sushi, makis and the salmon was tender, buttery, with good taste and melted on the tongue like nothing. Fantastic. And the amounts were not homeopathic, but sufficient without causing you to burst afterwards. So perfect, something I've rarely experienced.
In summary, a 100 point rating from me because everything was very pleasant and suitable. I can only recommend O-Sushi.
And they also deliver, lucky for those who live around the corner.
And now, enjoy your meal at O-Sushi at Bachstrasse 1 in Düsseldorf.
This is the first time in the restaurant industry that I've heard a waiter say "What?" says to a guest instead of “How can I help you?” When I heard it, I felt that the waiter was impatient and unfriendly.
Back then I was looking for authentic Peking duck in the Düsseldorf area and came across this shop. The service was very good and the food was great! We ordered the Peking duck 4-course menu and everyone was thoroughly impressed. Price-performance ratio is also absolutely acceptable. I can only recommend it! :)
I've always been to Buddha Bowls here or the former one on Hunsrückenstrasse and the quality of the food has always been very good. Today I can't say the same: the tofu and vegetables were still good, but the rice was overcooked and mushy, the sauce was thick and a bit jelly-like, unlike before where it was still creamy and easy to pour into the bowl. I ladled up the sauce and found a tiny dead spider in my sauce and brought it to the employee who told me that the insects were flying everywhere outside now. It's barely spring and it feels like 8° outside. The insects are still in hell where they belong, so I'm sure the spider didn't crawl into my sauce bowl when I had it there for 3 seconds. She still gave me a new sauce, but the attitude was definitely not good. What a disappointment, never again.
Delicious and very friendly! I don't eat kebab often but the staff were very accommodating and polite to me. I felt comfortable and it tasted good. I will come again, thank you!
After my first visit for lunch had already left me with mixed impressions - the fried chicken in particular couldn't keep up with the quality of comparable addresses such as the tax office or Takumi - I wanted to give the place a second chance.
This time I chose California Rolls and a Tan Tan Ramen. Unfortunately, the disappointing picture was confirmed. The sushi was carelessly packed into a to-go packaging that was far too small, so that the individual pieces fell apart unsightly and ultimately a shapeless pile of rice was left behind. There was a complete lack of the precision and care that one would expect at a high price level like this.
The ramen was also sobering: Instead of the carefully marinated lava ice cream that is usual in Japanese ramen, there was only a plain hard-boiled egg in the shell. The taste of the minced meat was more reminiscent of supermarket products and lacked any depth or seasoning. Particularly irritating: the broth had a distinct fishy note - even though there were no fish ingredients on the menu.
Considering the high density of excellent Japanese restaurants in Düsseldorf and the quality on offer there, the prices quoted for this restaurant are too high. What is on offer lacks both craftsmanship and taste sophistication.
What remains positive is the friendly service, which made an honest effort. Unfortunately, even polite attention cannot save the overall culinary experience.
Two visits, two disappointments - I won't give the place another chance.
It's not just that you don't show that the restaurant is closed. And if you go there for no other reason, you will also be insulted. Says everything about owners and restaurants!!
