⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolut empfehlenswert! Endlich ist das Restaurant im Alten Bierhause wieder geöffnet – und wie! Ich bin begeistert. Die gut bürgerliche deutsche Küche ist nach wie vor auf absolutem Topniveau. Saftige Schnitzel, perfekt geschmorte Braten, knusprige Schweinshaxen und dazu die herrlichen hausgemachten Soßen und Beilagen – einfach himmlisch! Die Portionen sind großzügig, die Zutaten spürbar frisch und die Zubereitung wie früher: ehrlich, herzhaft und mit viel Liebe gemacht. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und traditionell, der Service freundlich und aufmerksam. Ein echter Klassiker, der zurück ist und besser denn je! Wer echte deutsche Küche liebt, muss hier unbedingt hin. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder! ❤️

A very nice, quaint restaurant that impresses with large, delicious portions and excellent service. The only downside was the small size of the room, which was always packed with guests and where the noise level was sometimes so high you could almost cut the air with a knife.

This place is absolutely overrated. Our waiter was very unfriendly and even rude. He literally wouldn't let me finish an order and snatched the menu out of my hands. We had to wait quite long time for food which was average. Nothing special at all. There is also no menu for children. The worst, at the end we found out that it was not possible to pay by card, only cash is accepted. Our mood was completely destroyed. Totally does not worth going there!

Today I went to Meuser's for the legendary goose dinner for the first time. In my opinion, it's the best goose in all of Düsseldorf! Succulent meat under crispy skin. The side dishes were classic but delicious. I'll definitely be back! ☺️

It was my first time there. We had a small family celebration. I'll start with the ambiance. It's a very nice location when the weather's nice and you can sit outside. The service was friendly, but there weren't enough tables for the number of people. We had to wait a long time for our plates to be cleared, and only after asking. The food was good, but for the price, I would have expected more. The salad, in particular, was very stale. Overall, a good three stars. It wasn't quite enough for a fourth.

I've known this restaurant since childhood. Beautifully located in the village of Niederkassel, it's considered a traditional establishment. Like so many establishments of this kind, the Meuser restaurant has unfortunately lost some of its charm. Known far and wide for its sumptuous bacon pancakes, which fed two people. Now, a smaller portion, still labeled for two people, costs a whopping €24. Overall, the prices are no longer reasonable. What a shame.

The bacon pancake with sour cucumber is uniquely delicious. For this reason alone, Düsseldoof is worth a trip. Nice, long-established service, reasonable prices - the pleasant contrast to the chic surroundings. Parking options at the end of the street!

Restaurant typiquement allemand, type brasserie à l'ancienne mais pas non plus genre Disneyland. Evidement c'est un peu le temple de la bière, c'est même la plus vieille brasserie de la région, dans les 1640. Il y a une grande salle et une beaucoup plus petite à l'entrée. Ce soir la c'était plein - repas de fin d'année - et il faut aimer les ambiances très bruyantes. La carte est très courte, quatre entrées, dont une improbable tartines de graisse d'oie, deux soupes et un carpaccio. Les plats ne sont pas beaucoup plus nombreux, 7 ou 8. Mais c'est bon et copieux. Le restaurant n'est pas très cher, mais attention amis français, ils n'acceptent pas les cartes de crédit, seulement de débit ou du cash. Une amie à du payer pour moi car malgré mes deux cartes Visa et une American Express, j'étais incapable de payer.

Traditional restaurant with top food, a very nice atmosphere and good prices. A very good place to go for meat eaters and fans of good home-style cuisine, but not necessarily recommended for friends of vegetarian/vegan food due to the limited selection - but that's completely fine! What House Meuser offers, it does very well and delivers a high standard!

good food, snotty and unfriendly waiter. The three of us ordered 3 starters and 3 main courses, the waiter brought everything together. When we pointed this out to him, he just answered mushy and loudly that we have to tell him how we would like this to be served???? It's no problem if you're overwhelmed or something doesn't work out as planned - but the waiter reprimanding us rudely and loudly in front of all the guests isn't acceptable at all. The food was great - the waiter was a disaster...

Wieder einmal war ich mit Freunden in meinem gemütlichen Lieblingsgasthof Düsseldorfs. Weit ab von der touristischen Altstadtmeile trifft man hier in der Regel nur Ur- Düsseldorfer an, die sich hier sauwohl fühlen und die perfekte Hausmannskost ( den berühmten köstlichen Speckpfannekuchen in Wagenradgrösse - Vorsicht!, Neulinge sollten einen halben bestellen ! - Roastbeef und Rumpsteak vom feinsten, sowie nach Saison: Spargel, Pfifferlinge, Muscheln oder Gans ) lieben. Wir waren heute wieder einmal mit Freunden dort und haben uns vom Chef Andreas Meuser sowie unserem Lieblingskellner ( seit über 30 Jahren ) Paolo einmal wieder mit köstlichem Essen und eiskaltem Schlüssel - Altbier verwöhnen lassen. Einmal erneut ein großes Lob an das Meuser- Team . Wir lieben euch und unser Düsseldorf !!! 🤗🙏🥳

The food was quite good. Only the waiter took our order twice because he forgot the first one.

The occasion was not so nice, a funeral coffee. There was schnitzel with fried potatoes and salad, followed by coffee and cake. The food was very tasty, the service was quick and friendly. We'd love to come back.

The ambience and the food are great. Service became increasingly slow as the evening progressed. Several drink orders were forgotten and in the end there were dishes not ordered on the bill. So it's better to check the bill carefully.

Great little historic pub. Food options are limited but all quite tasty and far more than one human can eat in a sitting. Had the roast beef and it was super tender and flavorful. Nice creamy but lite dressing on the salad. Not cheap but also a nice location. Service gets 3 stars because there were points we literally had to beg for drinks. One might think he was busy but he was also surly.

Wir haben um 15:25Uhr hier unser essen bestellt. (1x Apfelstrudel und 1x Schnitzel) Nach ca. 30 min haben andere Gäste bereits nach ihrem Essen gefragt die schon vor uns dort waren und wurden vertröstet. Um 16:05 habe ich dann auch nach unserem Essen gefragt und mir wurde sofort entgegnet „Der Koch kommt erst um 16:00 Uhr das müssen sie doch wissen, steht auf der Webseite“ darauf hin entgegnete ich damit das ich aber nicht noch länger auf mein Essen warten möchte und das auch nicht klar kommuniziert wurde. Darauf hin wurden wir von dem Koch als „so sind die halt so Kirmeskinder“ beleidigt. Dann verlangte ich nach der Rechnung für die Getränke und habe das Restaurant verlassen. Selten eine so unfreundliche Begegnung gemacht. Nie wieder.

I went there with my wife, food was great and good amount, probably 1 plate is enough for two but we got one each. I ordered two schnitzels to go, the amount of meat was half of the amount we got there, that was not a nice surprise, my second complaint only complain is that NO credit card are accepted, I barely had cash to pay.

We became aware of this restaurant with the legendary bacon pancakes through one of my mother's many cookbooks. So we went here on May Day, found a parking space nearby and, thanks to the reservation, a table. It was full and the waiters had a lot to do. We were served with Rhenish casualness and the food came quickly. The portions are larger than expected and we were completely satisfied in the end. Recommendation and thanks for the nice evening.

Johann Albrecht is a chain that is represented throughout Germany, but they know how to create an atmosphere that is typical of the region. The Altbier brewed here tastes really good, as does the food.

The atmosphere is very nice. The service was very friendly, attentive and quick. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to high expectations. The much praised bacon pancake was a bit dark and, in my opinion, only average in taste. Maybe an outlier.

Dusseldorfer Senfrostbraten was delicious. A place to recommend.

Up ,out and about on a beautiful December morning, we had just enjoyed gluhwein and reibekuchen in Oberkassel Christmas Market across the River Rhine in the leafy and upmarket Oberkassel district,we decided to explore this area of Dusseldorf and chanced upon Meuser,a grand old tavern that was an amazing find. Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, interior is superb, multi roomed, traditional, an eye catching serving bar, pubby decor and furnishings, plenty of seating options spread throughout this tavern both inside and outside in their courtyard and all housed in a wonderful looking building, its just a great tavern to unwind in. We grabbed a table were two altbiers from Schlussel Brauerei landed on our table ,these were served in excellent condition, we chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our beers. A big fan of the altbier served in Dusseldorf, its a dark,slightly malty beer bursting with taste and very easy to drink especially when served freezing cold, it was just so good being in such a lovely tavern enjoying a quality brew and sat with my twin brother, best beer companion in the world. We both really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting for a first time visit to Meuser we had a great time. Meuser is easy to locate along Alt Niederkassel in the Oberkassel district. Opening hours are; Monday, closed. Tuesday to Friday, 5pm till 11pm. Saturday, 3pm till midnight. Sunday, midday till midnight. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

While walking around this area we visited a brilliant restaurant that was called Im Alten Bierhuis-Hermann Meuser which is located on Alt-Niederkassel.This is an authentic old restaurant with authentic fixture's and nice feature's throughout the whole interior and was a joy to visit on our four day city break in Düsseldorf. We visited here early in the afternoon while walking around this area and we went here for a few beers as we had only just had our meal's in one of the Christmas Market's.On our visit to here we had a few of glasse's of Altbier's which where perfectly served and really well priced considering the place we were in. This is a brilliant restaurant and well worth visiting and is really easy to get to from the bus stop's at D-Heinsbergstraße or U-Bahn stop's at D-Theodor-Heuss-Brücke its a few minutes walk away.(This is my first review of Im Alten Bierhuis-Hermann Meuser 1853). Ich hatte eine fantastische Zeit in diesem charmanten Bierhaus! Die Muscheln waren frisch und köstlich zubereitet. Die Bedienung war äußerst freundlich und aufmerksam, was meinen Besuch noch angenehmer machte. Das Essen war einfach super lecker! Absolut empfehlenswert.

Eine rustikale Küche und ein immer freundliches Team im Service sind der Garant für einen schönen Abend. Berühmt ist hier seit über 100 Jahren der legendäre Speckpfannkuchen, aber auch das Roastbeef mit Bratkartoffeln ist neben saisonalen Gerichten wie Spargel, Pfifferlinge oder die Gans im Winter ein Grund hier einzukehren, um die Landeshauptstadt einmal gastronomisch von einer gemütlichen Seite kennenzulernen.

Wir waren in größerer Runde im Brauhaus. Die Speisekarte ist klein, es gibt zusätzlich saisonale Angebote. Essen und Getränke sind schnell auf dem Tisch. Das Essen ist gut, die Portionen reichlich. Es gibt einen schönen Biergarten. Für einen Platz im Brauhaus sollte man besser reservieren. Das Preisniveau ist gehoben.

Sehr gutes Wiener Schnitzel mit Kartoffelsalat

Die Bedienung war eine Zumutung. Lustlos und schon fast frech. Wir hatten dass Gefühl dass wir uns glücklich schätzen können überhaupt etwas zu Essen zu bekommen. Der Backfisch war...naja. Etwas wenig mit einem kleinem Pöttchen nicht wirklich geschmackvoller Remoulade und einem lustlos draufgeschmissenem Stück Tomate. Dafür 18,90€.... ein Witz. Da schmeckt jeder Backfisch auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt besser. Können wir nicht empfehlen.

Alter Biergarten und sehr altes Restaurant in Familienbesitz. Super. Kleine Speisekarte, aber alles sehr, sehr lecker. Auf Wunsch auch kleine Portionen. Gänseessen im Herbst ein absolutes Highlight. Sehr familiere Atmosphäre.

Die altdeutsche Stube strahlt Gemütlichkeit aus. Die Karte ist klein, aber es gibt leckere Gerichte.

Wir saßen bei Regen alleine im überdachten Biergarten, in der Stube war es voll, man hat aber regelmäßig nach uns geschaut, haben nur Bierchen getrunken da die Küche erst ab 18:00h öffnete, aber kurz zuvor wurde uns dann auch Karte und Besteck gebracht und nochmals nachgefragt, sehr aufmerksam.

Wir waren mit drei Personen letztes Jahr im Winter zum Gänseessen dort und waren absolut begeistert. Das Essen hat wirklich vorzüglich geschmeckt und der Service war stets aufmerksam. Neben dem leckeren Altbier, ist die Atmosphäre in diesem urigen Lokal einzigartig. Wir kommen definitiv wieder und würden es jedem uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Uriger Laden mit freundlichem Personal, das Essen kam schnell und war schmackhaft. Punktabzug gibt's beim Schnitzel. Zwischen der panade hat man das Fleisch stellenweise suchen müssen, sehr platt geklopft das Fleisch. Geschmacklich aber gut. Die Preise waren ok soweit.

Empfehlenswerter Laden in Niederkassel. So wie es sein soll. Lecker, gutes Altbier und leckere Spirituosen.

Historisch ein schönes und wertvoll eingerichtetes Lokal! Leider war der Speckpfannekuchen deutlich übersalzen und im alten Öl gebraten, sodass es im wahrsten Sinnen des Wortes einen bitteren Nachgeschmack hatte. Für einen Preis von 21€ ist das nicht gerechtfertigt.

Das Essen war bestens und der Service sehr aufmerksam und immer mit einem Lächeln imm Gesicht. Leider war es etwas frisch was aber im Winter am Fenster sitzend normal ist. Gern kommen wir wieder.
