Mooi restaurant met lekker eten en vriendelijk personeel

We had a crowded dinner in this restaurant as a group 14. All of us were satisfied and happy with food and service. I ate schnitzel burger made with Pork. It was a delicious burger. Waitor who served us was helpful and kind. Although we’re crowded, service of food was real quick. Overall, it was quite good and I definitely recommend this place. Pricewise, it was ok. We paid 33 euros per person with 2 drinks included. There are really good options for vegans and vegetarians.

One of my friends recommend this restaurant, so I took my colleagues here. It was extremely busy on Sunday night! We booked the table so we didn’t have to wait long. I was a bit disappointed that my chicken- Schnitzel was burnt and the French fries was a but too dry. The 🍺 were the best!

This place was delicious! I loved that you could choose either a “snack” or “meal” option. I chose to get a snack portion of the pork schnitzel and cheese spaetzel. YUM! Both were very good portions and very flavorful. Also the atmosphere is perfect for groups of all sizes. Highly recommend!

Super tasty food based on modern home cooking - rather medium to high priced. Service is friendly and quick. The ambience doesn't particularly stand out from other restaurants, it is quite loud in the dining room and therefore has a bit of a folk festival vibe.

One of the best schnitzels I've eaten in a long time. The side dish was fried potatoes, which are really tasty and served in a decent quantity. The service is courteous and nice. The ambience matches the name of the restaurant. I will definitely come again!

If 15 people at a table are not allowed to pay individually, that is not 5 star service.

There were 4 of us and we had schnitzel Viennese style plus side dishes. Except for the Kaiserschmarrn, everything was good. Thanks to Pascal who always served us nicely.

War schon einige Male hier essen und es war immer sehr gut. Die Zeiten wann man das Essen bekommt varrieren zwar sehr stark und das unabhängig der Auslastung aber ansonsten bin ich sehr zufrieden und komme immer wieder gerne.

Good place, decent food and beer. There are also vegetarian options and wine. It's worth booking a table to be sure to get in, but ex-temporary may also fit in.

Very tasty. Atmospheric. There are a lot of visitors, but the service does not suffer one bit from this. Quickly, unobtrusively, you feel like a dear guest. A place where you want to return.

Good and efficient service, delicious food. I came here twice in two days, got the Wiener schnitzel and sweet potato fries/ketchup and baby potatos with onions. Overall very impressed with the seasoning (hats off to the Chef). To be honest I would probably come back to Düsseldorf just to eat here again

It was my first time trying a schnitzel and I’m happy I chose this place. Their combinations of schnitzel with different toppings and sauces are amazing! High quality food, would say the portion is okay as well as the price for it. They also offer a wide variety of beer. The place is wide with lots of tables and seats, polite and nice staff, quite noisy but gives a very good German atmosphere. I will definitely return there! 5/5

Schnitzel as thin as paper, taste ok.

We spontaneously went to eat here, didn't know the restaurant and were surprised at how big it is inside. We were seated straight away (with a stroller), the order was taken warmly and the food came quickly and tasted so good. Above all, the herb Seitling Schnitzel was awesome. When we come back to Düsseldorf we will definitely come again.

The Kaiserschmarren was boring. The rest was great!

We had dinner at the Heimwerk with our regulars. The quality of the food was very good. Well prepared and the presentation was also very good. Personally, I have to say that I haven't had such a good veal schnitzel in a long time. The sweet potato puree was also very well suited to my taste and I highly recommend it. I can highly recommend this restaurant. Due to the high number of guests, you have to allow for some waiting time. The waiters ensure that larger groups receive their food at the same time.

Die Möglichkeit, Gerichte in verschiedenen Größen als Snack oder Normahl bestellen zu können, verschafft tolle Kombinationsmöglichkeiten verschiedener Gerichte.

Der Ansatz artgerechtes Fleisch und vegetarische Varianten anzubieten,war der Anreiz dieses Restaurant zu besuchen.Die Location war auch durchaus ansprechend und die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Das Essen dagegen war aus meiner Sicht eine Katastrophe. Das von mir bestellte Schnitzel mit Bergkäse war so dünn geklopft, dass man war wahrscheinlich hätte durchsehen können .Dafür war die krümmelige und ausschließlich nach Paniermehl schmeckende Panade reichlich.Der Bergkäseanteil bestand aus ca. 5 Gramm Kâse,die geschmacklich überhaupt nicht zum tragen kamen. Preislich jedoch schon. Ein Hauch an Salatbeilage oder Senf zum Schnitzel ? Fehlanzeigen. Die von meiner Frau gewâhlte Pilzvariante bot leider auch keine bessere Qualität.Wenigstens die 5 Euro teuren Pommes frites waren in Ordnung. Fazit: Einmal und nie wieder

Beautiful, young and "fresh" atmosphere that combines the old with the new. Big and spacious but popular enough that it fills up easily and you will probably have to wait a while to find a free table. Due to the crowd, the staff are trying hard to get by and may not leave you 100% satisfied. The restaurant has a small menu specializing mainly in schnitzel. The sweet potato fries were also very tasty. One negative I found was the fact that we tried to book a table by phone but no one answered. We took the risk of going without a reservation and luckily after a short wait we found a table.

Nice restaurant in Düsseldorf's old town. It has such a brewery atmosphere. We were there in the afternoon. It was pretty empty at the time, but I think it can get pretty crowded in the evenings. I had a Munich schnitzel with potato salad. It was very tasty. All of my colleagues' dishes also looked very appetizing. It wasn't exactly cheap, but it's in Düsseldorf's old town.

Die Basisidee im Sinne von Nachhaltigkeit entspricht ja dem verlangen vieler potentieller Gäste. Die Einrichtung im Brauhaus-Style ist ansprechend. Die Küche ist vielleicht für Veganer und Vegetarier ganz lecker, für Schnitzelliebhaber war es leider nicht so toll. Doppelt so viel Panade als es Fleisch gab, sehr fettig, das war dann schon enttäuschend für ein Restaurant, was sich auf Schnitzel spezialisiert.

Absolutely positive! Great service, very friendly and always available promptly. The food was also very tasty and, above all, filling. The prices are of course a little higher than in other restaurants, but for us they are completely justified. The background noise on this Sunday evening was also completely fine, we could have a relaxed conversation. We'll definitely be back 😊

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 12 Personen da. Es hat allen sehr gut gefallen, das Essen war super, die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Einzige Minus - die Bezahlung bei Gruppe. Es geht ab 10 Personen nur eine Gesammtrechnung. Andrese Möglichkeit, man scannt den QR Code auf dem Tisch und zahlt Online. Letzteres hätten wir gerne gemacht. Wir saßen an zwei Tische, leider waren alle Getränke nur über einen Tisch gebucht, so dass der 2 Tisch gar nicht Online zahlen konnte. Der Kellner musste also doch einzeln abkassieren. Bitte überdenkt nochmal euer Bezahlsystem. Entweder auf die richtigen Tische buchen oder einzeln abrechnen. Eine getrennte Zahlung würde auch mehr Trinkgeld bedeuten. Ansonsten hat es uns sehr gut im HeimWerk gefallen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Very good food and nice service. There is Augustiner beer on tap. If you like something spicy, I recommend Chili Schnitzel, it's delicious.

Good atmosphere. Its large number of clientele makes service a little slow. If they had more options on the menu it would be a 5 for sure. It is a recommended place.

Zur Hauptzeit ein wenig zu lAut. Aber alles andere vom Feinsten! Besonders die Knödel und Das Bergkäse-Schnitzel.

Overall verdict: Mixed! Positive: The schnitzel was good, there are many schnitzel variations, vegetarian and vegan dishes. The staff was friendly and the food was delivered quickly despite the house being full. Negative: The food: The portions are relatively small for the price. My main course (excluding side dish) + side dish was just under €25 and was only moderately filling. The large portion of Kaiserschmarrn for €12 was more of a dessert than a main course. My fries were rather soggy and unsalted. (Salt was given straight away when asked, there is nothing on the table). I find a 0.3 liter Fritz Cola for €4 to be borderline expensive. (large drinks are only available with beer) The ambience: Basically, the restaurant is furnished and looks cozy. But... We sat near the door, so it was drafty and cool. The beer bench-like benches were as comfortable as a beer bench gets. In general it was so loud that you could only have a conversation with people on the other side of the table by shouting rather than talking. The combination of price and ambience didn't invite us to stay longer. Pay: In larger groups you have to pay together. In our case, this means that someone has to lay out €400 and can then collect the money later. We were not made aware of Tapypay (as mentioned in other comments). The site seems anything but serious to me and I don't want to get an extra app/account just for one restaurant! Of course, this saves the restaurant some time, but the necessary billing afterwards would be a reason for me not to go there again. Summary: A actually nice restaurant with good food, but small portions for expensive money, an uncomfortable, very loud atmosphere and a total bill for large groups.

We were there in October 2024. The DIY structure is relatively spartan. Wooden tables, wooden benches, wooden chairs, all without coverings such as cushions or tablecloths. There are many types of schnitzel to choose from, as well as Munich beer. The schnitzels then have to be combined with other side dishes (e.g. fried potatoes). We had many different dishes with our group and everyone enjoyed it very much! The staff is very nice but always short. On the day of our visit, the Heimwerk was very well attended. Because of the high ceiling in the middle it was extremely loud. It doesn't feel very comfortable, you feel more like you're in a festival tent, especially because of the wooden furniture. However, for a quick, tasty meal and a beer, DIY is highly recommended.

Beautiful location with delicious food and very friendly service staff. Two portion sizes can be chosen for the meal and even the small portion was absolutely sufficient. The brewery-style furnishings suit Düsseldorf. Unfortunately, there is a lot of noise in the rooms, making conversation tiring. Still a place that I would visit again at any time

WIr hatten einen Tisch für 18:00 Uhr reserviert, sind auch gleich zum Tisch geführt worden, Bedienung kam recht schnell, nahm Getränke auf. Essen dauerte etwas zu lange (ca. 40 Minuten), war aber für ein Brauhaus sehr gut, frisch zubereitet, ausreichende Portionsgröße, Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis wirklich gut. Location nett gemacht, ziemlich laut aber sonst ok. Service war bemüht, ein oder zwei Kräfte mehr hätten dem Ablauf gut getan.
