Das essen war super lecker, cool dass es auch kleine Portionen gibt. Auch der service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, alles in allem ein gelungener Abend.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend mit leckerem Essen und einem super zuvorkommenden Service. Eine absolute Empfehlung in Düsseldorf!

Absolutely fresh cuisine that you can taste! With 5 people, no one had anything to complain about. Fast and nice service. Our main waiter "Leon" was very attentive and a pleasant host. Great: All dishes are in snack portions, so I was able to order three different dishes. Price/performance ratio top! 3 dishes and 3 drinks for €34.00. Definitely not my last visit. Great service and delicious schnitzels, definitely worths a visit.

The service was extremely poor. Even though there were 13 of us, 1.5 hr to get some Snitzel which is pretty much all they sell. They mostly ignored us until we started calling folk over. Eventually they gave us a free schnapps, the duty manager tried their best once made aware of the issue and the server that was last with us was very apologetic. It isn't that busy at all.

Heimwerk in Düsseldorf impresses with fresh, regional cuisine in a cozy atmosphere. Attentive service makes the restaurant an absolute highlight. Thanks Philip for last night :)

Went there at lunchtime today and enjoyed the inexpensive lunch. Very friendly staff and tasteful food. It's particularly good that the respective dishes can also be ordered as snack portions, for when you're slightly hungry. Augustiner beers on tap are also recommended.

We were a very large group. Service was very attentive. The food was very tasty and plentiful.

Nice place. Modernly designed, the wooden benches bring a Bavarian tavern atmosphere. Good food and the Augustiner Helle is highly recommended.

I was at HomeWerk recently and had a great experience. The food was really tasty, especially the schnitzel, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. I was particularly impressed by our waiter Phillip. He was super friendly, attentive and accompanied us perfectly through the evening with his competent advice. Thanks to him the visit was even nicer. Absolutely recommended – I would love to come back!

Home made schnitzel. Tried the veal and chicken schnitzel, both were fantastic. Especially the chicken schnitzel brought me memories from my mother’s chicken schnitzel. Congratulations, a must visit in Dusseldorf

Yesterday I was at home with colleagues. We were able to sit outside at short notice. The drinks were at the table within a few minutes - despite the full shop and outdoor area. The food also came in a reasonable time, was freshly prepared and very tasty. The concept of the menu means you have many options to choose your dish individually. What really stands out is the service! Without exception, all employees were friendly and competent. We had a great evening and will definitely come back again! Thank you!

Had lunch here with 5 people on Friday. The food was great, and my girlfriend in particular was thrilled that most of the dishes could also be ordered as small snack portions.

We think the atmosphere and the relaxed style are great. A good mix between old and new. Food was very good and there were no problems with conditions.

The food was great, but a waiter spilled a beer on a friend of mine's shirt and pants. Nothing came except a “sorry.” Even the comment “now that’s a beer on the house” didn’t raise any eyebrows. This is not service commensurate with a meal like this. Very rude!

Strong 4. The burger was a bit dry and the Hanfschnitzel was definitely not for a child 😅 but even for me it tasted average. A little high… 🥲 The beer and fries were first class, the veal cutlet was also great, but the bun dried me out and I had to get rid of the top half 😜 Generally, you order a cutlet, and the extras are paid extra. It's nice that each option has the option to order half, so it's for the child as he finds it. As long as the staff helps you choose the right position. 😉 Lots of options for vegetarians and vegans. 👌

I was looking for a place to eat a good schnitzel and I found it. I decided to sit on the terrace for lunch because the inside looked very dark. It seemed big, but I wanted to take advantage of the good weather, so I sat on one of the benches they have outside with long tables. Then I realized they have more across the sidewalk, so the restaurant is really huge. The letter is in digital format and there is the option to view it in English. However, I saw the typical sign outside the restaurant with some kind of menu-offer only in German. With the time I spent there eating and translating, I realized that the offer was more interesting to save you a little money, but I don't blame the restaurant, since I simply didn't ask. The service seemed to be all young people, but very helpful and attentive. I really liked the detail that my waiter informed me that the schnitzel came alone, without accompaniment, since I thought they all came with potatoes. Therefore, to order a combined dish like mine you have to order the accompaniment (sides) separately. I was also grateful because at first I had ordered 2 schnitzels (the largest option), but then, when including the potatoes, I opted to keep a single fillet and thank goodness, it was more than enough. The drink, as seen in the photo, is also huge. The quality is very good and the atmosphere is pleasant, so I would repeat without hesitation.

We probably won't come here again. We were a fairly large group and it took a long time for us all to order. Even when paying at the end it was a problem to finally get someone from the service to the table. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, but it is so loud in there that you can no longer hear people two seats away. But the biggest point for me was the food. The potatoes and sauces were tasty, but three slices of breaded eggplant cost just under €12 and the side dishes are extra. I'm not a big eater but even for me the portion was quite small and definitely too expensive. A tip: a few more potatoes are enough as a side dish if, as a vegetarian, you only get a few slices of breaded vegetables.

Heimwerk has an excellent selection of schnitzels with different variations and in two sizes. Location is great and you can actually get free tab water!

Plus: nice restaurant in terms of atmosphere, design, food was tasty and friendly staff Minus: I thought the food was on the small side and it wasn't exactly cheap either. You have to order everything separately from the snitzels, such as the side dishes and sauces. I also thought that you could share a portion of fries with 2 people, but it was more for 1 person. Furthermore, I forgot to order a separate sauce with the snitzel, which made the snitzel on the dry side. We were big eaters and found the snitzels to be on the small side and unfortunately we were not full after eating

Nice spot if you're in the mood for schnitzel and Bavarian beer. Nice variety, sometimes new ideas and creations for an otherwise rather "ordinary" dish. Service is very pleasant, price-performance ratio is okay, gladly again.

First of all, I have to give my absolute recommendation for the sweet potato puree. Really terrific. Everything else tasted good too. My criticism would be that you order the components of your meal individually. I also find it strange that the sauces (ketchup, etc.) are ordered individually and are not automatically included with, for example, fries. Because you have to order everything separately, I think everything is 10-15% too expensive. I also find it unnecessarily complicated if you have to select 3 separate points on the map for a plate. The restaurant is located on a nice side street, so you won't be disturbed by noise or lots of passers-by. The staff is quick and very friendly.

Piece of Schnitzel is only 10€. That is a big scum. Late delivery. Stay away. Only good thing is friendly stuffs.

Food is more like tourist prices typical of the old town. Old with 3.30 for 0.25l at the top end. Service can be expanded with many temporary workers. Look and feel impeccable in the store.

Went with a friend, we were seated almost immediately and the staff was very friendly, kind and approachable. They also served us menus in English! The food was amazing, good quality/price ratio and an overall great experience!

There is Augustiner beer that can be enjoyed in a nice atmosphere. The menu offers a good selection. If you like veal meatballs, you should definitely try these. The service is quick and friendly. Would love to come back.

Unfortunately the waiting time was a bit long, ~45 minutes. But very tasty schnitzel.

The service was good, the ambience: clean, quite bare and sober, although it was not very busy it was very loud. The food was disappointing. We had 3 main courses, several snacks and side dishes for 5 people. The food arrived about 45 minutes after we ordered. Except for a few lemon slices, there was no decoration or sauces. The schnitzel (vegan or Munich) in particular lacked taste. The breading was also very tasteless. When it came to the Cordon Bleu, we made sure to check whether it was a main course, as for €18 the portion looked very manageable on the bare plate.

Always happy to be here. The schnitzels are great, the service is always friendly and uncomplicated. Sometimes it takes a while for the food to arrive, but it's all the better for it.

Pretty different atmosphere compared to normal restaurant. But I liked it. The food was fine. “homemade” Schnitzel was good. Sweet potatoes too. But maybe I just expected a bit more from this place because I got a lot of recommendations before.

We arrived with a very tight schedule and were supported by the entire service team so that we could set off again on time. The food arrived very quickly despite the many tables being occupied - when it was still too tight for us, we quickly packed it up to take away. We would love to come back.

Food was good but a bit expensive. About €30-40 per person. Service was polite but somewhat unintrested and slow. I guess the communication in the team could be better. Not sure how common mistakes are in this restaurant but they forgot to give my oder in the kitchen. When i asked about it they realised the mistake, apologised and said we wouldnt have to pay for drinks which would be nice, if it only was true. Also they braught as extra potatoes which i didnt order but still had to pay for. After asking for the check, we had to wait, asking another waiter for it and wait 20min .

Sat indoors, very loud atmosphere! Service was very friendly, although it took about three quarters of an hour for the food to be served. Menu appealing, although my friend's portion (Cordon Bleu) was rather meager for the male stomach ;), but tasted good. Bad value for money!

Very crowded place with schnitzel as their specialty. We had a crispy and chili schnitzel where the chili one tastes better. The thing that we liked about this place was that it has snack sized options but it was literally just the schnitzel and nothing else 😆 We also ordered meatballs and even the dip we had to pay extra. Definitely good to try when wanting to be in a budget and but dont expect the same food experience as the traditional german pubs.

This place looks good from the outside and the menu has a wide variety of options but unfortunately the way we were treated made the whole experience sour. The place was almost half empty but waiters and food took forever to arrive. Extra demands such as ketchup were ignored or forgotten, and I was pushed by a waiter for accidentally standing on this way. I can't imagine what happens when the place is actually full.

Complete ignorance, i was told there s one free table in the back and nobody came to serve me for 20 mins. I left because they preferred to serve and pay attention to the large groups. Shame on you, thank you for the warm welcome Germany❤️

A standard restaurant in Düsseldorf. Very interesting dishes for vegetarians and vegans. I thought it was absolutely great that you can also order the main courses as a snack. I also thought it was great that you could order the dishes using the QR code and then pay later. Everything tasted ok. Prices completely ok.

There were 4 of us here. We actually found the restaurant by chance and were spontaneously offered a table for ourselves. My three friends all had schnitzel while I had the dumplings. Everything was delicious, freshly prepared and homemade. We plan to come again!

Update 6/2024 Bergkäseschnitzel vom Kalb Die Herlichkeit und Gemütlichkeit ist hier immer noch gegeben, was den Besuch vom Heimwerk sehr angenehm macht. Das Bergkäseschnitzel vom Kalb hat sehr gut geschmeckt, die Panade hätte für mich gern knusprige sein können. Die Pommes haben mich nicht überzeugt, da fand ich die Süßkartoffelpommes besser. Ein Besuch im Heimwerk ist immer noch lohnenswert.

Update 6/2024 Mountain cheese schnitzel from veal The warmth and cosiness is still present here, which makes visiting the home workshop very pleasant. The veal mountain cheese schnitzel tasted very good, but I would have liked the breading to be crispier. The fries didn't convince me, I thought the sweet potato fries were better. Unfortunately, the Kaiserschmarrn wasn't convincing at all because it was a bit tough. A visit to the home improvement center is still worthwhile.

The Wiener Schnitzel is particularly recommended!!

It's nice to sit in a nice environment. I recommend you to see the inside too. Delicious. Schnitzel was a little oily for our taste. But you definitely won't regret eating it. I advise.

CERTIFICATE OF POVERTY!! It's a great outcome that all the German national team's games are broadcast and then the screen is exactly smaller than in your own living room and you can't even have the sound of the game. Then just leave it alone and don't attract people with it!!

Good and tasty food. For larger groups, there were 20 of us, I would like a little more flexibility when paying. There was a bill that we had to unravel. That's just annoying.

We had a lovely evening with international guests. The selection of schnitzel (also vegan and vegetarian) is really great and I also think the different sizes of the dishes are great. Personally, I found the prices quite high (since all side dishes and sauces are charged extra) - but that's probably my personal feeling too. Overall we liked it and would eat there again.

After both visits I can only praise the food very much. It's great that there are two portion sizes to choose from for normal or big hunger. I also think the concept of ordering everything individually so that you can put together your meal according to your wishes is a good idea. The different portion sizes together with the combination of individual components of your choice certainly helps to avoid a lot of leftover food. The service is also very praiseworthy. Very friendly and very attentive even when the restaurant is full.

Ambience is quite nice, the waiter was friendly. However, the prices are definitely too high, which is no longer normal for the old town of Düsseldorf. According to the waiter, the schnitzels weigh 80 grams for the snack portion and 160 grams for the “normal meal”. If you consider that the side dish comes extra, the price/performance ratio is no longer ok. Therefore only three stars.
