The food was delicious! Definitely worth another visit.

Went to Knilmanns for a funeral coffee with 30 guests today and it was very good. The food was delicious, the service was attentive and booking was easy, with all special requests catered for. Despite the sad occasion, it was a very nice celebration, thank you.

Really homemade pasta, which tastes better straight away. The pumpkin soup was great as a starter. Main course large portion. But it's also loud (in the evening) and lots of sugar.

It was very, very tasty and is definitely recommended. It was quite crowded and seemed a bit like a large canteen. But it can be endured. The dishes came quickly and, above all, at the same time. The service was great!

I was with a group of ten people at Mr. Knillmann. Another person and I ordered tarte flambée. The edge was lukewarm, the middle was cold and apparently fresh from the fridge. After we complained, we were offered to reheat the two tarte flambées. When we got them back, the serving boards were warm, but the tarte flambées were still cold! We complained again and were now supposed to receive two completely fresh tarte flambées. Both were cold again! We then decided against trying to eat again. I noticed from others in the group that they had to wait over half an hour for their drinks.

WOW.. what a great restaurant. So much space, such friendly and attentive staff, and everything is clean for the guest. We had the Wiener Schnitzel, and even though it wasn't thin like classic Wiener Schnitzel, it tasted very good and the side dish (fried potatoes) was great! One negative point is rather secondary, but important for AMEX holders: Unfortunately, AMEX is not accepted :( I would be happy if that changed at some point.

Very nice and competent staff. The food is very good, great value for money, lots of choice. The outside terrace in summer with the opportunity to play boules is very nice. The ambience inside is great and the restaurant is located at the basilica in the old center of Ddorf-Gerresheim. A real insider for everyone who doesn't feel like eating in Düsseldorf's chic center. I can only recommend it and will always come back for food..💪🙏👍😋🍽🍹

With 6 men for dinner. Disaster 20 minutes waiting for drinks, 1.5 hours waiting time for food. Food very bland and completely overpriced. Never again. Not recommended.

Food was average, tarte flambée (2 pieces) came to the table really cold even after a complaint. Empty glasses stood on the table for almost an hour and no further requests were asked. Then again 3 drinks could be ordered, which arrived at the table after 35 minutes. Dessert prices too high, creme brulee almost missing the important sugar crust. The staff is friendly but semi-professional.

So, the beef was pretty good and the waiters as well, but the Ramen.. it was so bad :( To salty, like a sea water. I couldn’t eat it

We stopped in spontaneously after a hike. Very nice location, but particularly notable is the excellent service. Young, competent, friendly and fast team. The child at the next table was asked whether he wanted his drink with or without a straw. The answer “with” was followed by the follow-up question: “pink, green or blue?” Splendid. Pork knuckle with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes more than plentiful and very tasty. Chicken crisp burger ok, side salad very good, American cheese cake to share very tasty. Everyone should find something here. And another note: Stylish and perfectly clean toilets!

Can recommend. Food was great, allocated server was very attentive and friendly throughout. Because of the size of the restaurant it was very noise, including sitting next to a kids corner did not help. The only improvement that this restaurant would benefit from, would be more attentiveness when entering. Multiple staff went past us, after entering without any acknowledgement for a few minutes. Tip for improvements - you could be have a host taking over the seating of reservations and welcoming everyone. Then you would get 5* for sure! Will return.

We came here based on the good reviews and were not disappointed. The food was excellent, the service was very friendly and the whiskey sour and espresso martini were super good! If we ever come to Düsseldorf again, we will definitely come back to Mr. Knillmann.

Great restaurant experience from A-Z. We were there to work and had our own closed part of the restaurant with a projector and flipchart. For lunch we had goulash soup and sweet potato soup, both of which were excellent. The staff are all very attentive and accommodating and made the experience complete. In the evening we ate a la carte. The Wiener Schnitzel was particularly well received by everyone here. We are already looking forward to our next visit there.

We don't find really good cuisine, prices are too high for the dishes and the taste and quality. Tried several main courses because I wanted to give it all a chance. Truffle pasta tastes like broth, steak meat not good quality, not tender. Burger nothing special, there are better options. If you consider that the prices were between 21 and almost 30 euros, I expect top quality, not just looks! The ambience is really great, but it's even sadder when the kitchen doesn't really score.

Very nice restaurant in beautiful surroundings. We enjoy being there and are always happy about the warm atmosphere and the beautiful ambience. The food is mostly fantastic, e.g. the grilled avocado, sometimes a bit dry, e.g. B. the chicken burger. It would be good for this one to forego the dry breading. But we would love to come back!

In the "beer garden" between the two streets you can sit under the shade 🌳 and enjoy a few Altbier. The light wind today makes it a very pleasant stay. The quick service asks politely about my order and delivers promptly. I am completely satisfied!!

We were at the Balloon Museum and saw the advertisement for the Herr Knillmann restaurant as we were leaving the premises. We went there spontaneously and didn't regret it. The food, service, atmosphere and price/performance ratio were all right here. We'll be back soon with friends.

We ended up here on the recommendation of a friend and I have to say: a good tip. Hungry after sport, we both ended up eating schnitzel. At first I found it strange that the side salad had to be ordered separately. However, there are a lot of green food refusers who let the salad end up in the brown bin unused. Somehow sustainable and quite decent for €6.50. Ambiance, we sat outside, very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the delicious food was served quickly. Free parking for 2.5 hours is a nice way to get rid of the car. I like to give 5 stars

We were there spontaneously with 6 people + 1 child. My dish was forgotten, while everyone ate in a relaxed manner, I was allowed to watch and wait. As an apology, we were given a free dessert. But that doesn't change the fact that it was forgotten. However, you should budget €20-30 per person for food and a drink. The portions are manageable. My food arrived just as everyone else had finished eating. I then politely refused to accept it.

We (two people) picked Mr. Knillman out of the City Schecks Düsseldorf voucher book and were here for the first time. We were warmly welcomed. The terrace looked very inviting, but we preferred to sit inside and were able to choose a spot. There wasn't one operator responsible for this area, but rather different people. But we were always served in a friendly manner, always with a smile. When ordering, we showed the voucher book, which was commented on in a friendly manner and said that it would be taken into account when paying later. We ordered Rigatoni alla Puttanesca + chicken breast strips (the sauce was very tasty, although a little too spicy for our taste, but that is very individual; suggestion: offer a mild and spicier version) and Kikok chicken breast with a mango risotto and grilled green asparagus (very yummy). Something completely different. Overall, we found the menu to be very varied. Yes, a little higher priced. But very tasty, freshly prepared and beautifully presented. If the quality is right, it may cost a little more. We would treat ourselves to that every now and then. The atmosphere among the staff also seemed very good to me, which was very pleasant. There were 4 of us there at lunchtime with two small children. The parking situation is bad. There is probably a parking garage for customers, but unfortunately this information is completely missing on the homepage or in the absence of an appointment/reservation reminder. The menu is generally a bit more modern with great vegetarian and vegan cuisine. All in all, a great combination of classics and modern dishes. For dessert we had the chocolate cake for 9 euros with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was delicious but I have to say that I wouldn't pay another 9 euros for the little cake, even if it was nicely draped. Otherwise the price-performance ratio was really okay. When we're in the corner again, we'll be happy to come back. Just put a note about parking everywhere. This also generates more customers. Wonderful experience with good food and good ambience!

We were there on Sunday with 4 people and 2 children around 4:30 p.m. and ate there. We had pasta, steaks, salads and tarte flambée. There were Chicken Mc Nuggets for the children. We paid €120.00 for everything and are completely satisfied. There is a small children's corner including a "children's kitchen" with several toys. Even when the children were in the way, the staff took it very easy and were always friendly. We really enjoyed the food, the portions were decent. The toilets are clean and there is even a barrier-free toilet with a changing table and free Pampers. We were very satisfied and thank you.
