It's unbelievable how great this evening was. Had a meeting with a very good friend. Lena and Till was our service. What great, loving and authentic people we were able to meet here. My Caesar salad was really good, but Lena somehow saw that it could make me happier. The chicken could have been fried for less time. She promptly took my plate and brought it back completely re-arranged after just 6 minutes. It couldn't be more perfect. Dear people, come here and try this restaurant. The ambience is great! In the summer the beer garden - a dream. The service is okay - however, when it's full you have to make yourself aware of it so that "refills" come, otherwise you'll go away empty-handed. Unfortunately, the food is the big weak point. That's really such a shame. When Knillmann reopened, I was thrilled - unfortunately the kitchen continued to decline. Most recently I had the Wiener Schnitzel - it was so small, it was outrageous. After all, it costs 32 euros. Not only was it too small, it was also cut too thick and tasted like nothing but fat. Likewise the fried potatoes served with it. I had the same “phenomenon” on my last visit with the “Jägerschnitzel”. I had fries instead of fried potatoes - they were good - but a rather liquid-looking "mayonnaise" was served in a glass bottle - that had nothing to do with mayonnaise. Really a shame.

I went for goose dinner with my wife. The leg was very tasty and so were the side dishes. As always, the service was very courteous.

Service was noticeably friendly and attentive, good menu, tomatoes with mozzarella very fresh, as was the roast beef! Chicken burger with sweet potatoes top. Atmosphere cozy, a little noisy. Parking situation is easy as there is a parking garage in the immediate vicinity. Parking ticket will be validated! 5 stars absolutely deserved!

We visited "Herr Knillmann" with the company on a Friday evening. The place itself is nicely presented, but it was packed and therefore very loud; despite various acoustic construction measures. The (young) service staff on site were nice and attentive. It is clear to me that the catering industry is generally struggling with cost pressure and that high-quality products cannot be provided for “dumping prices”. But in my opinion the prices quoted here are clearly excessive and are in no way commensurate with the taste experience/quality of the dishes (in my case the “baby spinach salad” and the rump steak). I definitely won't come back.

Very nice restaurant in the heart of Gerresheim. A slightly “different” menu. Great dishes. This time we had the burger with “pulled goose” and the salad with goat cheese. The tarte flambées are also recommended. Fast and friendly service. Nice atmosphere. Prices a little higher, but quality is good.

"I rarely visit this restaurant, but I've always been impressed by their cuisine and service. However, my most recent visit was a stark contrast. Perhaps there was a new chef or it was simply an off day. The chestnut cream soup was tasty, but the texture was not quite right. The €32 beef schnitzel was bland and lacked any seasoning. I could only finish it with the help of a few beers. Unfortunately, I experienced stomach upset after dinner. Due to an urgent departure, I was unable to investigate the matter further."

The food was very tasty and everyone found something. It is very child-friendly with a children's menu, a play area and there was a coloring picture and pens available upon arrival. I can only recommend it to families with children; adults also get their money's worth with delicious drinks and good food.

A very charming and authentic restaurant that we enjoyed overall. The food was delicious, although a friend was surprised by her winter bowl: the lentils had a strong, smoky taste, probably from BBQ spices. It would have been helpful if this had either been on the menu or if the friendly waitress had pointed it out to us. Nevertheless, the service was very attentive and warm, which made the visit pleasant. I would definitely stop by again for coffee and cake! The furnishings are simple but comfortable.

I had dinner here with two friends on Sunday and we really had a great time! For the three of us, it's always a challenge to choose what to eat - and the menu here offers so many goodies that it was really difficult to choose. Luckily, the lovely waitress Kathi came to our rescue. She gave us great advice and gave us exactly the right recommendations. A huge compliment to the kitchen because the food was simply fantastic – we all loved it! The staff was great too. In addition to Kathi, a very friendly waiter served us later, a tall gentleman with light hair, whose name we unfortunately don't know, but a big thank you to him too! The atmosphere is pleasant, everything is clean and the entire team spreads a positive atmosphere. We felt completely at home here and will definitely come back!

Really very large restaurant which makes it good for larger groups. Modern and trendy furnishings. Not the largest selection per se, but from a wide range of different directions. It should be clear that due to the size of the restaurant and the number of guests, the emphasis here is on quick cuisine and not on high restaurant art, but it was still tasty. Unfortunately the noodles were too hard but the waiter really tried to let them go back and let them continue cooking in a pan with sauce. Burger is small compared to other dishes.

Unfortunately, service and food are super bad! Never had such bad mussels before. Unfortunately, we didn't make amends with a dessert either. Too bad...

Unfortunately the schnitzel for 30 euros was very small. I've also read this in other reviews, so it seems to be generally the case. Hence the tip that there is so much potential for disappointment for the price. A real Wiener Schnitzel has to go all over the plate. Nevertheless: it was delicious! Just too little. Edit: were back today after a while. It was really great. (But I didn't have any schnitzel either)

Cozy restaurant with delicious Wiener Schnitzel, one point deducted for the fried potatoes, which weren't quite as crispy & the schnitzel that was cut a little too thick (I know Wiener Schnitzel is thinner, but the meat quality was top & the taste was great). So I visited the restaurant again, service was very friendly and on the ball, food was still delicious, it would be better if the plates were a little warmer, then the food doesn't cool down so quickly. But the toilets... visually great... but from the top of the stairs you can find the toilet with your eyes closed. A really unpleasant smell!!! Something has to be done quickly.

Went to Knilmanns for a funeral coffee with 30 guests today and it was very good. The food was delicious, the service was attentive and booking was easy, with all special requests catered for. Despite the sad occasion, it was a very nice celebration, thank you.

It was very, very tasty and is definitely recommended. It was quite crowded and seemed a bit like a large canteen. But it can be endured. The dishes came quickly and, above all, at the same time. The service was great!

I was with a group of ten people at Mr. Knillmann. Another person and I ordered tarte flambée. The edge was lukewarm, the middle was cold and apparently fresh from the fridge. After we complained, we were offered to reheat the two tarte flambées. When we got them back, the serving boards were warm, but the tarte flambées were still cold! We complained again and were now supposed to receive two completely fresh tarte flambées. Both were cold again! We then decided against trying to eat again. I noticed from others in the group that they had to wait over half an hour for their drinks.

WOW.. what a great restaurant. So much space, such friendly and attentive staff, and everything is clean for the guest. We had the Wiener Schnitzel, and even though it wasn't thin like classic Wiener Schnitzel, it tasted very good and the side dish (fried potatoes) was great! One negative point is rather secondary, but important for AMEX holders: Unfortunately, AMEX is not accepted :( I would be happy if that changed at some point.

Very nice and competent staff. The food is very good, great value for money, lots of choice. The outside terrace in summer with the opportunity to play boules is very nice. The ambience inside is great and the restaurant is located at the basilica in the old center of Ddorf-Gerresheim. A real insider for everyone who doesn't feel like eating in Düsseldorf's chic center. I can only recommend it and will always come back for food..💪🙏👍😋🍽🍹

With 6 men for dinner. Disaster 20 minutes waiting for drinks, 1.5 hours waiting time for food. Food very bland and completely overpriced. Never again. Not recommended.

Food was average, tarte flambée (2 pieces) came to the table really cold even after a complaint. Empty glasses stood on the table for almost an hour and no further requests were asked. Then again 3 drinks could be ordered, which arrived at the table after 35 minutes. Dessert prices too high, creme brulee almost missing the important sugar crust. The staff is friendly but semi-professional.

So, the beef was pretty good and the waiters as well, but the Ramen.. it was so bad :( To salty, like a sea water. I couldn’t eat it

A very nice restaurant that caught our attention with a voucher book. The food was noticeably prepared with good ingredients and was reasonably priced. The service was A1 and the ambience is very nice. We wanted to celebrate our anniversary here and the only thing that bothered us was the noise and proximity to the next table.

Can recommend. Food was great, allocated server was very attentive and friendly throughout. Because of the size of the restaurant it was very noise, including sitting next to a kids corner did not help. The only improvement that this restaurant would benefit from, would be more attentiveness when entering. Multiple staff went past us, after entering without any acknowledgement for a few minutes. Tip for improvements - you could be have a host taking over the seating of reservations and welcoming everyone. Then you would get 5* for sure! Will return.

These jubilant reviews are amazing. The service (woman) was neither able to look us in the eye nor greet us in a friendly way. It was late afternoon and not crowded at all. The ambience is a bit dark, but nicely done. The cutlery was dirty. The starter salad was sandy and not tasty - the flat plate for salad was very impractical. The burgers were more of a kit, crooked and crooked, with cheap sliced ​​cheese and were unfortunately not good either. Great restaurant experience from A-Z. We were there to work and had our own closed part of the restaurant with a projector and flipchart. For lunch we had goulash soup and sweet potato soup, both of which were excellent. The staff are all very attentive and accommodating and made the experience complete. In the evening we ate a la carte. The Wiener Schnitzel was particularly well received by everyone here. We are already looking forward to our next visit there.

We don't find really good cuisine, prices are too high for the dishes and the taste and quality. Tried several main courses because I wanted to give it all a chance. Truffle pasta tastes like broth, steak meat not good quality, not tender. Burger nothing special, there are better options. If you consider that the prices were between 21 and almost 30 euros, I expect top quality, not just looks! The ambience is really great, but it's even sadder when the kitchen doesn't really score.

The food is mostly fantastic, e.g. the grilled avocado, sometimes a bit dry, e.g. B. the chicken burger. It would be good for this one to forego the dry breading. But we would love to come back!

In the "beer garden" between the two streets you can sit under the shade 🌳 and enjoy a few Altbier. The light wind today makes it a very pleasant stay. The quick service asks politely about my order and delivers promptly. I am completely satisfied!!
