Best doner kebab I've eaten in Düsseldorf so far.

There's so little meat in the doner kebab! I first thought it was a vegetarian doner kebab!

I ordered a veal doner kebab, and the meat wasn't freshly sliced; it had probably been sitting under the spit for a while to keep warm. It was just dry meat. Even the sauces couldn't fix it. When I asked if I could have it freshly sliced, I was told, "I just cut it fresh." Sorry, that's not acceptable!

I've been a regular at Deniz for almost 8 years now and hope to continue doing so for many more. I find the "classic dishes" of a kebab shop—like kebabs, lahmacun, etc.—to be really decent. What really sets this place apart from other kebab shops for me, however, are the fresh daily specials on display. I've tried every single one of the menu items and am simply thrilled with the freshly cooked dishes every day. I find the value for money here truly unbeatable. Where else in Düsseldorf can you get a decent portion with vegetables, meat, and a side dish for (currently) €10 that's this delicious?! Deniz forever ❤️

I'm so grateful that I discovered this unassuming snack bar by chance. The staff is not only super friendly but also very fast, and the kebab is, without exaggeration, one of the tastiest I've ever eaten 😭😍🙀♥️ For seven euros, such a good kebab with delicious, juicy meat and fresh vegetables... You can't beat it. I come here almost once a week now 🤌🥲

It's very small and quiet. There were four of us, and no one else was there before us. The food came relatively quickly, taking only 5-10 minutes (order of doner kebab for €7, two doner plates for €13.90, and a rolled lahmacun). I can only recommend it to anyone who wants something quick to eat.

One of the best doner kebabs in Düsseldorf, something different and not always the standard doner kebab. Everything is homemade, including the skewer and the sauces. The service is also top-notch. The Koc doner shop around the corner doesn't taste bad, but the doner and everything else at Deniz Imbiss is, as I said, something else entirely.

The kebab man is super friendly, and the kebab was even better! Crispy, fresh bread, juicy salad, and the meat is also amazing. 100% worth it, the best kebab!

The chicken skewer is made here in-house – a real rarity in Düsseldorf! While many other stores rely on frozen mass-produced goods, here you get quality with handcraft. The remaining ingredients are also fresh and taste convincing. The bread is standard, but quite good. Overall, a clear recommendation!

It is a small place that prepares beef döner kebab and especially chicken, which they make themselves. In addition to the usual kebab accompaniments, they have other Turkish cuisine dishes. They also have drinks and serve beer. The kebab is of excellent quality, and I suppose the rest of the kitchen is too, because it looked good. On Sunday afternoon, the trickle of people from the neighborhood to have a quiet kebab was incessant. They open until 11:00 at night.

I've lived here for 6 years now, and it was my favorite kebab. Everything was always fresh and delicious, but over the last 1.5 years, it's deteriorated considerably. Erol, the boss, is always friendly and knows his customers, but the employees can't make this happen. I've tried several times with a second chance, but it's not what it used to be. The prices are getting more and more expensive, the portions smaller, and the quality worse. I had a kebab with hardly any meat in it, and the lettuce wasn't green anymore. The onions are sometimes too spicy or bitter, probably cut with a blunt knife or something else beforehand. The employees top the kebab backwards, starting with the lettuce, while the boss always starts with the meat. But of course, fill it with lettuce first, then you can save on meat. I once ordered a small fries, and they packed me a pair that had been sitting for a few minutes. By the time the kebab was ready, they were cold, and they cost €4. Even if the kebab across the street isn't a real highlight in terms of taste, I always get the same quality here. At Deniz's, it's become a mixed bag. The daily reports for €10 have also become too expensive; I got an eggplant with a spoonful of rice, which was really outrageous. Employees don't listen either; a customer orders bulgur, and the employee turns to a colleague and says "with rice." If you ask beforehand, listen to the customer. It's very annoying when you get something different than what you ordered, especially given the prices. Of course, all costs have increased, but it's no longer proportionate here. Either you raise the prices while maintaining the same portion size, or you make the portions smaller for the same price. But smaller and more expensive is a no-go. The old skewers go back on the grill in the evening when the new ones are empty, and you can taste it. Refreezing meat that was frozen and then thawed isn't that tasty either. I wish something would change for the better. You can also observe customers leaving when certain employees are there.

The food is mostly very delicious, but you can only pay in cash. Why??? It’s annoying and also please travel to 2025 soon, we are all here already. Thanks! Really tasty and fresh food on offer. It is an Imbiss but offers good variety of several Turkish food from baked Nudels, different sort of stew, falafel, baklawa to everyones favorite Döner which was excellent. Staff is really nice and good hosts.

Deniz is without question the best kebab shop around! Here you can immediately tell that the work is done with love and passion. The meat skewers are homemade, which you can immediately tell from the taste - simply top quality and super juicy! But vegetarians also get their money's worth here, because the vegetarian offering is varied and really tasty. Another highlight: The food is cooked fresh every day, and you can taste it in every bite. No matter whether it's kebab, plated meals or side dishes - everything is super tasty and perfectly seasoned. And the entire team is always friendly and in a good mood, even when the store is really full. If you like fresh, delicious food and the best service, you should definitely visit Deniz. I've lived here for a really long time and have always remained loyal to the store. But what I got there today as "Dürüm Döner" really defies any description: 100g, (if at all) scraped together (the grills were already out), ice-cold meat, in an industrial shop that only saw the grill for 10 seconds. Everything ice cold for €7. Last time for me. Diagonally opposite there is the “Kebab World”. The Lahmancun and the bread for the Dürüm come freshly baked from the pizza oven and not from the contact grill or the microwave. Sorry guys. But since mom is no longer there, the quality has continuously declined. I held you back for a really long time for the kebab you made yourself. But then I prefer to eat hot industrial kebab. Sorry, today was the last time.

I can't understand some of the comments here at all. Deniz Imbiß is a real treasure just waiting to be discovered. The vegetarian plate is a little different every time, as there are new dishes on display almost every time you visit. And every time he's great. Fresh, rich, exciting at a really fair price. The falafel, for example, is also great. You can tell that the operators here cook to the best of their ability, I have already described the result. I always enjoy coming back and can say that my wishes were taken into account on my first visit. So: Try it out and don't let the comments here confuse you.

All in all for me one of the best kebabs in Düsseldorf. Especially when it comes to the vegetarian selection. This is simply outstanding and diverse and therefore tastes unrivaled for me! It's also fairly priced and that's why I can't understand why people demand an exceptional ambience here or classify a lack of ambience as negative. What are the expectations of a kebab shop? 😅 We really enjoy going here and would love to come back. :)

Update: Die alten Mitarbeiter sind weg, neue sind gekommen. Gerade einer macht Döner, Lamacun oder die Reisbox wirklich sehr lecker und geizt nicht rum. Daher jetzt 5 Sterne, denn es gibt nichts mehr zu meckern. Kann man eigentlich nicht nur auf Döner reduzieren. Dafür gibt es einfach eine zu große Auswahl an selbstgemachten Gerichten, aber ich muss zugeben, dass ich dort überwiegend wegen des sehr guten Döners da bin. Tatsächlich für mich die Nummer 1 in Düsseldorf vor Yede Gör, Saray, Dene Gör etc. Auch der Lamacun ist sensationell gut, sowie die Reisbox. Das war mal: Früher war allerdings wesentlich mehr Fleisch auf den Gerichten, das wurde inzwischen drastisch reduziert. Gerade beim Lamacun. Der ist inzwischen so dünn, das man auch nicht mehr satt wird. Allerdings treffe ich auch nur noch auf die Mitarbeiter, statt auf den Besitzer. Der macht die Portionen noch wie früher. Deshalb gibt es einen Stern Abzug, weil satt will ich schon werden. Aber von der Qualität, Sauberkeit und Geschmack der Gerichte sind es eigentlich 5 Sterne.

Der Chef ist freundlich, aber seine Mitarbeiter leider sehr unfreundlich. Man fühlt sich nicht willkommen. Essen ist okay, aber der Krautsalat viel zu süß!

Super leckerer Döner, absolut empfehlenswert!

Leider fand ich ein Haar an meinem Döner, den ich zum Mitnehmen gekauft habe. Leider wird in diesem Geschäft generell die Hygiene etwas nachgelassen. Zudem sah es nicht wirklich einladend aus, dort einen Döner zu kaufen. Der Laden ist sowohl von außen als auch von innen langweilig gestaltet. Es gibt deutlich bessere Dönerläden als diesen hier in Düsseldorf. Allerdings war geschmacklich der Döner in Ordnung. Das Kalbfleisch war von seiner Qualität (Bissfestigkeit & Geschmack) nicht sehr überzeugend, alles Andere hingegen schon. Die Zutaten waren frisch.

Hier gibt es sehr, sehr leckeren Döner mit Rotkohlsalat! Hmmmmh! Preise sind angemessen. Die Jungs sind nett und fröhlich bei der Arbeit. Da alles frisch zubereitet wird, dauert es manchmal, aber das Warten lohnt sich! "Ambiente"? Hey, es ist eine Imbißbude!

Wahnsinn: Ich wurde lustig gemacht, als ich gefragt hab ob das Fleisch Halal ist. Die Mitarbeitern gemeinsam mit zwei anderen Kunden haben auf Türkisch über mich geredet und gelacht.

ein sehr durchschnittliches Essen bzw. Döner (Hähnchen) der Rest sah aber echt gut aus und Vorallem sauber. Die Mitarbeiter waren nett 👍🏼

Ich persönlich nehme immer den "vegetarischen Teller", der extrem lecker schmeckt :-) Es gibt eine große Auswahl an vegetarischen Gerichten & Salaten und die Preise sind fair.

Die Frau am Telefon hat uns beim bestellen falsch verstanden und ist dann total unfreundlich geworden als wir Sie auf den fehlenden Reis in der Reisbox hingewiesen haben, nachdem wir das Essen abgeholt hatten. Statt uns entgegen zukommen, fing sie an zu schreien und die Schuld auf uns zu schieben. Außerdem hätten wir ja sowieso wenig bezahlt (Was ist das für eine Aussage??), danach hat sie einfach aufgelegt… Ich habe hier oft und gerne gegessen, aber so eine Verkäuferin geht gar nicht! Das war leider das letzte mal.

Wirklich ein vorbildlicher türkischer Imbiss mit wechselnden Tagesangeboten und sehr gutem Döner. Dazu ein Inhaber, der sehr auf den Kunden eingeht und sogar ein kleines "Terrässchen" vor der Türe.

Ohne nachzudenken der Beste Türkische laden in Düsseldorf. Das Brot knusprig und knackig die Fleisch sehr saftig und Geschmackvoll. Einfach nur Top . Ich bedanke mich vielmals and die Mitarbeitern die jeden Tag eine super Arbeit leisten.

Leckerer Döner, einige Dinge selbst gemacht (soßen, Fleischwürzung). 👍 Zwei Punkte ziehe ich ab, da der Döner ziemlich klein ist. Ich würde sagen, dass er ungefähr halb so gut gefüllt war, wie man es sonst von den Döner Imbissen kennt. Dennoch 6€ inzwischen (Stand 01/23). Schafskäse (der nicht besonders schmeckt) mit 1€ für kleinste stückchen ziemlich unverschämt..
