After six years, I finally returned to the Achterdiek. A lot has changed since then. The lobby has been beautifully decorated with seating areas and corners. Many things remain as special as ever. The service was excellent, with nice or special touches. My room (single room) was furnished with a clear understanding of the guest's actual needs.

We always have the best time here. The food is fantastic and the service is absolutely top! Attentive and super personable. The best address on Juist to have a great evening. I can't recommend anything more, especially with children. Thanks to the team for giving us such joy every time!

Food didn't convince me. Bacon-wrapped dates were swimming in red wine and were therefore soggy and wobbly. Food really extremely expensive! The ambience and service are absolutely great.

Very inviting from the outside, functionally furnished inside. Here, too, "island prices," but unfortunately, the food was very average. The kibbeling looked like a convenience store item, the French fries were dry, and the traditional herring fillet consisted of two different types of herring (possibly fresh and not so fresh fish) and a ready-made mayonnaise with onions and no cucumber. Disappointing, but the portions were generous and the white wine tasted very good.

You still can't say anything bad about the place. The friendliness sometimes leaves a lot to be desired, but that shouldn't be part of the application. The food is super delicious and you can eat really nice on site. In the end, let's not talk about the price. It's become incredibly expensive, as is the case with everything on Juist. Everything else is great

The food was very tasty and the view is amazing. It's especially nice because the restaurant is located right at the entrance to the beach and after eating the delicious food you can take a short or long (however funny) walk on the beach. The staff is super polite and accommodating, I love it. Juist is simply a stunningly beautiful place

A dusty, seventies-style ambiance. The food was rather mediocre. The fish was overcooked, so the underside was dry and hard. The salad could have used a bit more dressing. The service was very friendly.

Not recommended! First we had to wait 40 minutes before we could even order, then the food came cold. A complaint was made, but neither the pizza Tonno €18 nor the pasta al’arrabiata €19 were worth their price. We didn't particularly like the atmosphere either. Last but not least, no one came to pay us even though we asked for it, so we were able to see the waitress ourselves. Really a shame about the evening and the money!
