Hello, Once again, my visit to my favorite island, Juist, combined as always with a stay at the Romantik Hotel Achterdiek, resulted in a wonderful and relaxing time. For me, the Romantik Hotel Achterdiek is truly an "island within an island," absolutely convincing in every aspect. Here, the well-being of the guests is paramount. The staff is always 100% friendly (and genuinely so), warm, attentive, and always helpful without being intrusive. You feel truly welcome from the very first moment. The food, where Mr. Danzer himself is still personally in the kitchen as head chef, is simply brilliant. Of course, it's all top-quality organic produce, fresh, flavorful, and lovingly prepared; every meal is a highlight in itself. (In my opinion, by far the best cuisine on the island). The staff is supported by Mrs. Danzer and her daughter, who, despite their many responsibilities, always take the time for a friendly chat. The entire Danzer family has remained down-to-earth. The accommodation itself leaves nothing to be desired, including the wellness area with its swimming pool and large sauna area with relaxation rooms. The rooms are clean, tidy, and furnished with a warm, family-like feel, making you feel right at home. Everything is well-maintained and lovingly furnished, and the dining room deserves special mention. It is warm, stylish, and decorated with great attention to detail. The harmonious lighting, the cozy atmosphere, and the tasteful design ensure that every meal takes place in a particularly pleasant setting. You immediately feel comfortable there and are happy to linger a little longer. It's no wonder that the Romantik Hotel Achterdiek has received numerous prestigious awards over the years, which perfectly reflect what guests experience: exceptional hospitality, excellent quality, and an ambiance created with heartfelt care. It's wonderful to see that the hotel's outstanding work is consistently recognized officially. I am always grateful that I was able to spend a little time there and I'm already looking forward to the next time... Thank you to the entire Achterdiek team for this consistently wonderful stay.

A very pleasant, family-run romantic hotel where you can feel at home in every season. Wonderful rooms, the most beautiful of which are those with a southern view of the Wadden Sea. A very good breakfast buffet that leaves nothing to be desired, and an equally excellent five-course dinner menu with choices included in the half-board option. Indoor swimming pool with large windows overlooking the garden and sauna area. Very professional and friendly service. The charming Danzer family, the owners, are always present.

We've been going to the Hotel Achterdiek on Juist for almost 20 years now. A few days are enough for us to completely switch off from our everyday lives. This wonderful hotel plays a large part in that. It's not just the beautiful, bright, and spacious rooms and the fantastic food. It's not just the fact that this hotel is constantly being renovated—this time, the attic rooms on the third floor. Above all, it's the extremely friendly, polite, and relaxed staff. You can tell that the people who work here feel comfortable in their workplace because they are treated with respect and treated with dignity despite their differences. This certainly won't be the last time we stay here!

This beautifully furnished hotel, furnished with great attention to detail, is a true oasis of peace. The lovingly landscaped garden invites you to linger, and the entire hotel exudes a relaxed, warm, and stylish atmosphere. Our stay at the Hotel Achterdiek on Juist from April 21 to May 2 was wonderful for my wife and me. We experienced a great customer service focus at the hotel. The staff took great care of us. There were many familiar faces among the staff. We would love to return to the Achterdiek for another vacation this year.

We stayed at the Hotel Achterdiek for a week and can honestly say, "We were very satisfied." A rich breakfast buffet, a consistently delicious, tasty, and varied evening menu, as well as friendly, attentive service, etc. We would gladly return.

It's important to note that what the Danzer family and the team have achieved in the past few years since taking over the hotel is simply magnificent. Hats off! A beautiful, tranquil island with a dreamy beach. A wide selection of excellent restaurants. The cuisine at the magnificent Hotel Achterdiek is the best. Everything is freshly cooked and delicious. Served with love, you don't need anything more. The hotel rooms and fine dining are at their finest in magnificent surroundings. A superb pool with a fine sauna area. There's also a fitness room and a wonderful bar for a wonderful nightcap. A fine selection of wines and spirits. Everything is a great pleasure.

A pleasant atmosphere in all areas: rooms, common areas, seating areas, and the restaurant! Every evening meal was simply excellent! The breakfast was generous. You never felt rushed between courses. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. No expense is spared on the service team; we were always pleasantly surprised by how many of the service staff are already taking care of guests in the morning. You always get the feeling that the focus is on providing the best possible experience for the guest. The sauna area is top-notch.

After six years, I finally returned to the Achterdiek. A lot has changed since then. The lobby has been beautifully decorated with seating areas and corners. Many things remain as special as ever. The service was excellent, with nice or special touches. My room (single room) was furnished with a clear understanding of the guest's actual needs.

At the Hotel Achterdiek, pure well-being is the order of the day. The service is very attentive and the kitchen offers a varied range of the most delicious menus.

Once again we spent very relaxing days at the Hotel Achterdiek on Juist. Everything was perfect: the room, the service, the food. The atmosphere is personal but not intrusive. Arrival and departure as well as luggage transfer are taken care of. Particularly noteworthy is the very attentive service in the restaurant and, above all, we enjoyed the perfect preparation of fish. Two stays have already been reserved for next year.

Very nice hotel with excellent cuisine, a great team and a very nice location! The wine cellar and bar are also not to be despised. All in all, highly recommended!

Even as a repeat offender, this hotel is still great. Hotel lobby and rooms have a Frisian touch, pool always clean. Breakfast and dinner - without words! Selection, taste and presentation, accompanying drinks - just fabulous! Guests' wishes are taken into account (big thanks to Mr. Danzer, lobster and truffles send their regards). The staff deserve the greatest praise, always present without being intrusive, polite, helpful and competent. An all-round great package that I can only recommend.

Juist Achterdiek Romantik Hotel 🏨 We have been to this beautiful hotel several times and were again spoiled with delicious food and drink. It starts with the excellent breakfast and in the afternoon with the selection of cakes and waffles with a pot of tea and a mug of coffee. In the evening you will be surprised with a starter buffet and excellent dishes. Always happy to stay with the Danzer family and the attentive service staff, thank you for the wonderful time!

Ich werde definitiv wiederkommen, weil das gesamte Paket von der Ankunft bis hin zur Abreise sehr angenehm war. Ich fahre nun seit mehr als 40 Jahren auf diese wunderschöne Insel, war aber diesmal zum ersten Mal im Achterdiek. Und, es ist ein perfekter Ort um zu entspannen. Zimmer, das gesamte Ambiente, das Frühstück, das Danzer‘s am Abend mit seinen abwechslungsreichen Menüs und das Hotelteam bekommen von mir eine 10 von 10. Wirklich sehr empfehlenswert!
