They still cook for real. All hell breaks loose on Saturday evening. Then you just have to wait a little. But it's worth it. Quality is excellent. I haven't eaten such good quality food in a long time. Service friendly and always on the ball.
I was here in Wiesbaden for work and stopped by this incredibly cozy restaurant. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a relaxing evening in a rustic setting with great music from the 1970s and excellent food.
And all that with friendly and fast service at reasonable prices.
I wish there were more great restaurants like this.
As soon as you enter the “Uwe und Uli” restaurant you can feel that warmth meets culinary skills here. The ambience is pleasantly informal, stylish, without seeming artificial - but what really made the evening unforgettable was the staff. With a fine sense of humor, genuine hospitality and attentive service, the visit was an all-round successful experience.
5 stars – A culinary highlight in Bad Homburg
We have been to the Lancora three times since March - and each time it has been a wonderful experience. The food is simply outstanding: the highest quality, the finest ingredients and a preparation that is rarely found. We were particularly impressed by the trio of fish, the truffle spaghetti as an intermediate course and of course the large fish platter with boiled potatoes and spinach - everything to the point, wonderfully fresh and full of flavor.
You can immediately tell that the cooking here is done with passion - the fish is extremely fresh and the flavors are perfectly balanced. The service is also top: very friendly, attentive staff who make the visit something special every time.
Lancora has long since become a regular restaurant for us - we can't get enough!
Unreserved recommendation for all fish lovers and connoisseurs.
A beautiful little wine bar with pleasant seating, delicious drinks, and not just run-of-the-mill food, but truly amazing creations – making it hard to choose.
My tip: make a reservation. But then nothing will stand in the way of a great evening! (As we discovered ourselves during our visit.)
The first time yesterday in “Leib und Seele” in Griesheim. The food, cooked cheese schnitzel with fried potatoes, came quickly and was very tasty. However, a very large portion.
Dessert, vanilla ice cream with hot raspberries, wasn't that good. The ice was already crystallizing.
The service was very friendly and always available quickly despite the busy restaurant.
The ambience is a bit dignified, I liked it.
Unfortunately the restaurant has been closed since June 1st, 2024.
I tried to order something here twice. The first time you couldn't pay by card. The second time we wanted to order a large menu - we chose for a long time and then went to the counter to order. However, the woman immediately rejected us. At first she simply said “no,” then she asked how long we were willing to wait. We replied that we would wait as long as it took. But the owner said in an unfriendly and harsh tone that she would not make a large order. That was neither polite nor customer friendly.
Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place.
I can fully recommend the dumplings. Absolutely delicious!! I especially enjoyed the cheeseburger dumpling, which directly imitates the real taste of the burger...
