Sehr leckerer Dumpling-Spot mit super netter und herzlicher Bedienung. Obwohl Sonntagabend war, war überraschend wenig los, wodurch alles angenehm entspannt war. Es gibt auch ein paar Plätze draußen, die Atmosphäre dort ist eher schlicht, aber völlig okay zum gemütlichen Essen. Schade nur, dass der Tofu an dem Abend schon ausverkauft war. Die Preise sind für die Portionsgröße und Auswahl etwas höher angesetzt, geschmacklich war es aber trotzdem wirklich gut. Würde wiederkommen!

Unscheinbares Restaurant aber herausragendes Angebot an Dumplings! Qualität stimmt und Variation ist reichlich vorhanden. Für Dumplings und Co. kann ich das lokal nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Das Dumplinghouse war für uns eine kulinarische Überraschung, die deutlich über klassische Dumpling-Erwartungen hinausgeht. Schon beim ersten Blick auf die Karte wird klar: Hier ist alles Handmade und mit viel Liebe zum Detail umgesetzt. Wir probierten drei Dessert-Variationen sowie herzhafte Dumplings und die Crispy Chicken Bao. Die Apple Pie Dumplings kamen knusprig gebacken, gefüllt mit Apfelkuchen-Aromen, begleitet von Vanilleeis und Amarena-Kirsche – warm und kalt perfekt kombiniert. Die Bananella Dumplings mit Bananen-Nutella-Füllung und Karamell waren süß, intensiv und sehr rund im Geschmack. Das absolute Highlight waren die Mango Crumble Dumplings: gefüllt mit Mangostücken in Lotus-Spekulatius-Creme, dazu Vanilleeis, frisches Mango-Püree und Lotus-Crumble – extrem kreativ und geschmacklich außergewöhnlich. Auch die herzhaften Varianten mit Hähnchen und Beef Bulgogi waren absolut lecker und sauber zubereitet, wenn auch die Dessert-Dumplings für uns klar im Mittelpunkt standen. Das Crispy Chicken Bao, war unserer Meinung nach kein Highlight, allerdings liegt ihre Stärke eher auf den Dumplings. Dazu wählten wir eine Fritz Rhabarberschorle sowie eine Fritz Limo Apfel-Kirsch-Holunder. Der Service war durchgehend freundlich, aufmerksam und sehr angenehm. Highlight: Mango Crumble Dumplings – kreativ, intensiv und absolut einzigartig. Fazit: Ein Ort, der Dumplings neu definiert – besonders im Dessertbereich ein echtes Erlebnis. Tipp: Unbedingt mindestens eine Dessert-Variante mit Eis und Frucht wählen – genau hier liegt die Stärke.

Wir hatten hier ein wirklich tollen Abend. Erstmal wurden wir liebevoll über den Aufbau der Speisekarte informiert. Danach haben wir wahrscheinlich jedes vegetarische Gericht auf der Karte probiert und waren begeistert über die geschmackliche Vielfalt. Es war tatsächlich sehr voll und eine Reservierung kann nicht schaden. Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall öfter zu kommen, um die große Auswahl an Dumplings mit verschiedenen Dips zu probieren. Ganz toll, macht weiter so!

Es war herausragend! Von der Begrüßung bis zur Bezahlung wurden wir sehr freundlich bedient. DIe Dumplings waren sehr lecker und mit dem Soßen zusammen ein Genuss. Man sitzt auf den Bänken zwar etwas unbequem, dies gehört jedoch zum Gesamtkonzept und ist deshalb wieder in sich stimmig. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und können es auch jedem weiterempfehlen.

Waren zum ersten Mal dort! Durch Insta aufmerksam geworden! Wir haben es nicht bereut! Sehr leckeres und frisch zubereitetes Essen mit einer guten Auswahl. Aufmerksame und sehr freundlich Bedienung! Man bekommt auf Wunsch die unterschiedlichen Speisen ausführlich erklärt! Reservierung vorab ist glaube empfehlenswert. War schon ab 17:30 gut besucht! Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Ein außergewöhnlich gutes kulinarisches Erlebnis. Nicht nur die Dumplings waren super, auch die kundige Beratung und der sympathisch-souveräne Service von Anna-Lee war einfach nur großes Kino. Wir waren kürzlich an einem Sonntag in diesem kleinen Restaurant. Entsprechend gut gefüllt war es auch – was allerdings nicht schwer ist, denn das Lokal ist wirklich sehr klein. Das ist keine Kritik, sondern eine sachliche Feststellung. Es gibt nur wenige Sitzplätze, die Küche liegt direkt hinter dem Tresen, und man kann dem Koch beim Arbeiten zuschauen. Dabei wird schnell klar: Der Laden wird von nur zwei Personen betrieben. Das klingt zunächst nach einer potenziellen Schwachstelle, ist hier aber erstaunlicherweise keine. Gerade wegen der überschaubaren Größe funktioniert der Service sehr gut. Das Personal ist schnell erreichbar, freundlich und aufmerksam. Besonders positiv fand ich, dass auf Wunsch die einzelnen Speisen erklärt werden – statt einfach nur eine Karte zu überreichen. Das wirkt persönlich und zeigt, dass hier jemand hinter dem Konzept steht. Die Speisekarte ist genauso kompakt wie das Lokal selbst. Es gibt Dumplings, Bao Buns und auch Dumplings als Dessert – mehr nicht. Aber genau das ist der Punkt: Hier versucht niemand, es allen recht zu machen. Man geht gezielt für diese Speisen hin. Und die sind durchweg überzeugend. Wir haben uns quer durch die Karte probiert und nichts gegessen, das negativ aufgefallen wäre. Natürlich hat man persönliche Favoriten, aber objektiv war alles sehr gut gemacht. Besonders empfehlen kann ich die Bao Buns – allein dafür komme ich definitiv wieder. Unterm Strich ist das Restaurant eine schöne Abwechslung: klein, fokussiert und auf den Punkt. Sicherlich hätte der Laden Potenzial, sich räumlich zu vergrößern, aber genau die Enge macht auch einen großen Teil des Charmes aus. Wer Dumplings und Bao Buns mag, sollte hier unbedingt vorbeischauen. Klare Empfehlung.

The food was excellent. The selection was both small and large. Many dishes could also be ordered without meat. The ambiance was equally outstanding. The service was very friendly and explained everything clearly, while also being attentive to our small requests. We will definitely come back a second, maybe even a third time.

Incredibly delicious dumplings in a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The special Christmas dumpling with goose filling was simply indescribable. I've traveled extensively for both work and leisure – especially in Asia (China, Taiwan, Japan, but also Thailand and India) – and know many of the original dishes firsthand. That's precisely why the Dumplinghouse surprised me so pleasantly. You shouldn't think of the Dumplinghouse as a classic, traditional Asian restaurant, but rather as a "culinary world tour" where iconic dishes from various countries are creatively packaged in dumplings – and it works surprisingly well. Our selection: - Holy Bangkok Dumplings: They really do taste like Pad Ka Prao in dumpling form – aromatic, spicy, and with real Thai basil. - Beef Bulgogi Dumplings: Very authentic bulgogi flavor, nicely mild, with soft glass noodles and a hint of nashi pear. - Chinese Braised Pork Belly Bao: Succulent, slow-braised pork belly in fluffy bao buns, perfectly balanced with cabbage, cucumber, chili, and peanuts. - Christmas Special Dumplings: Essentially a complete roast goose with red cabbage, dumplings, and gravy, all served in a dumpling – surprisingly harmonious and incredibly delicious. - Bananella Dumplings: Like a French banana-Nutella crêpe, served as a crispy dumpling with vanilla ice cream – a lovely, sweet finish. Everything was expertly prepared, perfectly balanced in flavor, and absolutely worth the price. The ambiance – aside from the view of the street – truly evokes a small, trendy eatery in Japan or Taiwan. You can tell how much passion has gone into this place. The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive. Conclusion: A creative, lovingly run restaurant that impresses with extraordinary ideas while capturing the essence of the respective national cuisines with astonishing authenticity. We love eating here. The food is simply delicious. The staff is very friendly, and you can even watch them working in the open kitchen. Our little kids adore the dumplings. Reservations are a must! We'll definitely be back.

I was there today with my two daughters, and it was a fantastic experience all around! Our expectations were far exceeded. At the beginning, the very friendly server explained the menu to us. We then chose several different dumplings (with chicken, pork, and scampi). The scampi dumplings in sauce were a bit watery, but everything else was delicious. For dessert, there were three different fruit dumplings: apple/cinnamon, mango, and chocolate. They were served warm with a little sauce and each flavor came with a scoop of ice cream – they were amazing! All in all, it was a very enjoyable evening! Parking is quite good in the evening. The restaurant is rather small, so it's advisable to make a reservation. All the other (very positive) reviews are justified! I can also highly recommend the Dumplinghouse.

It was Friday evening and unusually empty, which suited us just fine. The service was very friendly, and the dishes were explained, along with recommendations. All the dumplings and baos were really delicious. The fried chicken was also tasty, but it turned out to be wings. We weren't expecting that and have never had it anywhere else. It was a bit difficult to eat, and consequently, there wasn't much actual chicken on it.

Awesome place! Friendly staff, delicious food, everything super fast, I'm already looking forward to my next visit! Highly recommended if you're in Kassel.

A small, somewhat out of the way shop, but definitely worth a visit. The portions also invite you to share, so we were able to test a few things. And it was all delicious. Clear recommendation.

Let’s be honest … the Fried chicken tasted like nothing but dry and spicy, and the dumplings were fine but price isnt reasonable at all :/ I wouldnt have paid if I could. This is true feedback for better dish next time. But the waitress was very professional and nice :)

We just ate at the Dumplinghouse for the first time and were completely satisfied! The reception was really friendly and relaxed. The menu was explained to us and all 7 different dumplings tasted wonderful! Simply a real feel-good experience :) I would recommend 12-16 dumplings for an adult. We'll be back and are looking forward to trying the other varieties! There are vegetarian and vegan options :)

Clear restaurant recommendation! It may make sense to reserve in advance as places are quite limited. Super friendly welcome, there was even a short "introduction". The food was super tasty. You have to be careful with the momos: it's better not to order them if you never eat anything spicy! Unfortunately it is not marked as sharp on the map. 8 dumplings (plus 3 for dessert) are also completely sufficient. You will definitely be full.

I was recently a guest at this restaurant and I was completely impressed! The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive and accommodating. You immediately felt welcome. But the absolute highlight was the food: every course was a true taste experience, the ingredients were of the highest quality and the preparation was simply perfect. Here you can tell that cooking is done with a lot of love and passion. I would highly recommend this restaurant to any foodie and am looking forward to my next visit! 5 stars are more than deserved here.

Basically you have to say that food tastes really extremely good. However, it is extremely overpriced for what it is. Hi, you also have to sit on really uncomfortable stools. The staff is very friendly and every guest is explained what the process is like.

Leaving a review because we need top quality places like this in Kassel to remain in business! Kassel has a lot of doner and burgers (Berts for the best cheeseburger we've found) but not much in the way of good asian food. Dumplinghouse is great because they are obviously focussing on doing a few dishes (mainly dumplings of course) really well instead of pretending to do a whole heap of different countries cuisines subpar.

The dumplings filled with eggplant are highly recommended and the vegan cheeseburger dumplings are also very tasty. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. The baos with jackfruit were super good too! Highly recommended, I will eat there more often👍

We came across this cute little shop on Friday evening without a reservation and were absolutely thrilled with the food. The waitress was very attentive and helped with the selection. The dumplings were super tasty, always a pleasure.

First of all: The review has become a little more detailed because I really like the restaurant (approx. 2 minutes reading time - story time!). I was in Kassel on a day trip to Wilhelmshöhe Castle and the Bergpark and then fancied Asian food. During my research I came across the Dumplinghouse, which made a very good first impression. I shouldn't be disappointed. (Tip: You can park quite cheaply right in front of the restaurant.) Ambience: The restaurant is rather small in terms of space, but is attractively equipped and decorated; Atmospheric and relaxing music plays in the background. Due to the lack of space, I would recommend reserving in advance as a precaution. The shop still seems to be an insider tip, but that will probably change at some point... ;) Service: To be honest - I would prefer to give this point more than 5 stars. The other reviews also speak for themselves: the lady in black is a real asset for the store. I have rarely felt so well looked after, hats off! Extremely friendly and committed. (I also just noticed that her outfit, including her hairstyle, seems to be based on a character from HxH...damn! xD) Food: Of all the restaurants I've eaten dumplings in so far, this one is right up there with the quality. The baos are actually the best I've had the chance to enjoy so far. A tip for all spiciness lovers: Order the fried chicken with the “really f***ing spicy” option. Many restaurants don't dare to offer really authentic spiciness of their (national) dishes because they are afraid that negative incidents will cause them to fall on their feet. The chefs at Dumplinghouse have found a level of spiciness that may not necessarily blow away spiciness fanatics, but will definitely satisfy them. Respect, you dare! Plus, this fried chicken is not only delicious, it also has by far the best breading I've ever seen. As another review stated, it's "like chips." When I'm back in Kassel, there'll definitely be a check-up visit - with friends! ;)

A great shop with delicious dumplings interpreted in a western style. The only drawback: you smell clearly like a restaurant afterwards ;-) The dumplings are homemade, very tasty and you can order your choice of rich sauces. I particularly like the tofu bao bun and I also really like the vegetarian dumplings. The owner is usually in service himself and is super nice. Despite the decentralized location, or rather it's simply not within my natural radius, I really enjoy going to the Dumpling Haus. It's finally open again after the summer break. It's not exactly cheap in terms of price, but it's definitely worth it.

Dieses Restaurant ist eine echte Bereicherung für Kassel. Man kann dem Chef zuschauen, wie er mit viel Liebe die Dumplings mit der Hand herstellt. Und die schmecken! Genauso wie die Dips und Saucen, die gut abgestimmt sind auf die Füllungen. Schön, dass es auch vegane Varianten gibt. Obwohl ich kein Fan von Au Reginen bin, bin ich total begeisterten den Dumplings mit Auberginenfüllung. Klare Empfehlung.
