We just came back from dinner and it was AMAZING!!! If you remember the restaurant from before, forget it. Everything is newly decorated and immediately makes you feel at home, thanks in part to the extremely friendly service team. The food was delicious, from the welcome from the kitchen to the schnitzel pan to the chocolate cake and the homemade iced tea. A real win for Wolfsanger, and I hope it stays as busy as it is today so I never have to travel far again for a delicious meal! Addition: We celebrated my 60th birthday there with 14 people on October 4, 2025, and it was sooo nice!!! I had discussed the buffet with Mrs. Siegner beforehand, and all the guests were thrilled! Bruschetta as an appetizer on the tables was a huge hit (a suggestion from her), and everything on the buffet was incredibly delicious (see photo of the menu selection). Everything was beautifully prepared in the conservatory, especially the salad bar on the old piano was a real eye-catcher 🤩 And we were accompanied by a young, incredibly friendly waitress who kept an eye on everything at all times and looked after us excellently throughout the evening, whether it was with drinks, setting up and clearing the buffet, or dishes, and always with a smile on her face - thank you for that 🥰! "Lauch" has had a super-friendly team for years anyway; I've never known it any other way, and this evening was a testament to that - thank you so much 💕 And last but not least: The buffet was so well-portioned that the three of us really feasted on the things we brought with us yesterday 😇

Yes, definitely a recommendation! However, the music was a bit too loud, and the tables in the middle of the restaurant weren't lit or barely lit. This made the experience a bit tiring. Very friendly service and delicious food!

Highly recommended. Absolutely delicious food and very friendly and competent staff. The portions are really generous, and the chef's special was a bonus. It's important to reserve a table here. Because it's so good, it's always almost fully booked, and it can sometimes take a while to get drinks or food. We'll definitely be back.

The ambiance is stylish and inviting, and the food was not only extremely delicious, but also plentiful and lovingly prepared. We would especially like to highlight the fantastic service – attentive, warm, and absolutely professional. We also received excellent advice and support during the preparation and follow-up to the event. You can tell: These are still true professionals and hosts with heart and soul. The value for money is absolutely spot on – we would love to come back! P.S.: The goose dinner is also amazing! I'm already looking forward to the Christmas season. :-)

Wir waren zu einem kleinen Familientreffen in Kassel. Eher zufällig stiessen wir auf den goldenen Lauch. Ja schon der Name macht neugierig. Also schnell einen Tisch reserviert und zur vereinbarten Zeit standen wir vor der Tür und wurden herzlich empfangen. Auf der Karte haben wir Roggen-Henner entdeckt, das ist doch mal was anderes. Also bestellten wir 4 verschiedene und waren positiv überrascht. Einzig ein klein wenig mehr gewürzt hätten sie sein können, der blaue auch gerne mit mehr Blauschimmel Geschmack. Der Service war freundlich und sehr aufmerksam, so verliessen wir rundum zufrieden das Restaurant.

This was my first visit to "Goldener Lauch" and I was thrilled. I had the lemon chicken breast fillet – wonderfully juicy, perfectly seasoned, and lovingly presented with fresh vegetables, potatoes, and a small salad. Everything tasted perfect. Even the little details like the sauce and fresh herbs were impressive. I would especially like to highlight the extremely friendly waitress – attentive, warm, and yet unobtrusive. Therefore: Absolutely recommended for anyone who appreciates good food.

We went there for dinner with the family. The food was excellent, the service was very attentive, the seating was very pleasant, and there was a beautiful beer garden outside under a huge chestnut tree. This was our third time eating there, and we'll be back!

Unfortunately, the prices are a bit steep. Which is a shame, because the place is really beautiful, especially outside under the chestnut tree. If you're on a budget, it's nice, but otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it.

It was very loud. It was almost impossible to have a conversation. We waited an hour and 15 minutes for the food, and then we were disappointed. Absolutely terrible!!! The lemon chicken was completely dry with potatoes and no sauce. I could have done better at home.

The Goldener Lauch has made the best of the old village pub. A short but creative menu offers varied regional cuisine in innovative variations. You can reach the restaurant with line 7 of the NVV, without changing from the ICE train station Kassel Wilhelmshöhe in about 35 minutes. A path that is definitely worth it. Perfect food, super friendly and dedicated service and a cozy atmosphere. The prices are very good, the quality is great. 👌 Greetings from the kitchen = bread with homemade chive oil Starter = Parmesan cream soup with Ahler Wurscht & Rye Henner “Alter Römer” Main course = pork fillet medallions in mustard sauce with tarragon & Friedchen's schnitzel. Unfortunately, dessert didn't fit anymore.

To put it briefly, excellent! The ambience is very nice, the service was fantastic and the food was to die for. I have rarely seen a restaurant where everything was so perfect and 100% right. I can absolutely recommend the restaurant and will visit it again myself. But reservation would definitely be an advantage.

However, I wouldn't visit the restaurant alone because it's a bit more expensive, which is beyond my budget. Nevertheless: great restaurant, nice staff, good food and delicious homemade iced tea.

Nach den Beitrag im TV wollten wir es mal selbst ausprobieren. Und nach unserer Erfahrungen kommt leider ein "nie wieder". Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt und zum reservierten Tisch gebracht. Erste Getränke kam echt zügig. Die Süppchen waren lecker. Essen war nicht mehr richtig warm. Die sehr dünnen schweinefiletscheiben waren tot gebraten. Das Steak war so mittelmäßig und auch nicht ganz heiss. Das schnitzel war okay. Getränke gab's nur schleppend. Nachdem wir uns geäußert hatten wurde die Bedienung zusammengeschissen von der Chefin so das es die Gäste es mit bekommen... ein nogo. Für Frierkatzen im Winter nicht im Wintergarten sitzen es war sau kalt und zügig.

Never again After the TV report, we wanted to try it out ourselves. And in our experience, unfortunately, the answer is “never again”. We were greeted warmly and taken to the reserved table. First drinks came really quickly. The soups were delicious. Food was no longer really warm. The very thin slices of pork fillet were fried to death. The steak was so mediocre and not very hot either. The schnitzel was okay. Drinks were slow. After we had commented, the waitress was scolded by the boss so that the guests would notice... a nogo. For cold cats, the winter garden is not very cold in winter.

Delicious food, great ambience and very nice staff! Today we had lunch with 5 people (between 5 and 89 years old). The guest room is very modern and tastefully furnished. There is something for everyone on the menu. Upon request, our little son received a children's portion of schnitzel with fries. There was a delicious greeting from the kitchen, which made us very happy as this is no longer done in many restaurants today. The service is very nice and accommodating. We had garlic bread as a starter, pork fillet, sunflower schnitzel, turkey schnitzel, stuffed schnitzel and a Viennese style schnitzel as a main course! Without exception, everything was fresh and very tasty! The breadings are crispy! We were very satisfied and will definitely come back! Thank you very much for this good first impression 👍

It's a shame that we only found out about this great restaurant today. The only thing that is difficult here is perhaps the stairs and finding the entrance door. Once you're inside, you can rightly enjoy everything else and indulge in culinary delights.

Goose food: It was advertised to us as the best goose in northern Hesse. I can now sign this. Unfortunately you can't give this 6 stars, which would be absolutely deserved. Everything is great!

The red cabbage was a little over-spiced with cinnamon. The sauce was a bit tasteless. But the kicker was the greeting from the kitchen. Chives oil with fresh baguette bread 🤩

Starting with the super delicious homemade lemonade, to the greeting from the kitchen (bread to dip in homemade leek oil), the dumplings with ahler worscht and cooked cheese, right up to the main course - the schnitzel filled with ham and brie with leek knöpfle and cream sauce Finally, a fantastic chocolate ice cream! I have rarely eaten so well! We live 2 hours away and my son (10) really wants to come back! Fries and wild garlic schnitzel were also very good! There were four of us there and everything was excellent: the food is perfect, the service is very good and the staff are really very nice. Of 50 restaurants, I have never had such a delicious homemade iced tea, I can only recommend it.

Were in Kassel on the way through. As a family of four, we found a place here even after 9 p.m. Service was very friendly from the start. Homemade iced tea was refreshing and delicious. All four main courses were delicious. The vegetarian mozzarella ravioli (part of the daily selection) are also recommended. The menu is rather short and the entrance is not entirely clear, but it's worth it. Despite the dozens of restaurants we have visited in our city alone (Nuremberg), this one is now at least in my top 3.

Besonders hervorzuheben ist, dass das Restaurant sehr hundefreundlich ist, was für uns als Hundebesitzer ein großer Pluspunkt ist. Unsere Vierbeiner wurden herzlich willkommen geheißen und fühlten sich ebenso wohl wie wir. Insgesamt ist es das beste Restaurant in Kassel. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und können es jedem wärmstens empfehlen.
