We visited with our children and dog and were thrilled. The food was excellent, the service incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere cozy and quaint… a definite recommendation, especially for families!
Very good and cozy not too big pizzeria, but very nice and friendly atmosphere. Conditions are all nice and you could even watch the pizza maker preparing the pizza. The prosciutto rolls as a starter are awesome. Pizzas, pasta and salads are all very good.
I can recommend it
A lovely little Indian restaurant, modern and stylishly decorated, with delicious food and unique touches. The dishes are served directly on the plate, without the usual warming trays and separate bowls for rice and sauces. Friendly and unobtrusive service. Seven branches. No dogs allowed. Closes at 10 pm.
Great for breakfast! The menu also offers a selection of unusual dishes. There's something for everyone! Special requests are happily accommodated. Highly recommended for a fantastic breakfast in a special atmosphere.
We come to Schwandorf twice a year for business and this time we stopped at the inn again. The food, location, and price are still incredibly good. The dishes are visually appealing, very generous, and absolutely delicious. The service is very, very friendly. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back!
We were here today for Sunday brunch.
We had hoped for more.
The service staff greeted us friendly. The location was modern.
Unfortunately, the salt and pepper shakers were left at our table. However, they were brought to us upon request.
Unfortunately, none of the individual dishes were labeled. This would have looked more appealing and would have been helpful for some allergy sufferers, especially those with intolerances. We enjoyed the freshly prepared egg dishes.
Some platters (cheese/sausage) initially didn't come with cutlery. You had to get it yourself to place the food on your plate.
Jams, spreads, and honey were individually packaged. These could have been presented more thoughtfully. We would have preferred a chocolate spread here.
The appetizer platters were good. Different dressings for the salad would have been nice, like balsamic vinegar or honey mustard, since there was only one available.
The main courses were unfortunately disappointing for us. The fish was overcooked. We would have also appreciated some sauces, as the rice, potatoes, or croquettes were generally too dry.
The dessert buffet was small but good. We really enjoyed the chocolate mousse.
Overall, we felt the subtleties and loving details were missing.
We were delighted with the food at the restaurant. Very high quality and delicious. The service also deserves special mention. We'll definitely be back!

Piccola Toscana – Cozy, Delicious, and the Best Italian in Town
Piccola Toscana is, hands down, the best Italian restaurant in town. I’ve tried a few others in the area, and this family-owned gem stands out by far. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the service is friendly and attentive, and the food is solid—especially for the region.
It’s not the best Italian food I’ve ever had, but it’s genuinely good, especially considering how affordable it is. The wine selection is nice, and everything feels thoughtfully prepared. I actually ended up going two nights in a row—the first night was great, and I knew I could count on a second enjoyable meal the next evening.
The space is very small, which adds to the charm, but if you’re going with more than two or three people, definitely make a reservation. There are only a couple of proper tables. That said, there’s a long bar where couples can usually find a seat pretty easily.
Bottom Line:
Piccola Toscana is a cozy, reliable Italian spot with great service, good food, and an authentic feel. Perfect for couples or small groups looking for a relaxed, satisfying meal without breaking the bank.
