Definitely not going to this restaurant. We were served raw meat. The chicken smelled foul and the minced meat skewer was still raw. The veal wasn't cooked through either and tasted like rubber. I don't even want to get started on the taste. They even messed up the salad. It wasn't fresh and had no dressing. It was just a bunch of carelessly thrown together greens. The entire meal ended up in the trash... We paid €50 for the duhok plate, two minced meat skewers, and a salad. It's a disgrace.

We visit Tegernsee at least once a year, but every time we visit, we eat at the Fehner Schmiede and are always (yes, always) extremely satisfied because: top-notch service🥇, top-notch food🥇, and excellent value for money! Many thanks to the entire team!!! There are always classics and always new, great things.

Hello! Cool location, great food, confusing parking garage. August 12, 2025, I invited my Lower Bavarian culinary friends to lunch at Johann's. Great location! Round tables inside, thumbs up. The four of us were allowed to sit outside when angels go out to eat. Starter: Ox tartare, amazing taste, although I prefer hand-carved...many roads lead to Lower Bavaria, the main thing is taste, and it was amazing. Main course: Gockel, amazing main course with the sides...but, wrong sauce!!! Had the same mustard-based sauce as my neighbor to the left. Tasted amazing, that's what counts! Dessert: Snickers...a revelation...don't know if anyone tried to crack the "peanut"...? Dear Schmackofatz, I highly recommend lunch at Johann's, and I'd also like to point out the great value for money! I'd love to come back with the Schätzlhof crew! Thanks to the kitchen, the service and to J.J.Prüm, for the best "peach" slap in 0.1 ever...I have the honor

We were there as guests at a wedding. The staff was extremely friendly and always worked at their best. The garden itself is also very beautiful. It's nice to linger there for a few minutes.

We spent our 5th wedding anniversary here and deliberately chose the "Romantic Hotel" – unfortunately, it was anything but romantic. Even at the reception, we had to wait several minutes in the entrance area before anyone even attended to us. Despite having made a prior reservation with the express request for an outdoor table and mentioning our anniversary, we were simply seated in the parlor. Only after we had indicated this and waited about 20 minutes were we allowed to move to an outside table. There was no special decoration or attention to the wedding anniversary at all – a shame, especially for a hotel that calls itself a "Romantic Hotel." The culinary experience was a mixed bag: The appetizers were really good, but the beef fillet (just under €100) was disappointing – overcooked, tough, and not up to the standard you'd expect. My wife's main course was very good, but overall, the negative impression outweighed the positive. In the end, we paid just under €300 for the evening and left disappointed. For such a special occasion, we would have expected more care, attention, and, above all, better service. Unfortunately, our wedding day turned into a disappointing experience that we will forever associate with this venue.

A fantastic experience at this restaurant. The kind waiter, who also speaks Italian, seated us at a more private table. The menu is extensive, and it wasn't easy for us to choose, but once we placed our order, it arrived very quickly. The lamb is fantastic, as are the chicken and chickpeas. The sauce and spices are spectacular, with just the right spiciness and the complexity of spices that characterizes their cuisine. The rice and naan bread are also delicious. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

To be honest, my curry wasn't very good. It was completely oily and there wasn't much meat in it. It also looked really unappetizing, unfortunately.

The restaurant doesn’t give off a trendy/young vibe, but rather a more traditional one. Still the food was perfectly executed. We had the tasting menu, and loved every bite!

On this year's bike tour along the Altmühl Valley Cycle Path, it was clear to us from the start: a stop at "Zum Höllbräukeller" was a must. Two years ago, we visited the restaurant for the first time – and even then, we were completely enthralled. The memories of the creative cuisine, the warm service, and the special atmosphere have stayed with us ever since. This year, we wanted to experience exactly that again – and our hopes were beautifully confirmed. The dishes are a true feast for the palate: imaginatively composed, with fresh ingredients and great attention to detail. You can tell that the food here isn't just cooked, but celebrated with passion. Every plate tells its own little story – and we enjoyed reading it. The service was just as warm and attentive as the first time. It almost feels like visiting good friends who also happen to be excellent cooks. For us, the Höllbräukeller has long been more than just a restaurant – it has become an integral part of our tour. A place where you feel comfortable, enjoy yourself, and enjoy spending time. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

The hosts are so friendly! Everyone is so nice, friendly, and super sweet to the children! The food is also delicious – we're completely satisfied every time. We always enjoy coming to the Schützenwirt. All the best for your future!
