We chose Jörg Sonnenschein as our caterer for our wedding two weeks ago. We celebrated in the neighboring town. He delivered the food, and everything went perfectly. Top-notch service, top-notch food, and plenty for everyone. Very friendly and always available. Of the dishes, we and our guests particularly enjoyed the beetroot carpaccio, the grilled salmon in white wine sauce, and the loin in pepper and cognac sauce. His service was also very attentive and friendly. Thank you very much, and we would definitely order again.

We booked the catering for the ASB staff party in Kronach from the team at Gasthaus Sonnenschein, especially Chef Sunny, and it was outstanding! For approximately 100 people, nothing was left to be desired. From the appetizers to the various main courses and desserts, everyone enjoyed everything.

We didn't have a reservation and felt warmly welcomed. It was the last free table. Oh, the schnitzel was so plentiful (actually, it was two schnitzels) and delicious. The portions of fries were generous, and the currywurst was equally delicious. Both the waiters (a man and a woman) were very attentive. Top-notch service. Greetings to Kronach, my hometown. 👋 The small, cozy beer garden in the Rosenau is the icing on the cake.

The food is absolutely delicious. But what's missing is the super-friendly waitress with the dreadlocks. Unfortunately, she's no longer working there, which is a shame. She was always friendly and very professional.

I'd call it a "Franconian Inn+." Delicious food, including vegan and vegetarian options, a warm atmosphere, great service, and a pleasant ambiance. Prices remain fair. Make a reservation!

Beautiful restaurant in the charming town of Kronach. Five of us were here with our child and dog. The menu isn't particularly extensive, but there's something for every taste. All the dishes, such as wild herb salad with burrata, spinach dumplings with sage butter, cheese spaetzle, and schnitzel dishes, were of very good quality and lovingly prepared. The service was very friendly, attentive, and courteous. We had a wonderful dinner here and can highly recommend the Gasthaus Sonnenschein.

The service is excellent, requests are fulfilled, the staff is always kind and friendly, and the food is simply fabulous. We and our guests were extremely satisfied. We ate here for the first time today with two adults and two children. The food came very quickly, even though it was quite busy. Everything was really good and beautifully presented. The three waitresses were very friendly and attentive. The ambiance was also nice. The price/performance ratio was absolutely reasonable. In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in Kronach. The food is truly excellent, and vegetarians and vegans also have a wide selection of really good food. We celebrated our son's confirmation at the Sonnenschein Inn. All of our requests were taken into account in advance, we received excellent advice, and our questions via email, Instagram, etc. were answered quickly. On the day of the celebration, everything was perfectly prepared and our decorations were in place. The inn provided the floral arrangements. The food and service were top-notch! The prices are also absolutely fair. I definitely recommend it!

On May 16, we visited the Gasthaus Sonnenschein near Appels Max in Kronach with our family. We'd heard a lot of praise, but finally wanted to see for ourselves. It was worth it. We received a very friendly and courteous welcome, hardly had to wait, the service was extremely attentive, the food was superbly presented and tasted excellent. The rump steak was cooked to perfection, the ox cheeks melted in your mouth, the asparagus dish was delicious, and the salmon and Skrei duet was a delight. The only downside that evening was our stomachs, which unfortunately couldn't handle any more of these outstanding delicacies. We traveled by train from Thuringia to eat at the Sonnenschein restaurant. The service was super friendly, the food was a poem, just the way it was presented on the plates. Very good food, very good service

We had ordered catering for around 50 people for a birthday party. Pork loin, chicken breast and salmon with various side dishes and desserts. Everything went well organizationally and everything tasted great. Gladly again at any time 👍

It was our wedding anniversary yesterday and we wanted to have a really nice and tasty meal again. Our choice fell on sunshine at Appels Max. We made the right decision. When I made the reservation, I asked that it be a little nicer (according to the occasion). That's exactly how it was implemented. The table was set with a white tablecloth and cloth napkins, candles and flowers completed the whole picture. The food was a dream. The service was very attentive, friendly and quick. There was only a lot of room for improvement in terms of taste... Both main courses were enjoyable, but nothing that was particularly positive in your memory. We were delivered food for our wedding from Gasthaus Sonnenschein to Cafè Kitsch. We felt very well advised and looked after right from the start and were not disappointed. Moderate food. Lucas Cranach Schnitzel was a ready-made schnitzel with tasteless bacon cubes and gratinated with cheese. The onions were missing. A few fries that tasted extremely fatty. Not recommended for the price.

Found the restaurant via TripAdvisor, because we are vegetarian, we always check the menu first for options. There were enough of them. Until we got the small menu there, because the Grill was broken. Therefore, only a choice of two. Very sad and a bit disappointed. Couldn't the cook have said greetings in a different way? You don't just need a grill for vegetarian dishes.

Nice, quiet inn in the middle of Kronach's old town, we ordered lunch on Sunday and took a stroll through Kronich. I love game, so we had roast venison with mixed dumplings, i.e. Thuringian and bread dumplings. The game was buttery, the dumplings were a dream, with a Gampert, it was perfect. The chef personally asked everyone if they enjoyed it, it couldn't be more personal - definitely recommended

Rustic traditional restaurant that, thank God, breaks with the tradition of some of the previous owners - the food now tastes excellent, the service is attentive and friendly, the furnishings and details in the various guest rooms, even in the toilet, are lovingly selected and invite you to linger . In summer we recommend visiting the beer garden and especially the great snack.

Highly recommended catering. Sunny, his Jemny and the whole team took over the catering for our wedding. Planning, preparation, organization and, last but not least, the food and drinks were first class. We would rely on Sunny again at any time and leave the organization to him. In addition to the pure catering, he helped us organize the location at Rosenberg Fortress, provided us with the photographer, DJ, carriage, photo box and much more. All in all, he ensured a successful celebration and made it possible for us to organize our wedding, even though we live abroad and were only able to arrive two weeks before the date. First class! We ate there with 7 people and everyone found something tasty. On the second evening we went to another restaurant, but the conclusion was that everyone liked it better at the Sonnenschein guesthouse.
