Waldschänke im Stübental in Kronach

Eine wirklich tolle Waldschänke – sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Die Bedienungen waren ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam, was den Besuch noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Preislich absolut fair und geschmacklich hervorragend. Die Portionen sind groß. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen definitiv wieder. Ein großes Lob an die Küche für das tolle Essen.

Waren heute dort essen. Ich hatte Roulade, mein Sohn Pfefferrahmbraten. Alles hat prima geschmeckt und die Portionen sind richtig groß. Das Service-Personal ist absolut spitze. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Alles super lecker, nette Servicekräfte, tolles Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Die Schaukel wäre das einzige, die neu fixiert gehörte und vielleicht so n kleiner Spielplatz 😬

Rund 1,5 Stunden auf das Essen gewartet, und in dieser Zeit ist man darauf hingewiesen worden, das es so nach und nach so gut wie keine Beilagen mehr zu dem Essen gibt. Nie wieder!!!

Waren zum Abendessen dort. Man sollte reservieren. Das Essen und der Salate waren richtig lecker. Schon lange kein so gutes Schnitzel mehr gegessen. Sehr freundliche Bedienung.

Wo soll ich anfangen. Schon bei der Ankunft bemerkte man das hier die Liebe zum Detail im Vordergrund steht. Die Dekoration der Außenanlage ist wirklich wunderschön. Wir CB Funkfreunde Hassberge hatten einen Tisch für 10 Personen bestellt. Der Tisch, wie die ganze Schänke war sehr gemütlich. Urig und modern in einem. Wir bekamen von der sehr netten Bedienung die Speisekarten gereicht und ich war auf dem ersten Blick geschockt. In der heutigen Zeit wo alles teurer wird , war diese Speisekarte wirklich noch sehr günstig. Als die ersten Portionen an uns vorbeigetragen wurden , dachte ich für den Preis kann das keine hohe Qualität sein. Doch ich wurde eines besseren belehrt. Als Vorspeise bestellte ich gebackene Champions mit Knobi-Dip , die Champignons waren frisch und selbst paniert, kein Fertigprodukt. Der Knobi-Dip war selbstgemacht und ließ die Geschmacksknospen explodieren. Die Bedienung bemerkte sofort das mein Glas Cola Zero leer war und fragte mich ob ich noch etwas zu trinken möchte. Natürlich mochte ich noch ein 0,5 Cola Zero. Als Hauptspeise bekam ich mein Jägerschnitzel mit Pommes , mein Wunsch das Jägerschnitzel mit panierten Schnitzeln zu bekommen ,wurde ohne Probleme Folge geleistet. Die Portion möchte ich als XXL bezeichnen, aber die gebotene Qualität war 5 Sterne. Soße Selbstgemacht , Schnitzel paniert wie man es sonst nur aus Wien kennt, die Pommes dünn und auf den Punkt alles in allem ein Gaumenschmaus. Als Nachtisch gab es dann noch ein Eis mit Sahne und Schokosauce, dass auch hervorragend schmeckte. Was ich noch besonders hervorzuheben möchte , die Getränke sind in Glasflaschen, das Cola Zero war von Libella und schmeckte wunderbar. Schön das die Waldschänke mal einen anderen Weg geht und nicht Coca Cola ausschenkt.... Der Abend ging um wie im Flug. Danke an das super Team der Waldschänke. Die CB Funkfreunde Hassberge sagen vielen Dank und auf ein baldiges Wiedersehen.

Überragendes Essen! Tolles Ambiente und sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Wir waren sicher nicht zum letzten Mal dort! So geht Gastwirtschaft!

Es wird in Deutschland viel gemeckert, wenn etwas nicht gepasst hat. Selten nimmt man sich jedoch die Zeit, mal über das Positive zu berichten: Spontan mit der Suche „Schnitzel Kronach“ hier gelandet und ein Cordon Bleu bestellt. Mal unabhängig davon, dass es preislich unschlagbar ist, fehlen mir leider die Superlative, um dieses Cordon Bleu zu beschreiben. Ich weiß nicht, wann ich das letzte Mal (oder ob überhaupt) so ein absolut überragendes Cordon Bleu gegessen hatte. Erfrischend sympathischer Service, super Auswahl, sehr sehr faire Preise und eine Qualität, die ihres gleichen sucht. Wenn ich da so mit früheren Erlebnissen vergleiche, hätte man hier 6 Sterne verdient.

super gaststätte! uriges ambiente und netter service. Das Essen ist überragend! Das Bauernschnitzel (Cordon-Bleu mit Schinken und Chilisalami) mit Pfeffersoße war riesig und extrem lecker. Auch die Bräten und Klöse sind sehr empfehlenswert. Alles in Allem eine tolle traditionelle Gaststätte, auch preislich (Bauernschnitzel für 15,90€!) unschlagbar. Wir freuen uns jedesmal hierher zu kommen.

Wir saßen im kleinen Stübchen. Es war eine flauschige Wärme durch den Holzofen. Das Essen (Pfefferschnitzel, Cordon Bleu, Zwiebelsteack) waren qualitativ sehr gut und viel. Die Zwiebeln waren der Clou.

Jedesmal nur das beste einfach spitze und immer wieder gerne. 5 Sterne reichen leider nicht 🥰

Tolle kleine urige Gaststätte, hatten einen schönen 4er Tisch neben dem Kamin. Tolles Ambiente, sehr nette Bedienung. Wir hatten Nudeln mit cremiger Souce, das Röstzwiebelsteak, das Bauernschnitzel und ein Wiener Schnitzel das eigentlich zwei waren, so groß war es. Als Vorspeise den gebackenen Camanbert und den Ziegenkäse, alles sehr gut im Geschmack. Ich kann es nur Empfehlen und über dem Preis will ich gar nichts sagen, ist scho fast wie geschenkt, werden auf jeden Fall auch im Sommer mal vorbei schaun, der Biergarten sieht vielversprechend aus.

Wir sind seit Jahren...meist im Sommer immer mal wieder Gäste. Immer alles perfekt. Waren heute unterwegs und hungrig. Kurzer spontaner Anruf und wir bekamen ,obwohl es ziemlich voll war, einen Platz. Danke dafür. Ansonsten....Essen wie immer Frisch und megalecker. SEHR GROSSE PORTIONEN. Service trotz voller Hütte hervorragend. Und das Preis/Leistungsverhältniss klasse. Immer wieder gerne.

The Waldschänke is very quiet and secluded. The portions are more than sufficient and accordingly relatively inexpensive. This doesn't affect the taste at all. However, they could offer a wider selection of dishes, so I'm deducting a star. Nevertheless, the Waldschänke is highly recommended and always worth a visit.

Always delicious. If you're looking for good, traditional German food, this is the place to go.

The idyllically situated Stübental Restaurant boasts a menu full of delicious, freshly served dishes. There's also a guesthouse offering affordable, individually furnished, comfortable rooms. The breakfast is both hearty and plentiful. Add to that the friendly service provided by the always cheerful Mrs. Jakob, whose commitment to the well-being of her guests is unparalleled.

Whether it's schnitzel or cordon bleu, everything is absolutely delicious 😋. The service is incredibly fast, even when the restaurant or outside area is busy. You've barely sat down before your drinks are served. For a "small cordon bleu," the size is quite remarkable!

We had dinner at the Waldschänke. The selection is extensive, the food is very (very) good, and the price/performance ratio is very good. You can taste that everything is homemade and prepared in-house. The service is very attentive, fast, and very polite. In summary: a very good meal, a successful evening, to which the restaurant contributed with its food, staff, and service. We will definitely come more often from now on.

Yesterday, I was once again able to DJ my wedding, this time at the Waldschenke in Stübental. What can I say? Everything was top-notch, from the location and the service (really top-notch) to the absolutely delicious food. The schnitzel is actually a house specialty. 😋 - I really enjoyed it. Despite yesterday's weather (temperatures dropped to 12°C at night) and the semi-open-air location, it never felt cold to me. The fire bowls they set up and the heating columns, along with the sheltered location on the hill, never made it feel cold. - I highly recommend it ☝️ - eventdj4u

The Stübental is one of the best restaurants in the district, that's for sure! Constantly changing weekly menus, a goose breast that's second to none, and the finest venison specialties! Let yourself be enchanted by the charming service and this beautiful idyll in the middle of the forest.

The meal more than filled me up. The Cordon Bleu was unusually large and very delicious.😋 The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The manager, Marina, is a very sweet and kind woman! A beautifully situated forest tavern. Literally hidden in the forest, with shady spots. The food was excellent and plentiful. The service was very friendly and attentive. We'll be back.

No. The fish tasted old. Even the crispy crust couldn't hide that. The salad was good. The remaining cushions at the table were already being removed during the meal. But maybe we were just having a bad day.

We actually enjoyed eating in Stübental because the price-performance ratio was just right. Unfortunately, we have the feeling that here, as with many, the prices have increased but the portions have become smaller. (even if these are very plentiful, it is therefore noticeable) For us they were the best Cordon Bleu, but the taste was no longer what we know them to be. There were also relatively few fries. Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed after our last meal... What a shame

The Waldschänke is a place that I will think about for a very long time. And without exception, in a positive way. There we prepare fantastically good food with heart and passion as a family at really affordable prices. The portions are very good. The waitresses are absolutely on point. This is how you want to be taken care of for your money. The rooms, with their lovingly comfortable furnishings, also left nothing to be desired. I will definitely come back not only for business but also for pleasure. We were there as a team for several weeks and we grew so fond of everyone there because of their warmth... Thanks for the great hospitality.

What can you say - if all guesthouses and restaurants were so customer and service oriented, coupled with a family friendliness that was second to none, you wouldn't have to look at the reviews. We stayed there for several weeks and couldn't find anything negative at all. The food is amazing and no one gets up there hungry ;-) The boss and the service are great in every positive way. No matter what you want and need, almost everything is made possible - really a hit. We can really recommend the location without reservation, whether as accommodation or for dining. We'd love to come back, dearest team!

We stopped here spontaneously during a hike and got a nice seat in the beer garden, without a reservation and the “hut was full”! Fast and friendly service, extensive menu, reasonable prices. Everything perfect and very happy again. Keep it up! TOP!!! 👍🏼

As the name suggests, cozy in the forest and by a small lake. A small but good selection of home-style cuisine. Unfortunately, we arrived quite late for lunch with a larger group (13 people). The kitchen was already “empty” and we only had schnitzel to choose from. That's why it's better to pre-order. The portions were plentiful, we had to pack some of them up and take them with us.

The best schnitzels far and wide!

Was there today at 11:00 a.m. without a reservation, but still got a seat. Service and food were all great, large portions and fast service. I would be happy to do it again.

Two people arrived shortly after 3 p.m. and upon request there was only schnitzel. Ordered drinks and food after 5 minutes. (The menu wasn't just schnitzel and drinks) Around 4 p.m. ordered more drinks and waited for the food. Meanwhile, other guests arrived and were then given a menu (we didn't get it). While some of the employees helped themselves at the bar, the employees who greeted us and took our orders sat two tables away. These employees then ate and drank in peace themselves. At around 4:45 p.m. we waited long enough and asked where our food was. It should take about 15 minutes because the kitchen probably won't open until 5 p.m. (Unfortunately no one told us at reception, it's a shame) At the same time, the table behind us asked how long it would take (approx. 10 minutes). After almost 2 hours we unfortunately only paid for our drinks and went somewhere else.

On Marcel Z.'s recommendation, we visited the Waldschänke, attracted by the promise of a warm and inviting atmosphere. Without a reservation, however, we realized that we were denied the joy of a place in the sun and the full range of the menu. However, this did not detract from the quality of the food and service, as the culinary experience, especially the excellent schnitzel with its unique pepper crust, quickly made us forget any disappointment about the shaded spot.

We haven't eaten so well in a long time. All four of us were more than happy with the meal.
