We went hiking on Sunday. Around lunchtime, we got a little hungry, so we looked for something to eat. We decided on liver dumpling soup, and the Gasthof Wolfsschlucht offered it. We've rarely had such excellent liver dumpling soup! The "Wienerla" beer was also highly recommended.
So we decided to come back for our main course in the evening. We reserved a table in no time.
That evening, we enjoyed a truly delicious meal.
I had braised ox cheeks, and my husband had schnitzel with fries.
It was absolutely delicious. Typical Franconian home cooking, very tasty, super friendly service, great value for money, and huge portions. We'll be back!!!
Thank you, the Cichy family
Went there for the first time today.
The food was very good, and the portions were large.
The price was OK by today's standards.
All in all, highly recommended. 👍
I ordered food for delivery and after 1.5 hours I filed a complaint with Lieferando. Unfortunately, I can't reach anyone at the restaurant. It's a 10-minute walk from my house, and since I have an injury, I wanted to order something. Unfortunately, now I'm going hungry. Thanks for nothing! I've also activated buyer protection, just so you know. I can't rate the food since I didn't receive it.
They gave me a free pizza, which I was sooo happy about. I ate it right away, like, one, two, three, ains, vins, vins, vins. I'll definitely stop by again when I get back. And the salesman is a real sweetheart.
The food was good and the service attentive, which is why I was happy to tip more than 10%. Only afterwards did I notice, to my surprise, that an additional fee had been charged, presumably for card payments. Aside from the fact that I'm not familiar with this practice in Germany, it would have been fair to at least mention this extra charge before paying. Therefore, unfortunately, a small point deduction. 😏
We were here for dinner on Wednesday. Unfortunately, none of our Visa cards (5 cards in total) worked when paying, and we didn't have any cash with us. The waitress was very nice and told us that it was okay and that we could pay the €40 in cash the next day after work.
Unfortunately, we stayed at work much longer than planned the next day and didn't have time to come to the restaurant. With the understanding that we would pay the payment the next day, Friday.
The owner's reaction was completely inadequate - instead of a normal agreement, she started to escalate the situation extremely, called the police and even contacted our workplace in Germany, where we were threatened that if we didn't pay the amount immediately after work, action would be taken against us.
This situation caused us serious problems at work and we were threatened with being fired, because of the amount that we never refused to pay.
I understand that every business wants to get paid, but I find such behavior completely unprofessional and inappropriate. Instead of normal communication and human agreement, threats and pressure came.
I will never return to this business and I definitely do not recommend it.
A small and exquisite insider tip in Giesing, in a very quiet location.
This place offers 100% value for money. Even those with a "special need" are welcome. The service is just as excellent as the food.
We were passing through and stopped here for two doner kebabs and a durum (dürüm). They only served chicken. The food was delicious. 👍 Doner kebab €7
Durum (dürüm) €8
