Wunderschöner Biergarten mit altem Kastanienbestand. Gute gutbürgerliche Küche und flotter Service, das Bier von der hauseigenen Brauerei ist ein Genuss. Definitiv eine Empfehlung in der schönen Altstadt von Amberg.

Gutes Bier 🍺 Essen war so durchwachsen. Der Schweinebraten war zu hart und trocken. Das Ambiente (wir saßen im Wintergarten) war nicht so schön. Service war in Ordnung.

Hier hatte ich mein bisher bestes Sellerieschnitzel! Tolles Essen, süffiges Bier und Servicekräfte die auf Zack sind. Dazu noch ein Biergarten der zum Verweilen einlädt. Hier findet jeder was für seinen Geschmack. Gerne wieder!

Super Küche, egal ob Schweinebraten, Schäuferl oder Rinderfilet. Vorsichtshalber reservieren besonders an Wochenenden.

Der Service war wirklich schlecht. Absolutes Chaos, Bestellungeb doppelt oder gar nicht bekommen, ein Essen nach 5 Minuten, andere Essen 20 Min später, unfreundlich,... einmal stand eine Bedingung rechts von mir, eine links, beide reden auf mich ein, bis ich laut wurde, dann erst haben sie gecheckt, dass eine Kollegin bereits meine Bestellung aufnimmt - es war wild. Das Cordon Bleu war lecker, aber die Pommes Fertigprodukte. Das Ambiente innen höchst anstrengend, weil nichts den Schall dämmt, sodass einem der Kopf schmerzte, so laut war es...

Es war wunderbar hier. Alles hat gepasst! Das Essen war sehr sehr lecker und die Portionen reichlich. Man bekommt hier das beste Amberger Schäuffle. Immer wieder gerne!!! Unser absolutes Lieblingslokal!

Ein tolles Restaurant, das wir kürzlich in der Amberger Altstadt entdeckt haben. Hervorragendes Essen, schönes Ambiente, große Getränkeauswahl und gute Preise.

Essen war gut aber halt nicht überragend. Bedienung hat 2 Bestellungen bei 6 Personen falsch verstanden. Waren aber Kleinigkeiten.

Gute Auswahl an Speisen für alle Bedürfnisse, vegane und vegetarische Alternativen, schönes Ambiente, hab Baggers mit Salat und Räucherlachs gegessen, war sehr reichlich, schnell am Tisch und lecker. Preislich in Ordnung.

Guten Tag, Ich bin ein Freund euerer Küche und euerer Gastfreundschaft. Aber heute habt ihr mir das Kraut ausgeschüttet!!! 17:30uhr zum Essen da gewesen, 80% der Lokalität leer! Ich hab ein Cordon Bleu bestellt, dass nach altem Fett geschmeckt hat und ein Bier. Trotz Bockbierfest, noch keine Musik. Soweit so gut. Aber 5€ für ein Bier zu verlangen, mit der Begründung, dass es ein Bockbierfest-Zuschlag ist, ist eine absolute Frechheit. Wo sind wir denn?! Was kommt als nächstes, Ostersonntag vielleicht 100% Aufschlag, weil der Herr auferstanden ist??????

Sehr schönes und großes Lokal. Das Essen war super lecker und der Service war trotz Stress immer freundlich. Hier werden auch selbstgemachte Kuchen und Torten angeboten, die auch sehr gut schmecken und die Preise sind hier auch noch in Ordnung!

Habe da gut gegessen und Personal war auch sehr freundlich Kommt vorbei und überzeugt euch persönlich kann ich nur empfehlen

Nach einer schönen und informativen Brauereiführung haben wir im Restaurant noch zu Abend gegessen. Trotz großer Gruppe lief alles reibungslos und sehr schnell ab. Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Auf das Essen hat man nicht lange warten müssen und es schmeckte jedem hervorragend. Gerne komme ich wieder.

Da reserviert man extra um dann, aufgrund einer Feierlichkeit, die nicht „rechtzeitig „ gegangen ist, den reservierten Platz nicht zu bekommt. Dafür wird man vom unfreundlichen Personal darauf hingewiesen das das so ist und man ja die Geburtstagsgäste nicht heim schicken könne. (Kurze Anmerkung: Die wartenden Gäste kann man aber warten lassen und blöd anreden) Entweder scheitert es an der Organisation oder daran das manche Gäste „mehr Wert“ sind 🤷‍♀️.

Planlos und unverschämt. Leider kam es zu einer Doppelbelegung von Tischen. Trotz zweimaligem, klaren telefonischen Hinweises an den Inhaber und seine Kollegin, dass wir abends im Rahmen einer Weihnachtsfeier weiterhin zwei Tische benötigen, wurden diese dennoch anderweitig vergeben. Als uns daraufhin wörtlich mitgeteilt wurde, wir sollten „uns verziehen“, versuchten wir, ein klärendes Gespräch mit dem Inhaber zu führen. Dieses Anliegen wurde zunächst ignoriert. Nachdem wir uns weigerten, den Platz zu verlassen, erschien der Inhaber schließlich und äußerte als Grundlage für die eigenen Fehler, wir würden uns „asozial verhalten“ und er werde die Polizei rufen, obwohl dafür aus unserer Sicht kein Anlass bestand. Hier werden anscheinend wirtschaftliche Interessen höher gewichtet als kundenorientierte Lösungen. Zukünftig wird man dann doch andere Lokalitäten aufsuchen.

Hatten schon bestellt, dann aber nach 30 min die Nachricht bekommen, dass die Küche schon zu sei. Getränke mussten wir trotzdem bezahlen.

We were there for the New Year's Eve menu, which was absolutely delicious and the staff very friendly. The only downside was that it was too cold (in the vaulted ceiling).

A traditional inn serving classic German cuisine. The service has always been friendly and the food good on every visit. The seating in the conservatory is particularly lovely.

Unfortunately, an absolutely disappointing experience – and for the second time. Last year, we held our company Christmas party at Heimatgenuss Bruckmüller Bier. Our tables were double-booked, and after four hours, we were simply relegated to the aisle as if we were second-class guests. This year, we specifically arranged by phone beforehand that this should absolutely not happen again. We were assured that everything would be fine – and yet, the exact same thing happened again. We tried several times to speak to the manager, but were repeatedly brushed off. As a gesture of goodwill, we even voluntarily gave up two of our four large tables, which was then "tolerated as an exception." After only 1.5 hours, a server came and practically shouted at us in a completely inappropriate tone, demanding that she needed the tables, that we leave the premises immediately, and that we had supposedly been too loud – which is utter nonsense! An absolute outrage and incredibly disrespectful way to treat 30 paying guests, especially at a company event that was planned well in advance. This place doesn't even deserve one star! We will never visit this establishment or their beer again, nor will we recommend it to anyone. Thanks for this "wonderful" Christmas party.

We were a large group. The food was very good and served quickly for everyone, as were the drinks. Highly recommended, excellent cuisine.

A traditional Bavarian inn with a comprehensive menu offering both hearty and more refined dishes. Service was very quick and friendly. We were there on business with three people in mid-November; around 10:00 pm the crowded dining room emptied quickly and it was closing time.

Brewery Inn with Traditional Home Cooking We enjoyed a classic Sauerbraten here and were very satisfied. The dumplings and dumplings on the side were also delicious. The beer is easy to drink and goes well with the rest. The ambiance is rustic and very well-kept. A cozy atmosphere, fitting for an inn. The service was very friendly. Great hospitality! Highly recommended.

Highly recommended. We stopped by for a beer in the afternoon and reserved a table for the evening. Both the liver dumpling soup and the sauerbraten with various dumplings were truly delicious. The beers were also very good. The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance both inside and outside was very pleasant. The value for money is also absolutely fantastic. We give it a full 5 stars.

Four of us went to eat lunch in the dining room on a Sunday afternoon, with tables that weren't overly busy. We ordered vegetable gratin, roast pork, schnitzel, and cordon bleu. We were familiar with the vegetable gratin (€16.50) from our last visit and were very disappointed this time. It was considerably smaller, and what we understand by a gratin is something baked with cheese, resulting in a crust. This time, there was no crust; instead, the vegetables were served in a thick, white sauce in which cheese seemed to have been melted. Three potatoes, two cauliflowers, and the rest of the vegetables weren't exactly identifiable. We also remembered the quantity being larger. For the schnitzel (€15.00 + €1.00) and the cordon bleu (€17.20 + €1.00), we wanted a different side dish, which was charged at an additional €1.00. In our opinion, this is part of the service and is completely unacceptable. If you want a salad with your meal, you have to order and pay an additional €4.60. This brings the roast pork price to €19.10.

First of all, we got a seat in the aisle even though we were told when making the reservation that we would be sitting in the hall or beer garden. Thanks to the nice service we finally got into the hall. But then you want to order a round of schnapps...people can't do it anymore. .. Order from the boss...you have to go out to the cold bar...and get it yourself. Too bad

The food was good but portions relative to price made it a bit overpriced. Having a 50€ minimum to pay with a card in 2025 is just completely ridiculous. The restaurant needs to get with the times.

Definitely one of the top addresses in Amberg if you want to eat good home cooking. There is also an honest tavern atmosphere. The service is on point. The boss is very hurt, you can't negotiate a schnapps on the house after dinner with her. But it's also rare in other Amberg taverns

In Amberg - the locals say - there used to be 9 different breweries ( nowadays there are only 5 left? if I'm not mistaking too much) and Bruckmuller is one of those places. Situated in the central area of the Old Town - inside the old city walls - in the building of the former monastery ( hence the logo with the happy, beer drinking monk) - same building that is home to the Stadttheater too. The location is great - old stone building - and a large seating capacity in several different rooms - however if you want to be sure, just book a table in advance , it tends to get crowded. Service is very fast - like every where in Bavaria. The food , well a lot of good choices on the menu - I went for the Schaufele a typical Franconian dish - but I was happy to find it here too ... Beer selection is also great - I've tasted a few of the ( like 5 ) but there is more to be "tasted". Prices - very decent - and you can pay with card. Overall a great place I do recommend you try it when in Amberg.

Food was good, had the Bavarian schnitzel, filling was close to the salt limit, I personally like that, my companions found it a bit too much. What was too much for me is a wheat for €5 😕.

First time in a "gasthaus", rather austere decor with photos of the founders. Most of the guests drink beer, personally I had local white wine. No bread on the table, we sauce with the accompaniments. For my lover roast pork and knödel, for me, deer fillet and spätzle, I really like game and in Bavaria, it is abundant.

Yes, the gastro location, like some others in this city, reflects the historical way of life of the Upper Palatinate region very well.

We were in Amberg for 2 days over New Year's Eve and had asked in advance at the tourist office that the "Heimatgenuss" was mentioned as one of the few places that were open on New Year's Eve and had made a reservation by phone about 3 weeks in advance (a previous email request was not answered). Reacts). There was a large and small New Year's Eve menu and all in all the quality of the various courses was high and tasty. Although I am a good eater, I found the size of the large menu to be oversized and I would have found it better to leave out a course or keep the portions smaller. The service (lots of young people) was nice and efficient, but I found the distance between the individual courses to be too long, so we didn't get to the main course until after 10:00 p.m. (started at 7:30 p.m.). I would also like to highlight the beautiful and harmonious ambience of the restaurant, you felt very comfortable from the first second.

Ten of us as a family on Boxing Day. First shift (from 11:15), the staff was a little relaxed. The drinks are top notch, brewery :-) Lemonade, cola, spritzer, beer - all good. The food: The dishes were at the right intervals, the soups and side salads were really good. In particular the salads were much better than last time. They were really fun, from the cucumber to the steamed carrot, the cabbage to the mixed green salad with radicchio. Vegetarian and omnivorous main courses came afterwards. I tried cordon bleu (excellent!!), pepper steak and pork fillet Försterin with spaetzle. Everything was very well seasoned and the degree of doneness of the steak was exactly right. The cordon bleu was very buttery and crispy. Lots of flavor. The pork fillet forester with fresh mushrooms: a dream. Really good food. Due to the shift work, there was no time left for dessert, not even coffee, despite the attentive service. I understand that the restaurant should be at maximum capacity to make a profit. And the timing 11:15/13:00 also makes sense. Nevertheless, it's just tight for three courses. Two goes well, three will be tight. I will come again!

We were there at Christmas and ate one of the vegan dishes and were very impressed. The beet ragout with spinach dumplings is super good, spicy and a good portion. The service was totally friendly. The only thing I would like to improve would be that the splash of yoghurt dressing on the side salad is either left out or mentioned in the menu, as this means it is no longer vegan and that is not obvious beforehand.

I felt very comfortable in the location every time! The innkeeper couple runs the inn with tireless passion. Enjoyment and comfort are very important here! The red wine cake or the homemade chocolates are particularly delicious!

We regularly eat at HeimatGenuss. Whether it's a small snack, dinner or a few delicious pieces of cake to take away on Sunday. You can tell every time that the dishes are cooked with high-quality and fresh products. An absolute recommendation in Amberg!

Great food, everything was very tasty and freshly prepared. Service was friendly, but seemed very uncoordinated, the food all came at different times, everyone ate alone almost the entire time, all the dining rooms were fully occupied, so I don't see it as such a tragedy. We'll definitely be back.

Local enjoyment of the Erras family, formerly the long-term tenants of the well-known mountain farm on Mariahilfberg. Now in the old town of Amberg. People like to drive 100 km here. We were thrilled. Had goose, venison, beef fillet and various roasts, all excellent, big praise to the chef. The service was quick and friendly. However, you should make a reservation on the weekend as it is always fully booked. It is best to park in the parking garage, as parking spaces are limited in the city center. Definitely a clear recommendation from us👍
