Venison loin with game sauce, red cabbage, cranberries, and spaetzle, plus extra sauce – it was absolutely delicious. The loin was incredibly tender, and the sauce was top-notch.
Prices are constantly rising, while quality is declining...
The dürüm (€10!) was abysmal:
- There was no beef because they obviously changed the spit too late. So it was just turkey.
- The flatbread was still partially raw and not cooked through. They were clearly trying to rush through the customers.
- Very little meat, as they obviously couldn't be bothered to cut it again.
- An excessive amount of red cabbage; hardly any other vegetables.
The staff was also unusually unfriendly.
We regularly got takeout here and occasionally ate in. However, for about a year now, the quality has noticeably declined. At the same time, the prices are rising.
We will therefore be going to a different restaurant.
A visit to a restaurant. The meal was a platter with tuna tubes, stuffed minced meat, beef liver, rice, fries, onions, and grilled vegetables. In short, it was a complete kitchen disaster. The tuna tubes were tiny frozen tuna... absolutely tough and not grilled as advertised. In short, awful. The stuffed minced meat, for some reason, had a terrible smoky taste. The beef liver was okay. The vegetable rice, I think, had been reheated a thousand times and was disgusting. The fries were awful. The whole thing was served on a wooden board, which looked absolutely disgusting and soggy. The ajwa and mayonnaise were the cheapest kind. The two of us paid around €65, including drinks and cold espressos each. A truly terrible meal...never again...sorry.
Best doner kebab in town, and it's been that way for over 20 years! ✌️
I hope this doner kebab stays around for a long time.
Yes, it's more expensive, but it's worth it.
Tip: Try the French sauce on the doner and some cheese... amazing!
We stayed here for two nights and felt very comfortable. If it were possible to give 10 stars for service, it would have received 10 stars. Such a lovely hostess! You can really see the attention to detail throughout the hotel. We enjoyed our stay very much…thank you for the wonderful time.
Unfortunately, we can't understand the many positive reviews. It was our first time there with our family, and we had made a reservation for over ten people. Despite this, the tables weren't pushed together, so our large group had to sit separately – very inconvenient and incomprehensible given the size of our reservation.
The food was a mixed bag: one pizza was burnt, and all the meat dishes contained canned beans, which didn't go well with the flavors at all. The fries were mediocre at best. No spoon was provided with the pasta dishes. Overall, everything was very cramped, and the restaurant clearly shows its age.
The young man who served us seemed annoyed and unfriendly and had a very high opinion of himself. In addition, several items were forgotten. What was particularly annoying was the extremely staggered service: some received their food after about 10 minutes, while others had to wait up to 30 minutes – completely unacceptable for a family gathering.
In short:
Pizza was good, but that's about it.
Taste: meh.
Atmosphere: meh.
Service: meh.
We won't be visiting this restaurant again.
Update! My child and husband had stomach aches and diarrhea that evening.
We went for vegetarian doner kebabs one evening during the week, and the vegetables were incredibly fresh and delicious, plus the service was super friendly! We drove all the way from Illertissen to Vöhringen 😊
Excellent Mediterranean food with fresh ingredients and great flavor. The view of the cathedral is beautiful and makes the visit special. Friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere. I'd gladly come again.
This is by far the best Thai food in the area. The lunch menu is very reasonably priced, and in the evenings, the prices are also fair for the quality offered; the value for money is excellent. The location itself is lovely, and parking is generally available.
However, a clear point of criticism is that in the evenings—especially when the restaurant is busy—you are relatively often asked to vacate your table after finishing your meal and drinks. This has happened to us personally, and it leaves a rather unpleasant aftertaste, as it abruptly ends the evening. At the same time, I understand the reasoning, as the restaurant is very popular and has limited space. Reservations are definitely recommended.
Regardless, the food and service are of a very high standard. I order from them regularly, but I also enjoy dining in in the evenings and have never been disappointed. Both the cuisine and the service are absolutely convincing, and overall, it's highly recommended.
