So, we often eat at a Greek restaurant.
What immediately stands out is that there's no ouzo as a welcome drink.
For a grilled plate for €20, there's very little on it. Hardly any onions, no salad on the plate, and not even as an appetizer.
The prices online and on the website are old. The new prices are 30% more expensive.
My gyro was too black and dry, and the souvlaki were basically just meat skewers.
They were never marinated with lemon and oregano and were very small.
So, out of about 20 Greek restaurants, this is the worst. Everything you'd expect from a Greek restaurant is available here, not just the service, which is good, fast, and friendly.
Very good, tasty pizza, and the price is quite reasonable. Wonderful service and waiters. I liked everything – everything was delicious! Unpretentious. You can eat and chat with friends. Parking nearby. The location is good, near the Main River.
Very good food with fantastic value for money. We had a very pleasant evening.
Addendum 2024: I think it's really great when restaurants manage to maintain the same excellent quality for years without drastically increasing their prices.
Thank you very much.
You're doing a great job.
Addendum 2025
We were at Pizzeria da Marcello in Pang again this evening. Unfortunately, our visit was disappointing this time. The service was not attentive or warm. The hospitality we once appreciated was completely missing. The portions have also become significantly smaller. It's a shame, because we used to really enjoy coming here.
By far the best pizza in Freising until the beginning of the year. Unfortunately, the pizza has declined significantly since February/March, probably due to a new chef or worse ingredients. Hopefully the pizza will taste like Italy again soon, at the moment it's nothing special anymore.
We were there today and weren't disappointed. Quite the opposite. Friendly service and excellent food. And the prices...you'd hardly believe them. Two meals from the lunch menu (it was more than enough) and two large drinks for €29.60. If we're back in Memmingen, we'll definitely come back here.
The fact that we didn't get an ouzo or an espresso like the table next to us didn't bother us. It's optional, after all, and can sometimes get lost in the joy of vacation. Hence, 5 stars.
For the ambiance, only 4, as the hallway to the restroom seems a bit disorganized. This might be because the beer garden isn't open due to the weather.
Bottom line: Top!
We were guests for the first time this evening. We'll definitely be back and recommend the restaurant to our friends.
Exceptionally attentive and friendly service and truly delicious food—not too much, but still filling enough to satisfy—made for a lovely end to a summery August Sunday. The value for money is also excellent. And the numerous guests are proof that others probably feel the same way.
The broken rice just served has the aroma of grilled ribs, the fish sauce is sweet and sticky, the cabbage soup is also delicious, only the egg roll is a bit dry and old, the skin is not very good. The Hue beef noodle soup has all the nails and blood, the taste is quite harmonious, for me it is okay. Overall the food is quite delicious, just a few small things are not perfect. The dessert is also sweet enough, cool to eat. There is also a cute candy counter.
There were four of us there (two adults and two children). When we ordered the grill platter for two, we were immediately told that it was enough for all of us, which we thought was great; otherwise, we probably would have had to take two full meals home. The platter was well-filled with rice, fries, and plenty of meat. Everything tasted great, and the service was excellent, too.
Unfortunately, we couldn't reconcile the quality and price with the service. It was our first time here and perhaps our expectations were too high. The oysters (Fine Claire) were very fresh and good, as were the desserts. The crème brûlée and sorbet variations (basil, lychee, and strawberry) were very tasty (although the latter was too large in portions). The aim (according to the chef) is to prepare the fish perfectly on the charcoal grill; unfortunately, our Loupe de Mer was grilled too "hard," the skin mostly blackened, and the meat was already very cooked and dry around the edges. Admittedly, I didn't mention it to the chef until afterward. Nevertheless, a gesture like the espresso on the house would have been nice.
Unfortunately, the service also doesn't live up to expectations. The waitress asks who wants what and, after receiving an answer, serves the man at the table first. There's no separate butter knife on the bread plate for spreading the bread, and no fish cutlery, except for a fork for the oysters.
The atmosphere is great, because it's right next to the slaughterhouse. The downside is that there was some truck traffic on a Friday evening (we sat outside) and a few annoying flies.
I stayed at this hotel for an overnight stay. I received a very friendly welcome. My room was a large double room. The mattress was very soft and saggy. I still slept well. The breakfast was delicious and there was a good selection. The price-performance ratio was right.
