Mainburger Stube in Mainburg

Our amateur radio group of approximately 12 people visited the Mainburger Stube on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Everyone was delighted with the excellent food. The service was very friendly, and the proprietor himself came to our table to personally receive our praise. We wish the proprietor and his staff continued success and continued quality standards, top notch. THANK YOU!

Schnitzel: TOP! Potato salad: TOP! Venison roast: TOP! ...this is what we ate... Very friendly and attentive staff! ...we'd be happy to go again!

Today was my first time at the Mainburger Stube☺️. I was pleasantly surprised 👍. The service is excellent. The food is delicious. Unfortunately, I can only give it 5 stars.

It was really delicious, and the people were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely go there more often if I lived in the area.

I've been there several times and am always very satisfied. Good value for money, large portions, and excellent quality. As a pumpkin lover, I had the pumpkin soup (served in a pumpkin) and pumpkin ravioli.

We were pleasantly surprised on our first visit, and now, as our photos show, we're happy to return again and again. Every experience here has been a complete delight. The welcome is always warm, the service attentive and warm. Even special requests are fulfilled without hesitation, which we particularly appreciate. The dishes are not only delicious, but also lovingly presented and made with noticeably high-quality ingredients. You can see and taste the care. The portions are generous and filling, yet so finely balanced that you'll want to leave room for dessert. In short: A place that delights both the heart and the palate, and one that we can warmly recommend to everyone.

As usual, there were four of us at our regular table at the Mainburger Stube. The ambiance is entirely in Bavarian tavern style. The dishes are a decent size and very tasty. The staff is always friendly and always up for a joke. The service is very polite and, above all, fast. They also offer lunch and dinner specials every day at a discounted price. The lunch specials are also a good portion for tradespeople to take away.

The Lower Bavarian rump steak was, as always, a dream come true—cooked to perfection, juicy, and full of flavor. The accompanying fine sparkling wines complemented the experience perfectly.

Very friendly staff, really attentive and efficient. We felt very comfortable. Unfortunately, the food was nothing special. The meat in my roast beef with onions was just as tough as my wife's veal schnitzel. The side salad had no flavor. The potato salad had an artificially yellow color. A real shame. ☹️

I am visiting my aunt here in Mainburg and landed here more by chance, I have to say the roast is really great, yesterday I had ox breast from the copper pot and today I am trying the fillet of brook trout, I am looking forward to it

--- Update from July 23, 2025 --- We eat here regularly, but today we went back after a long absence. Unfortunately, it just hasn't been working out recently. The service is still really nice and attentive. Unfortunately, the portions (Cordon Bleu) have become noticeably smaller. Fewer fries, smaller Cordon Bleu. The owner certainly has his reasons for this, but when I pay the same price (€50 for two people), it's unfortunately noticeable (negative). --- Update from November 5, 2022 --- Today we went there for the first time in a while. Unfortunately, we weren't at all impressed. The prices seemed to have increased and the portions smaller—at least, that was our impression today. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy the food itself as much as we're used to here at the Mainburger Stube. The steak was well done, not medium, and the duck died twice, once in the oven. The pepper sauce was more like a cream sauce and didn't even taste like pepper. We weren't even really impressed by the salad. ☹️ It's a shame, we're definitely used to something different from the team at the Mainburger Stube. --- Original Post --- Nice little beer garden, super delicious food at reasonable prices. A very good restaurant with a lovely beer garden. The food is delicious, no matter what you order from the menu. The portions are generous, so you'll feel full, and for those who aren't that hungry, there are also smaller portions! - Great! They have special kids' dishes and even free spaetzle with sauce for the little ones - how great that a place like this still exists! Definitely recommend it, and 5***** isn't enough for the service :)

Great service, totally on the ball. Great food with large, delicious portions! Obviously, the kids got homemade spaetzle with sauce on the house, wow! If we're ever in the area again, this will be our place.

We were there for the first time today, there are great people working there, everyone is very nice and friendly! very tasty food, good prices! and the best part today was that at the end they brought me a free dessert from the restaurant in honor of Mother's Day. Great food with traditional cuisine.

The really good food (German cuisine), the classic, cozy atmosphere and the very friendly staff make this restaurant stand out in the surrounding area. Very varied lunch with fish and meat dishes prepared with love. À la carte dishes of classic German/Bavarian cuisine are all highly recommended. If you have special requests, the chef will conjure up a really good alternative to the given dishes. I enjoy coming to eat here and can recommend everyone to visit this restaurant! Bad food, dubious behavior of the boss

Best restaurant for traditional cuisine in Mainburg. Very nicely decorated and the dishes served are unbeatable in terms of price and quality. The meat is cooked perfectly on demand, homemade spaetzle and more make the experience simply perfect. Overall, a great experience and a must-visit for anyone in the area who appreciates home cooking.

Delicious food. Superb game dishes. Great desserts. Something different. During peak hours, the service was extremely overwhelmed/inattentive. Therefore, one point deducted. They could work on that... On the plus side: there are large and small portions to choose from. The smaller one is certainly larger than the regular ones elsewhere. I'd be happy to go back 😀

Simple, clean restaurant. But: Great friendly, very attentive service. The food is simply delicious. We haven't had such a crispy crust when roasting pork for a long time! The boiled beef in a rich vegetable stock melted in your mouth, served with fine fried potatoes and creamed savoy cabbage. Simply delicious and we'll be back soon!

Had lunch in the Stubn today. I have to say it was outstanding! Absolutely great price for what is on offer! Very tasty, we had roast pork, the portion was very generous and top quality! People who don't go to the Mainburger Stube in Mainburg have missed something. It's always worth a visit. You will feel right away and will always be happy to come back.

Em nice dinner and persunal is great

We were there on December 26th. There for dinner. I had saddle of salmon with vegetable tagliatelle and my friend had venison ragout. Venison ragout was okay, the salmon was inedible and the pasta was overcooked.

Recently been to the Mainburger Stube. My companion and I were very hungry and each ordered large portions of roast pork. Everything went together wonderfully… very tasty and plentiful. Simply Bavarian and hearty. The service is very attentive, fast and super friendly. Overall, the entire package fits. It is only recommended if you want hearty Bavarian artisanal food, you will really be happy here. Keep it up, I'll be back!

Today we deliberately visited the restaurant based on the great reviews and the pictures on Insta. We weren't disappointed. We chose the lunch dish of onion roast with vegetables and potatoes. Great, medium fried and buttery soft. The Kaiserschmarrn also had to be tested. We were thrilled by the wonderfully fluffy and caramelized Schmarrn. Clear recommendation. We'd love to come back.

We spontaneously went here for an afternoon meal while passing through. From the Leberkäs, cordon bleu, roast beef, cheese spaetzle and the crowning finale, the delicious Kaiserschmarrn, everything was very tasty. Of course the regional beer also tastes great!
